The nurse and doctors are so nice and not clinical. Takes their time to ask questions and doesn't make you feel rushed or like a number! It is a walk-in clinic so first come first serve. The best thing is, after you check in, they let you know when to come back. So do not call to make an appointment. I would say the latest to go would probably be 3pm to be safe if you want to be seen. I went on a Sunday at 1 and they were all booked and they close at 4pm. If you are skeptical about here, don't be. It would be a good decision to go.

The last time I did a telehealth with him, our internet service went down after the first 30 seconds and I called him back immediately, but his nurse said "he's moved on to his next patient" and I got slapped with a co-payment/bill for that telehealth visit that didn't even happen! One of his APRNs prescribed an antibiotic meant for upper respiratory infections for my UTI - haiyaa! (Uncle Roger sound). I hope my PCP/APRN are not reading this, but if they are, they will know where I disappeared to, and it is here, my new medical home for non-emergencies! I still love them but I also love this place....a LOT. Access Medical Mililani is my new go-to place when I can no longer: 1) wait days/weeks for an appointment 2) suffer insanely 3) bear the thought of waiting 45 minutes to 1 hour or more in the waiting room to be seen by my PCP 4) bear the thought of driving in traffic going to the appointment, being stuck in a crowded paid parking lot with bad drivers, being stuck in traffic going home all while feeling sick 5) wonder how my PCP can diagnose me over the phone without checking my lungs, my ears, my throat. Both doctors took care of me on two separate occasions - in person! No telehealth Tom Foolery here. They were very knowledgeable, professional, caring, and kind. They explained everything in detail and I never felt rushed. I really appreciated their time in taking care of me. I was very grateful for this place and all doctors/workers that run this clinic. I overheard the receptionist say that they take Quest insurance, and that is great, because a lot of places will not take Quest. I know so many people that need help with Quest but they can't get seen. The name "Access" in Access Medical really is a great name for this place. I also love the fact that they charge you the co-payment right up front instead of having it to mail it by check weeks later, which is inconvenient to a procrastinator like myself who throws mail into a big pile without checking it for weeks. This place is super convenient, inside of Mililani Long's Town Center. Parking is free, zip in and out. It's a walk-in clinic only, so no appointment needed. I don't see people waiting too long to be seen. Shop at Long's while you get your RX filled out conveniently in the store. RETURN FACTOR: Don't want to have to look forward to going to a medical clinic anytime soon, but when I do, it will be Access Medical.

He doesn't have a receptionist and his work phone is his personal phone. He's not very good at phone etiquette and answers rather abruptly. I've gotten used to that, I'm just lazy to switch pcp's already. LOL I like him as a doctor he cares and gives good advice. When I need a doctors note for school or work he doesn't give me any hassle when I come in to get checked up on. His schedule is kind of all over the place so make sure to call. His office has no bathroom. There's free parking. Appointments are recommended.

I was referred to Dr Yang for a colonoscopy - a 3 year post - polyp removal follow up. Below were some of my many concerns: 1.I found his administrative staff to be polite but incompetent - especially a male named Vincent. Vincent would repeatedly contact me over the course of 4 months to request my "healthcare authorization". Which I repeatedly re-sent. This was actually not what he needed. He was actually requesting my "health history". 2. The weekend before my scheduled "pre -procedure" appointment - Vincent contacted me yet again to let me know they had not yet received my "healthcare authorization". He said they would have to "cancel" my pre - procedure appointment " if they did not receive my paperwork by 5pm on that Friday. I again sent my "medical authorization " paperwork. Unfortunately- it was a Friday. And I realized my appointment was at 8am the following Monday. I did not want them to cancel an appointment that I had waited 4 months for. So - I contacted Dr Yang via cell number provided by voicemail. I reached him - and he was audibly disturbed that I had dared to contact him regarding ensuring that my appointment was kept as my paperwork was in order...he did wish to concern himself with such a trivial matter. I found him to be abrupt, condescending....and rude over the phone. 3. I showed up early on Monday morning with my husband at my side. Dr Yang was late. His waiting room was small- there were 3 other patients waiting with me. So - he's "cramming" 4 patients into an 8am time slot - with only ONE physician. As he entered - he was clearly irritable- he barked at his front desk staff to remove a sign from his office front door. As I was seated right next to the door - and his staff were behind an enclosed desk ( they would have had to walk around) - to be helpful I got up and removed the sign as he wished. He did not like that. He wanted his own staff to do as he bid. Already off to a bad start. 4. During my office visit - it became very clear that it was a "pre-procedure" visit. For a COLONOSCOPY. I've had 2 previous colonoscopies. The purpose of my visit was so that he could SELL me his "special" colon prep. And he wanted to explain to us personally all the details of his colon prep. During this entire visit - he was rude and condescending. He did not like the fact that I had called him personally on the weekend to ensure that I would see him Monday morning. He did not like the fact that both my husband and I were a nurse and a physician - he needed to let us understand we knew our place in HIS world. 5. We bought his "special" colon prep. I went home - and realized that Dr Yang was probably the worst physician I have ever encountered- both as a nurse working at Straub Hospital in their ICU...and as a patient. Horrible bedside manner...and I certainly was not willing to find out if his clinical skills were any better by letting him insert a scope into my unconscious body. I wrote above so that every person on Oahu would understand that they do not need to be treated in such an ABUSIVE way and receive substandard care from any physician. Just walk away. NO. I cancelled the appointment with him. Dr Russell Yang should never practice again. Dr James W O'Brien at Surgicare Hawaii eventually did my colonoscopy. He was EXCELLENT.

Parking is located downstairs of the hospital. But I always get dropped off so I don't pay for parking. Don't know how much the parking is. They're close on Saturdays and Sundays. Just Mondays to Fridays.

The pediatricians that take care of my kids are very knowledgable and caring. At first they saw Dr. Paul Chan. He was excellent talking to children and parents, and suggested certain shots for them to take and gave sound advice. Unfortunately, he retired and now my son goes to Dr. Ryan Chung. He is also very nice and will explain thoroughly if we have any questions. Although appointments are always scheduled far in advance, they will fit us in when they can if my kids are sick, and I am reminded by email or text for appts scheduled far in advance. The front desk is always on it and if I have a question, the assistant or doctor will call within a day, usually after or close to closing. If their primary dr is off, there are 2 others that cover so I don't have to wait or find another doctor. They have a 2 story play area for little kids, and a hand sanitizer in the waiting room as well. Paid parking is in the building, but I always shop at pearlridge so I park at the pearlridge parking lot instead.
