I have had only excellent doctors here. my pcp is Dr. Miscovich is amazing. His PAs and other Doctors all take on his wonderful and caring personality. I have gotten calls from the doctors on my phone directly and they honesly care a lot about their patients. After having gone from doctor to doctor I finally have a good place to go. They also seem to be more knowledgeable then other doctors I have been to. I think part of the reason there are some bad reviews here is because their phone system used to be horrible. They have fixed that. In the past you could not get a person and I would drive there just to schedule an appointment. I had even asked a doctor there about it and he told me that it was in process of being resolved and that they were sorry for the inconvenience and were aware it was a problem. They have 100% resolved this issue with their phone system, answer promptly and run a very smooth and pleasant to deal with operation. The doctors, nurses, PAs and staff still are and always have been great. read more

Had a very tough time to get an appointment with this office. Without going into a full blown essay, which I could, let's just say it was nightmarish trying to get into both the Kaneohe and Downtown office. My wife had excruciating shoulder pain and needed to see a doctor so I called the town office and the "system was down." The appointment person promised to call back in ten minutes. She knew my situation. I told her I would call the Kaneohe office though I live in town. The appointment person there, for some reason, said "since you are changing your primary care physician you will have a lot of paperwork. Uh?? We just wanted an appointment with Dr. Miskovitz since I had him when the business was called Portner Orthopedics and really liked him. The appointment person there told me the doctor was booked for the day, (next day was July 4), and booked on July 5. She offered no other advice or help such as trying to squeeze us in or taking my number in case of a cancellation. Anyway, it would be much more convenient for us to stay in town. So I call back to the town office and told the appointment person there that I could not get into the other office so please try and get my wife in on that day or at least Friday. We simply did not want to go to Queen's ER. This is all going on before 9AM. I had to run some errands and by noon had never heard back from the town appointment person even though she had promised a call back. I tried getting back to her numerous times, all I could get were voicemail prompts and when I finally got through to a human who said she could help me with an appointment, the call dropped. Once again, I called back and got nothing but prompts. At this point, by talking to a friend I discovered that there is a walk in orthopedic urgent care on the corner of Keeaumoku Street and Beretania. Also, I had also obtained from my friend the name of an orthopedic doctor who works in that same building and with one call I had an appointment for my wife. Out of courtesy I called back to Premier Medical and finally got through to the appointment person and I let her know I had secured another appointment. The reason I wanted my wife to see Dr.Lin at Premier Medical is because they have a non surgical approach, I knew Dr. Portner before he retired and Premier Medical is on the radio on Saturdays and I just really like the non surgical approach. The appointment lady did have a time for me to see Dr.Lin but she was, unfortunately, too late. It's tough sometimes seeing a doctor here because there is a big shortage of physicians but when someone promises to give you a call back they need to follow through. I certainly would never rule out Premier Medical because of this one incident but they need to fix their appointment system. This is the former Portner Orthopedic Rehabilitation center. Same place, location but different name and new physicians. Location is in the middle of busy downtown Honolulu but they do provide validated parking and it is very convenient off the main bus lines. Doctor V. Leon is one of several physicians in this office and I would highly recommend him. They also have full services of physical and massage therapy in this same office. read more

Terrible staff answering calls with attitude when asking simple questions for my child. This is not the first time the staff at Miscovich's office has a bad attitude. However my entire family loves Dr. Miscovich, Shay, & Liz who's provided care for us throughout our years. I have been a loyal patient with Dr. Miscovich since he took over my previous provider's practice, Dr. Alan Luning. It's extremely frustrating to deal with front staff that have attitudes & no patience. They need better front end guys like Chris to work there. read more

This review is for my experience with the only physician I saw there - Dr. Dwight Lin. I saw Dr. Lin for almost a year because I was having daily, progressive neck and shoulder pain. Instead of helping me, he did almost nothing, and each appointment I felt like I had to beg him to take me seriously. Because I wasn't getting the help I needed from Dr. Lin, I tried to manage my pain with acupuncture visits, and after a few months, it was the acupuncturist who finally told me she felt that I needed more serious medical treatment, and a potential MRI to see if there was a more serious issue. The acupuncturist suggested the MRI - not Dr. Lin - my actual pain physician! I returned to Dr. Lin and had to BEG for an MRI - which he still denied me!! Instead, forcing me to go to see someone who made me do stretches!! I NEVER got the MRI from Dr. Lin and I finally just gave up and moved out of state. Once I established medical care in California, on the FIRST VISIT TO A PMR PHYSICIAN, THEY REFERRED ME TO GET AN MRI. And wouldn't you know it - the MRI showed I had PROGRESSIVE ARTHRITIS in my neck and shoulder. I had begged Dr. Lin for YEARS to take my pain seriously and give me an MRI referral to arrive at an actual diagnosis - and was always denied appropriate medical care - and in the mean time, my arthritis worsened and went undiagnosed and untreated. If you want to go see a doctor who will think you are faking your pain (especially if you're a woman), then Dr. Lin is the guy for you. He is a hack who will deny you care and be grossly negligent. Dr. Lin - why did you feel you had to gatekeep an MRI referral? Does making an MRI referral cost you too much time or money or something? He not only denied me an MRI referral repeatedly, when I asked him what exactly my diagnosis was - he also refused to give me one! What kind of doctor are you who denies giving diagnoses and treatment? Dereliction of ethics and duty, and you're lucky I haven't filed a complaint against your license. read more

Went in for a Covid 19 test today, filled with apprehension and dread...what started out as a seemingly daunting task, soon turned into what would be a comfortable and pleasant experience. At Premier Medical Group in Kaneohe, I was greeted by "Ona". Her quick smile and reassuring demeanor was comforting and she quickly filled me in on the process. I was whisked away into an exam room and within 2-3 minutes the tech came in to administer the test, which as it turns out was not as unpleasant as I had imagined)! Within a few minutes of that, the Doc came in, explained when I could expect the results and made recommendations as to my self-care treatment in the meantime! I would recommend this facility and its great team to anyone looking for excellence in a health care provider! read more
