Food overall did not live up to expectations based on the ratings and pictures posted. My chili soup starter was way too salty, but I tried my wife's French onion and it tasted fine. I had walter's giant stuffed chicken breast and my wife had the filet mignon beef stroganoff. We normally share our dishes so I was able to try both. The chicken was average with breading that was a little too thick and not crispy. The sauce made the plate a little on the salty side. The sautéed vegetables on the other hand, were well cooked, just right (seasoning wise) and very good. Wife's stroganoff was average, but kitchen added huge spoonfuls of sour cream on top, which looked odd and (I learned later) should have been part of the ingredients list and not as a topping. At this point, I have to point out the odd selection of plates and bowls which look perfect for serving Chinese food (I.e. they were the same as what you'd see at Chinese restaurants and Asian homes). Top this off with pretty high prices and it doesn't give me any incentives to re-visit.

It was perfect--light, smoky, and genuinely healthy without being boring. We loved the atmosphere so much that after a crazy busy workday the very next day, we headed straight back. The smoked wings are top-tier and the queso is exactly what you want at the end of a long day. What really made our visit stand out was a delightful conversation with one of the co-owners, Michael. He told us all about how they source their unique draft beers from all over--including an incredible one from Iowa that Brian absolutely loved. Chef Ashonti communicated frequently and thoroughly throughout and delivered the meals as agreed. He was delighted, surprised and grateful.
