Simply put the owner is very full of himself, and takes business questions personally. Rather than accept his own coupon, he would rather not do business with you at all and tell you to your face to never come back. i guess he must be busy to turn away customers like that. It was not a small order, being well over $1000 in flowers and trees. The hired help is variable in knowledge and ability. They list their hours as being open until 6:00, but they shut down the cash register at 5:30 and basically chase you out after that. Not welcoming or friendly at all. If you have to have plants, and are willing to put up with people who basically don't care about you as a customer and are more interested in doing things their way, with their pride, and with their (self) hurt feelings than they are with providing you with good customer service, then I guess you could go there. I won't. Not after the way I was treated. I wouldn't want anyone I know or like to go there either. Sometimes it is not about the price, it is the principle. They seem to want to stand on their principle that it is OK to treat their customer with less respect than the dirt they sell, then chase you and your money away when you challenge them on their actions. So I will stand on my principle: I deserve respect as a customer just as they do as a vendor. If they do not want to be honest and respectful, they do not deserve my business, and I would suggest they do not deserve yours.

I used them for a firearm FFL transfer. They received my shotgun and called me. My husband & I drove to Bandera & I filled out my 4473 form for the ATF. Doug called the ATF and made a spelling error. He also told the agent he left my Texas drivers license in the copier as he had them hold and asked me for it for the first time. The ATF placed a wait on approval. When we both told him about his error & that may be why he became angry & said he did not have to deal with this. He had been complaining about having to work till 9:30 PM every day helping his daughter finish her house but that should not affect my transfer. He angrily told us to go home and he would call when it was approved. I have no criminal record and had just did a firearm FFL transfer one month ago thru Bandera Gun Club with excellent service. When Doug at Hevenor called and told me the that the ATF approved it but he was sending it back to the seller and not transferring it to me denying my 2nd amendment rights. He called me a liar saying I was buying it for my son. I have no son. He said my husband was my son even though we are less than two years apart. I took pictures of my dead chickens since he needed it for some personal reason not related to law. As a former Marine you would think Doug would be more of an American. We made a second trip because the owner Russel Hevenor would not come to the phone. Workers said he was not there. I walked by his second office door and there he was sitting at his desk. He said he just got back but we had been standing in full view of both of his doors for quite some time. He said Doug was at lunch and he needed to talk to him first before releasing the shot gun. We waited over an hour for Doug to return from lunch. I called the police to make a report and Hevenor said Doug was the manager and may take an extended lunch or not even come back. The owner assured me he would call me as soon as he spoke to Doug. We walked out. I showed Doug's picture to my grandson that had stayed in the truck and sent him in. Doug magically was behind the counter. We drove back home and waited for the phone call that was promised. We called the seller Cheaper than Dirt and was told they called them for return instructions right away and that I failed ATF approval.They told the seller they could not transfer it. No return call was made. IMO their word is useless than tits on a boar hog. Maybe Russel Hevenor will be along for rebuttal as he must have a stop watch calling out another customer complaining about how many minutes he had to wait to be loaded. Instead of supposed timing on the loading docks maybe he should watch his employees better. Besides not being able to protect my chickens tonight there is a $50+ fee I will have to pay for the return plus shipping the firearm back to an honest FFL dealer. PS they leave dead rotten smelling deer in their parking lot, how attractive. The end. read more

I'll respond to David H., who is David Heim. I own the store and will absolutely defend every action of my employees that day and also condemn Heim's immature actions. What he failed to mention was that, after purchasing, 8 minutes later, he was in line to be loaded. ALL employees were with customers, including a truck driver. Heim went ballistic and started yelling, cussing, flashing obscene hand gestures. Just a petulant, immature reaction. A manager was called and Heim continued his antics. To calm the situation, a yard man left a customer just to load Heim and get him out of the store. I will not allow my employees to be subjected to customers like him. Absolutely not. I don't care how much money one spends, that does not justify the foul language to every yard man, or obscene gestures. We were taking care of customers. Heim was next, after waiting 8 minutes. Customer service does not exist. Paid for my lumber order, was the first in line to pick up, had to honk my horn to get service after waiting 13 minutes. Asked why service was so slow and the response was "we are off loading a delivery and "there is a long line". So, off loading a truck comes before paying customers. The long line was because they get you to pay and then they make you wait to actually get your merchandise. Business flow for customers of from the last century. Time to get with modern times. You want my money, I expect to get good customer service. read more
