I had two cute little paintings I did on the cardboard inserts of something or other and decided I was kind of proud of them and wanted them framed! They were squares, and normally (and admittedly) I'd just get some frames off of amazon for ~$50 but I couldn't find any that I liked in the dimensions that I needed. So I sucked it up and took them to Right Angle. I worked with the owner who was SO helpful and took all of the time in the world to make sure I was getting frames that both compliment each painting as well as each other, in case I wanted to hang them together one day. We ended up with two real cute end products! They make me even more proud of my paintings. While the price is up there, that is just all custom framing and I am learning that. Both pieces, each 11"x11", came out to around $300. Again, these were painted on literal cardboard garbage, so that was hard to justify. But honestly, in these beautiful new frames with their double layers of matting, you can't tell. They look expensive and I love seeing them on my walls. Both pieces took about a month, but I assured her I was in no rush to get them back by any deadline. With the amount of attention to detail that goes into each piece and the quality of customer care, you can't go wrong bringing your pieces here. We went through several options - frames, matting, glass, etc. He gave cheaper and more expensive options, etc. so I never felt that he was up-selling. Just under 2 weeks later my art was ready for pick-up, and I was quite happy with the results. It is now hanging in my living room as a great centerpiece. Now I didn't opt for the cheapest mat/frame, so this was a legitimate expense. You could probably save some money by going elsewhere. I have nothing but good things to say about Right Angle! I met with Daniela to have 2 prints custom framed and she took so much time to make sure I was happy with both. She showed me so many options and clearly has a great eye for what she does. We went through photos of both locations where the prints would be hung and she was incredibly patient and matched the wood tones perfectly. Daniela took 2 inexpensive prints (mostly sentimental value) and made them look like museum quality. Amazing frame shop run by professional photographer hubby and artist wife. Helped me turn my apartment into a home. Got my first art piece professionally framed by them and I am so glad that I did it. Until recently I did not understand the need to spend extra money getting pictures framed professionally. Now I do. I wanted to spruce up my plain shabby hallway. I had a piece I loved but had no idea how to make it look nice. I thought I was going to be stuck going to a big box store with a novice trying to upsell me or (even worse) be indifferent when I wanted to do something special. I brought in a large painting that my mother had in our home since many moons ago. After she passed away, the painting was in storage for 8 years. My family sent me the piece less than a month ago and while still beautiful in my eyes, the painting needed desperate repair! It had a bad case of rotting wood, silverfish in the inner framework and its color was looking worn. Poor painting was in a state of S.O.S. This painting means a lot to me and I couldn't have it in the condition it had arrived in, and so I searched for a place to reframe and cleanup the painting. I found The Right Angle and gave them a call. Daniela (one of the owners) had answered and she was so enjoyable and helpful to talk to on the phone I decided this was the place to go. Pablo (other owner and husband) helped me pick out the right frame (pointed out the rotten wood pieces in places I couldn't see), explained carefully what options I had to tidy up this piece and what the company does when it reframes an art piece and had a great selection of frames from which to choose from. Daniela suggested a filler frame that now looks gorgeous on the painting and let me just say, that trip there was so pleasant, I left feeling my piece would come out beautiful. IT DID.
