Daniela is an incredibly thoughtful and talented professional who always takes the time to understand each piece and discuss the best framing strategy. We've brought in many collectibles and signed memorabilia over the years, and every single item has come out beautifully displayed. I couldn't recommend Right Angle enough--they're simply the best in Hoboken!

I had two cute little paintings I did on the cardboard inserts of something or other and decided I…read morewas kind of proud of them and wanted them framed! They were squares, and normally (and admittedly) I'd just get some frames off of amazon for ~$50 but I couldn't find any that I liked in the dimensions that I needed. So I sucked it up and took them to Right Angle. I worked with the owner who was SO helpful and took all of the time in the world to make sure I was getting frames that both compliment each painting as well as each other, in case I wanted to hang them together one day. We ended up with two real cute end products! They make me even more proud of my paintings. While the price is up there, that is just all custom framing and I am learning that. Both pieces, each 11"x11", came out to around $300. Again, these were painted on literal cardboard garbage, so that was hard to justify. But honestly, in these beautiful new frames with their double layers of matting, you can't tell. They look expensive and I love seeing them on my walls. Both pieces took about a month, but I assured her I was in no rush to get them back by any deadline. With the amount of attention to detail that goes into each piece and the quality of customer care, you can't go wrong bringing your pieces here. No matter what they are, they'll be treated like priceless works of art worthy of beautiful frames! Thank you so much Right Angle!

Although I initially enjoyed meeting the owner Anatoly I was very very disapppointed with my…read moreexperience with Ark Restoration. Not by their work, since I didn't actually have any work done, but with simple communication and professionalism. I stopped by in person in the summer of 2013 to ask if a small section of porcelain from a brass bed frame could be repaired. Anatoly said it would be difficult... especially since I did want to spend a lot.. but he said he would look into it and get back to me. I never heard from Anatoly once. I called him about 4 times over 7 months and he said there was no update. Whne I called to see if there was any update good or bad he said 'Try me again in a month or so'. That was it. Now some 7 months later without a single call to say 'Hey I can't help you' or a 'No luck but I'm still trying' I called him and got the usual 'I don't have anything for you' I told him how disappointed that I never recieved a single call or update even if it was to say he couldn't help. And I told him to keep the piece. I don't know if his lack of professionalism or common decency as a business owner was due to my project not being a lucrative piece for him. Or perhaps his workload being such that he didn't have a spare minute or two to update a customer... all I can say is, despite being my being very friendly and checking in with him, I felt ignored and unimportant.

Terrific, exceptional, museum-quality work and restoration. The owners, Anatoly and Regina, are…read moreexperts in their craft. Not only are they a pleasure to work with (every time I meet with them they treat me like family), but they are extremely talented and do flawless work. I had bought antique soap dishes and porcelain that my cleaning lady broke, and not only did they reassure me they could restore my (very sentimental) belongings, but they actually delivered. Other reviewers note that there are no "rush jobs," and I would agree. They do take their time, but when it comes to fragile materials, you don't want your job to be rushed. Very impressed with them and hoping they can continue their business for as long as they have been in it - a very long time!

BEWARE. I contacted this company for a new slipcover for my 90" sofa (with one long bench cushion)…read moreand provided the dimensions and details upfront. They gave me a written estimate of $225-$475. Based on that estimate, I paid $50 for an in-home consultation. The person they sent was a super nice, dog loving guy, but I'm honestly not sure why he came as he didn't even take measurements and we spent the entire time chatting about dogs. Their final quote? $2,600 PLUS fabric: $2,200 for the slipcover and $400 for pickup/delivery. No other professional I contacted said the sofa needed to leave my home. It's a slipcover. While he was here, I also asked for an estimate to replace a tiny 8.5" x 1.2" strip of veneer missing from one small leg of a standard teak console. Again, no measurements. Their quote was $560-$640 PLUS $450 pickup/delivery - potentially $1,090 for one tiny strip of veneer. The same thing happened to the other side of this console a couple of years ago, and I had it professionally repaired for $150. The repair person simply brought the repaired panel back. There was no need to haul away the entire console. For the sofa, I've received quotes of approximately $675 and $875 plus fabric elsewhere. Even Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, a luxury furniture company, quoted approximately $1,440 INCLUDING Sunbrella fabric. And here's the best part: this company actually told me to ask ChatGPT and I'd see that their pricing was fair. So I did. I gave ChatGPT the sofa measurements and the specific sofa, which it found online. Its assessment? Their price was extraordinarily high for a replacement slipcover. So, thanks for the suggestion! If your prices are that high, be transparent about them upfront. Don't give potential customers a $225-$475 range and then charge them $50 to discover the real number. Save your $50 and get estimates elsewhere. I even posted pictures of the furniture so you could see for yourself.
