Access Medical in Mililani Town Cntr is great!! Although my copay is higher, this is my go-to! The receptionist is friendly, organized and proficient at her job. The nurse and doctors are so nice and not clinical. Takes their time to ask questions and doesn't make you feel rushed or like a number! It is a walk-in clinic so first come first serve. The best thing is, after you check in, they let you know when to come back. So do not call to make an appointment. I would say the latest to go would probably be 3pm to be safe if you want to be seen. I went on a Sunday at 1 and they were all booked and they close at 4pm. If you are skeptical about here, don't be. It would be a good decision to go. read more

If I could make Drs. Thompson and Yamashiro my PCP's forever I defintely would! I do love my PCP but he's all the way in town. The last time I did a telehealth with him, our internet service went down after the first 30 seconds and I called him back immediately, but his nurse said "he's moved on to his next patient" and I got slapped with a co-payment/bill for that telehealth visit that didn't even happen! One of his APRNs prescribed an antibiotic meant for upper respiratory infections for my UTI - haiyaa! (Uncle Roger sound). I hope my PCP/APRN are not reading this, but if they are, they will know where I disappeared to, and it is here, my new medical home for non-emergencies! I still love them but I also love this place....a LOT. Access Medical Mililani is my new go-to place when I can no longer: 1) wait days/weeks for an appointment 2) suffer insanely 3) bear the thought of waiting 45 minutes to 1 hour or more in the waiting room to be seen by my PCP 4) bear the thought of driving in traffic going to the appointment, being stuck in a crowded paid parking lot with bad drivers, being stuck in traffic going home all while feeling sick 5) wonder how my PCP can diagnose me over the phone without checking my lungs, my ears, my throat. Both doctors took care of me on two separate occasions - in person! No telehealth Tom Foolery here. They were very knowledgeable, professional, caring, and kind. They explained everything in detail and I never felt rushed. I really appreciated their time in taking care of me. I was very grateful for this place and all doctors/workers that run this clinic. I overheard the receptionist say that they take Quest insurance, and that is great, because a lot of places will not take Quest. I know so many people that need help with Quest but they can't get seen. The name "Access" in Access Medical really is a great name for this place. I also love the fact that they charge you the co-payment right up front instead of having it to mail it by check weeks later, which is inconvenient to a procrastinator like myself who throws mail into a big pile without checking it for weeks. This place is super convenient, inside of Mililani Long's Town Center. Parking is free, zip in and out. It's a walk-in clinic only, so no appointment needed. I don't see people waiting too long to be seen. Shop at Long's while you get your RX filled out conveniently in the store. RETURN FACTOR: Don't want to have to look forward to going to a medical clinic anytime soon, but when I do, it will be Access Medical. read more

Dragged my sick self in at noon on a Sunday and they were no longer accepting appointments for the day (They close early on Sundays). On Monday, I casually tried to go back shortly after 9am (opening time) but saw a handful of people in line filling out clipboards, so I left. On Tuesday, I finally got my act together and made an effort to get there a few minutes before 9:00 a.m. and was the first person in line. Filled out the forms as a first-time patient, was seen within 10 minutes by Dr. Yamashiro. He is thorough yet efficient in his communication (and his hair is just as amazing in-person as it is on their website), I picked up my prescription next door at CVS, and was done by 10am. Been having symptoms of dizziness & lightheaded for a few days. Messaged my PCP & told me to go to an urgent care asap.. This clinic was 10 min away from home so I tried it out for the first time. There were four people ahead of me & I waited about an hour with my 4 month old baby. Everyone was so nice & didn't mind that I had my baby with me which is a bonus because I didn't know if he would affect me being seen. Dr Yamashiro was very nice & informative. Went to Access Medical Clinic in Mililani Town Center this afternoon. It says they close at 6:00 pm. We arrived at 5:20 pm and were told they were too busy to see my Mom and to come back tomorrow or go to another facility. If they say they open until 6:00 pm they should see all the patients that arrive before 6:00 pm. They should change their hours to close at 4:00 pm if they can't accommodate the patients. Came to this clinic on 4/19/2020! During this pandemic because I didnt want to go to the ER being I feel its an emergency but not, if that makes any sense.... The lady at the front was RUDE AS HELL!!!!! I dont like doing reviews like this, but VERY unacceptable. Came out the office telling me I had a bill that went to collections (I knew NOTHING about), I offered to pay watever it was to take care of it, she blatantly looked at me and said "We cant even see you until you pay this bill" Walked away n said NOTHING!!!!!!! To this ELDERLY lady working the front!!!! SHAME on you for not giving me options to pay this bill but immediately told me there was NOTHING the could do, when I was willing to take care of this so called "bill".... It's not the clinic that should be rated, it should be the physicians! All doctors are not created equal. If you needed to see a doctor right away rather than wait two weeks to be seen by your PCP, this clinic offers that convenience. Dr. Thompson and Dr. Yamashiro are great physicians and will give you a very professional and thorough care. I would only go in if these two docs are working; the other two are dismissive and will take your symptoms lightly. As it is, I don't like going to see doctors so when I feel sick enough to go in, I don't like hearing I'm not ill enough for treatment!! You will not get that with Dr. Thompson or Dr. Yamashiro; they will help with the symptoms and cause of your illness. The nurses are very nice as well. read more

