I have received excellent service at every visit. We are lucky to have Heywood Urgent Care.

Go anywhere else, literally anywhere. I saw the one star and figured 'my problem isn't so bad, I'm sure it'll be fine'. it was not fine. So rude. Total lack of compassion and empathy. Went in yesterday for something in my eye. I had no wait really at all.The NP was very nice and extremely helpful and cleared it up with a thorough cleansing and checked for scratches. She even cleaned out some wax that I had in my ear and bothering me. I had a good experience here and have been here before. read more

Brought my mom in for medical help on a Sunday. They did two different labs that would be back they said within two days and would call. Two days later I called literally 30 times with no one answering the phone. I had to drive 30 min. to find out what was wrong with her. When I got there at 6:00 p.m. there was no one at the front desk. After waiting for approx. 5 min I had to open the window and say hello loudly two times. Finally someone came to help. So now my mom is having to wait until the next day to get any sort of help with medication due to it being so late in the day. Dirty, messy and rude service. No nice bedside manner on welcoming experience. I will NEVER be back to that *** backwards place again!!! Where is management or is this management! Horrible refection on Heywood Hospital. read more

OMG! I went to HEYWOOD Urgent Care on the weekend as my PCP was not available. It was the closest facility open on the weekend that I could find-it's true, the only reason I picked the place and I learned my lesson. I was overcharged-copay, referred to a provided I did not need, and incorrectly diagnosed and prescribed unnecessary medication twice. I have requested a refund (of the copay), with the help of my insurance provider. Needless to say, I needed to seek further medical intervention to be correctly diagnosed and treated. The condition cleared quickly. With the high cost of healthcare, it is unfortunate that my insurance provider and myself had to pay costs (copays, medication, office visit and other tests) related to services that did not treat a common illness. Buyer Beware! Go somewhere else. read more

I went twice to Urgent Care in Gardner for a sinus infection. I waited in my car for over an hour when I finally got seen the first time the nurse was in and out and wouldn't even come near me nor actually give me an exam. I told her I felt like I was getting a sinus infection. Of course she went straight to Covid I told her I was already covid tested and was negative (not everything is Covid) I also said I was vaccinated... She gave me a antibiotic and sent me on my way. 2 weeks later I was in there again because my symptoms were worst. I waited over an hour again in my car and then waited another 30 minutes in the room. As soon as the nurse came in she doesn't even look at me and yells at me about my mask (I just got done sneezing and I don't sneeze inside my mask that's gross). She preached covid at me and I told her I don't have covid I work for the state and get tested weekly and literally had a negative test within 24 hours. I got asked why I am not checking in with my PCP well its the weekend and they are closed. She was super rude to me, and basically told me she didn't think I was sick and just had allergies.... umm I have seasonal allergies and they never made me this miserable or sick. She gave me another antibiotic that does NOT help with sinus infections and hasn't been used in years and usually is used for STDs... 2 days later I was in the ER due to an allergic reaction. I was in and out in 20 minutes and told I have allergies and they gave me a dose of prednisone and told me to go home an that I could continue with the antibiotic that a week later I am still having issues from being allergic to. I clearly stopped the antibiotic that night. I understand that Covid has everyone crazy but to blatantly just not care anymore for patients is completely uncalled for. I haven't been right since November 21st and no one will listen and 2 health care facilities blew me off because I didn't fit their covid mold. Its flu season, cold season and all in between we shouldn't have to be disregarded. read more

Biggest Waste of Time!!! PCP wanted me to wait over a month to be seen so I figured I'd try this place- Big Mistake! Went to be seen 1st time (Saturday); was refused treatment because woman at the desk could not figure out Masshealth. I had to do her job for her on the following Monday/ Tuesday. Went back to try and be seen again (Thursday); desk worker still could not figure out how to get me registered- so I, again, did her job in the waiting room and made it so I could be seen. Finally see a provider- everything seemed to be finally working out. I go to CVS to pick up what was prescribed- the genius DR prescribed something that I'm highly allergic to! So now I've been dealing with symptoms on/ off for about a week, and the DR figures killing me would be the best option? Real great. Had to wait till next business day to call and try to straighten out medication issue- No One Knew How To Help! I got 3 calls back over the next 24 hours with staff asking me stupid questions that had NOTHING to do with my issue! Just give me medicine that won't kill me! Why is this so difficult?! Finally someone calls to try and help and in the end their response was, "Follow Up with your PCP" Are You Kidding Me?! I don't have months to wait to be seen by a PCP, hence why I'm trying to be seen immediately at an Urgent Care Center! What a useless place, with uneducated staff, 0 care for people and a huge waste of time! I bet they made some nice $ from my insurance though, after I helped them figure out how to run it. read more

Visited this clinic 1 week ago after fighting symptoms for 10 days. The NP who "treated" me was rude. No bedside manner. Told me I had the flu and infected everyone I work with. Explained to her that I do not have the flu, but proceeded to tell me I am wrong. Flu test came back NEGATIVE. She called in something to help with the cough, nothing for "the flu" and of course she called it into the wrong pharmacy. When I called to check the response was "well that pharmacy isn't too far out of your way is it"? She didn't call it into the pharmacy that I requested and that is in my chart. Called back 5 days later because of no relief and the response was "just go to the ER if you are so bad". I am in healthcare and am appalled at how rudely and unprofessional this experience has been. Urgent care is in place to lessen the load in the ER departments and are supposed to be staffed with well trained professionals, who are supposed to treat. Still not over whatever I have and symptoms are returning. Now I have to find an urgent care that actually cares. Oh and by the way ... no one I come in contact with at work has come down with anything. read more