I called earlier today to see if there were any available appointments to get a TB shot & luckily for me, there was one! It took less than 3 minutes to get the shot. However, I did have to wait about 10-15minutes to be seen. I suggest making an appointment in advance because you'll probably have to wait longer if you just do a walk-in. Came here a few hours ago because my doctors office is closed today. I have a slightly inflamed throat from what I found out is a sinus infection. When I got there I was greeted by friendly staff. The nurse who checked my vitals was very friendly. Then I saw Dr. Thompson who was very nice & explained everything very well. He even taught me how to take my daily nasal spray. There wasn't any other patients there waiting so I was able to get in & out of there in half an hour or less! Awesome. I didn't even know that there was a walk in clinic here inside of Longs in Mililani! It's located all the way in the back. It's very small though compared to Urgent Care in Pearl city. There is a waiting area inside and right outside. I believe there is two rooms. Waiting time was about 20 minutes. I came in because of a really bad cold (coughing). The nurse was super nice. She took down basic information. My doctor was Dr. Raymond Thompson. He was very nice too! I told him I wanted this specific cough syrup and he was kind and said yes, he can give me that and something else to help with my throat area. My co-payment was about $18. I'm glad I came here! It's convenient since we're in Kong's so I just had to drop of my prescription right next door literally lol. I will definitely come back and recommend here! read more

So this is now my THIRD visit to Access Medical Clinics within the last 32 days... that's something that I'm definitely NOT proud of lol... I'm a nurse but I HATE going to the doctor! Read my previous review to see parking/facility/general notes about this place. I was STILL coughing up mucous from having lovely bronchitis for OVER a month, but towards the end of the month I began to have ear pain and muffled hearing... oh yay an ear infection now. Lucky me! I tried EVERY home remedy that I could think of... literally!!! I was SO not going back to the doctor... but after having muffled/little hearing and pain for a week and a half... I think my co workers grew tired of hearing me complain about my ear and they also grew tired of me asking for other home remedies that I didn't try. Sooooooo since ALL of them told me to go to the doctor... I finally did. Final verdict? Acute otitis media=ear infection. Got my antibiotics and was on my way. Front staff is exceptional. They get VERY busy at the Mililani location and the ladies at the front always keep their cool and remain professional, friendly, and NOT irritated. The doctor I saw today was Bryan Yamashiro. I absolutely LOVED HIM!! He was VERY friendly, professional, thorough, and a pleasure! He didn't rush the visit and even commented on my previous visits and asked about current symptoms etc etc. He was surprised that I was STILL coughing up mucous (albeit finally clear) and asked how previous medications had helped me. I really liked how detailed he was... but he was efficiently detailed, now "slow". He got patients in and out rather quickly! Soooooo I'm still finishing up my antibiotics and can finally hear in my left ear (YAY!)... and hope to stay away from the doctors office for a few years! Literally lol! (well, for "sickness" that is) I'd still recommend Access Medical Clinics if you're in need of urgent care (again they accept a variety of insurances and the fee if you're not covered by insurance is reasonable at $68)... and if you come across Dr. Yamashiro OR Dr. Kubo - you're in good hands! Yelp 365 Challenge #120/365 I am sick as I write. I sound like a walrus barking hoarsely as I write too. This simply means I have the double case of the cooties that is very miserable especially when I cannot exercise but only wheeze and bark. Anyhow, I have no idea how I got these cooties but that something felt out of sorts last week. I talked about it with my co-workers that I felt like I was coming down with something but no sniffles, nada. Then, comes Friday morning...sore throat. Saturday, I went hiking up to Makapuu Lighthouse and thought the beach / hike would make it better. Waimanalo Beach Park worsened it because it was windy and everything started plugging up to where I probably looked moronic breathing with my mouth open. Sunday...I felt I was going to die and stressed that I needed to go to work the next day because my boss was returning from leave. So, I opened up my trusty iPhone and looked up Access Medical hoping the Ewa Town Center would be open on Sundays (they weren't). BUT, the Mililani Center was open on Sundays! I dragged myself out of bed and drove there because my family was at church. I walked in and thank goodness, my informaiton from the Ewa Town Center location was in their system. There was only one person ahead of me. The Physician Assistant called me in afterwards, took my vitals and presecribed me antibiotics, cough medicine and ibuprofen :) He also called it in to the Ewa Town CVS Pharmacy in Longs. Note: This is not my primary care physician. This is an Urgent Care Clinic recommended by my physician because his office is not open on the weekends and there are times where his schedule may not be able to accomodate me on a same day visit for colds / sickness, which is where Access Medical Clinic comes in. I'm guessing the waiting time depends on the people ahead of you because it is a walk-in clinic (first come, first serve) for all non-trauma related issues. If you do have trauma issues---I am pretty sure you will be heading to the ER anyways. Overall, my experience with the Access Medical Clinic Mililani location was excellent. The receptionist was very pleasant and patient. She explained thoroughly without being long-winded the process to myself as well as other patients regarding payment and insurance billing (thank goodness I have dual coverage, so there was nothing out of pocket on my part). Recommendation: Very recommended especially if you live around the Mililani area and need to see an urgent care provider on the weekend. The plus of having this clinic in Longs is the fact that CVS pharmacy is right next door to where you can wait to pick your Rx or have the provider call in your Rx to the pharmacy of your choice. There is an Access Medical Clinics located in Ewa but they are not open on Sunday so I drove to the Mililani location. I'm not one to go to the doctor for every minor thing. But I wanted to something to make me feel better in order to allow me to continue work. Especially since my wife kept on nagging me. "What's the sense of paying for health insurance if you don't use it?" she kept saying. I like the fact that you can walk in. That this clinic is open on weekends, open at night, holidays and right next to the pharmacy. They accept all sorts of insurance. So If I was just rating on this alone it would be a 3 star review. However, the doctor that prescribed me was not professional. He didn't explain what was wrong with me. Why he was prescribing the medicine. How it would help me. What was causing my jaw to hurt. He shoved the tool in my ear. I asked nicely if he could be a bit more gentle on the other side and it was met with sarcasm. He replied, "How else do you think I can see what's wrong with your ear?" Our daughter (age 5) needed a TB and a physical for school (K) and Straub Mililani wasn't taking new patients so we came here. SO happy we did. My husband filled out some initial paperwork, we were able to be seen right afterwards. We saw Dr. Thompson, he was friendly, professional and over-all...fantastic! TB test happened quickly, she did wonderfully. The physical exam really distracted her from the TB and seemed fun for her. She even asked Dr. Thompson if she could listen to her heart beat through his stethoscope which he gladly and happily complied with her request :) That was the icing on the cake for us. She left with a sticker and a smile. Despite my grumpy attitude yesterday (sorry staff!!) I left pretty happy too, and it wasn't even my checkup/tb test! I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone strapped for cash or time. Currently waiting for health insurance to go through so we had to pay out of pocket. TB test was $32 and some change. I agreed to be seen by the student nurse. They're normally on point. I truly felt like I had the flu. Dr. Natalie said I had Flu Like Symptoms. I learned during our small talk that Access Medical has operated inside of Long's in Mililani over 10 years. Same staff. They accept all insurance. You can walk in- no appointment needed. I got my prescriptions filled in the same building-Long's, of course. That meant a lot to me. I was in and out under an hour. My husband had a cluster of welts on his lower back. It wasn't itchy or sore, but he has had shingles in the past and he was going on a trip in 2 days, so wanted to get it checked. Looked up the nearest urgent care facility near our house and found the one at the Longs Mililani Town Center. Their hours indicated they were open until 8 pm. It was 7:40 pm when we got there. The receptionist was friendly, but said that the doctors were gone for the day. Then she proceeded to tell us that the last appointment for the day was at 7:45 pm. Well, it was still only 7:42 by now. Why were the doctors gone for the day? If the last appointment taken is at 7:45 pm, shouldn't the doctors be there to at least 7:45 pm? I understand it's only minutes, but if you say you take patients until a certain time and the clinic is supposed to be open until 8 pm, the doctors should still be there. Very disappointed of the professionalism of the doctors. read more

Love this Access Clinic. When someone in our family gets sick and we can't get a convenient appointment at our regular doctor, we love the Access Clinic. We simply walk in and get seen by a doctor rather quickly. My husband and even our 3 year old daughter have gone to Access Clinic. Dr. Thompson is really thorough and knowledgable. He's the doctor we've seen the most. We really like him. We've worked with another doctor, too. He's good, too, and friendly. This clinic is pretty convenient being in Longs. After the doctor prescribed our medication, we were able to pick it up just a few steps over at the Longs Pharmacy. Can't beat that. If it does get busy, there are only a few chairs to sit and wait. This was my first time using an Access Medical Clinic. I came the day after Labor Day so I made sure I arrived 15 minutes prior to their opening time of 10am and was second in line. By the time they opened there was a long line of people waiting to be seen. After filling out the required paperwork I sat and waited my turn. I probably waited less than 15 minutes. I first met with the medical assistant in one of the treatment rooms. She was very thorough and took a good history of my present condition. I then went to another treatment room to be seen by Dr. Thompson who also did a thorough review of my symtoms. Since I already had an appointment with my regular he gave some treatment options to hold me over. Overall, the service was good...quick and easy. They were well organized. read more

This is a small clinic located inside of Longs in the Mililani Town Center. I wouldn't have even guessed that it was there. The husband came here after he was unable to get an appointment with his regular doctor for a toe injury. It's great because they take walk-ins & everyone knows how hard it can be to get an appointment sometimes. The wait was a bit long, but the receptionist offered to call us on our cell phone when it was our turn. That was cool because we could walk around the shopping center while we were waiting. The doctor on duty was very friendly & professional. Due to the limitations of being a small clinic, he referred the husband to a specialist & even called to make an appointment for us. I will definitely come back now that I know they accept walk-ins. This place could really turn out to be a life saver if I'm sick & can't get an appointment with my regular doctor. read more

So, this is an update to my previous rating. I had an appointment at 6pm, and arrived ten minutes before. (I definitely recommend calling in way before hand and making an appointment. Walk-ins are accepted, but you usually will not end up getting an appt because it's so busy). Even though I was early, they set me up and took my information down. At 6pm, I met right on time with Dr. Thompson. He was great! Took the time to explain thoroughly what was wrong with me and even drew me a diagram of the human body to explain what was happening. This place is so great!! I should have come here right away. I initially went to an urgent care center to get a work note when I first got sick. It was for 2 days but I still didn't feel well and they wouldn't extend it without another visit. So I came here because it was so close and convenient, right inside Long's at the Mililani Town Center. They were soooo nice. Donna at the front checked me in and the MA (I can't remember her name, so sorry) were so sweet and helpful. Dr. Teruya was so great too. He explained things and options that were really helpful too. I also initially said no to the cough medicine he said he could prescribe but then I called later because I changed my mind and he sent it right away. Donna helped me with that message too. And Dr. Teruya wrote my work note! I loved it here! It is a small space but very clean and nice. I'm assuming it can be a long wait if there are a lot of people. But it was less than an hour for me which is pretty standard I think. I hope I don't get sick again soon but if I do, I will def come here again if my regular doctor can't see me :) read more

I was hesitant to come here after seeing some negative reviews, but I can't give them anything less than 5 stars. I checked in and the receptionist (I think her name was Rachelle?) had me fill out a few papers and told me it would be about an hour wait. She said she would call me when the patient before me was being seen. I left Long's to go and get lunch. As promised, she called and I came to the office. I waited maybe 5-10 minutes and was promptly seen by Dr. Yamashiro (I think that's his name!). He greeted me and apologized for the wait. This place is located in the back of Longs, right next to the pharmacy, in Mililani. It's got tons of parking and when you're done, the pharmacy is a thirty second walk. Gotta love that!! It's very teeny tiny in here so don't plan on bringing your family to the waiting room. I saw a doctor, not a nurse practitioner, and appreciated that a lot. The check in process was quick and painless and triage was a breeze. The triage info went straight to the doctor so when I walked in he was already up to date with my symptoms. This was a little farther than the Pearl City Urgent Care I usually go to, but I liked this location a lot. Will go back! read more

Will never go back there again if nurse Natalie is there. 2nd visit bc Dr office already closed and the receptionist mislead us into thinking they could test for the flu. After arrival, found out this clinic doesn't have the test for the flu but will prescribe Rx for the flu if she feels your symptoms warrant it. Does that make sense? NO TEST, just her opinion. She rolled her eyes when the symptoms were mentioned and didn't believe that the fever was higher before taking the Tylenol. strongly advise you against using a Longs Clinic. I went to longs drugs to buy something and I noticed a small of clinic next to the pharmacy. Today, I went to see a doctor here and I liked the Tx I had. The key is be proactive. I told him that I am unemployed a nurse and I am pregnant with no insurance. I informed him my finding during pregnancy and after he did an examination, he concluded that I should go to ER. I was asking my self did he over Dx me or am I wrong not to go to ER. When I arrived at home, I was thinking I should go just in case. After all, he is probably right. This place is ok. the receptionist seems friendly to me. The only concerned I have at this place is "No sanitizer" I was looking around to sanitize my hand and non I see them.
