I had a very disappointing experience with my acrylic nail removal at this salon. The removal process was extremely painful, and my natural nails were left severely damaged, very thin, and highly sensitive. It felt like the acrylic was aggressively pulled and over-filed instead of being properly soaked off. My nails were burning for hours afterward and remain painful. What concerns me most is that my nails were painted immediately after, without addressing the damage or providing any aftercare guidance. A safe removal should never leave a client in this level of pain. Tonight I am experiencing significant discomfort because of this, and I sincerely hope my nails heal on their own and that I will not need medical attention. I hope the salon reviews its removal procedures so future clients do not go through the same experience. Unfortunately, I would not return for this service. read more

Welcoming salon with standard pricing. Street parking.. I saw a few lots but I'm not sure if they're private. My friend and I went in for pedicures, and I also received a basic plain manicure at the same time. The end result of both were really good. My fingers looked nice and healthy. However, the person doing my feet used an exfoliating gel and just rubbed my feet, but never actually scrubbed them or massaged them like my friend received. We ordered the same kind of pedicures. I assumed it was because I got gel polish and they would do it after. The person also took TOO long to complete my pedicure and she actually did apologize for taking so long. I had to go so I didn't inquire about my feet not being scrubbed, but the end result was beautiful and I still tipped. Just wish I got a real pedicure opposed to just polish (French tip.) The person doing my feet also nicked my cuticles sooo many times it was painful! I spoke up many times and she apologized each time but it kept happening. Luckily no blood or cuts happened. Absolutely wonderful experiences!!. I've been here twice now. I got the deluxe pedi and gel mani last time. I got the deluxe pedi and deluxe mani with nail extensions this time. Absolutely pristine work. So attentive to detail and truly caring of their work. Myne(?) -not sure if that's how she spells her name but Myne and Helen were the ones who worked with me this time. Very nice and VERY good at what they do! I didn't have any nail art or anything super fancy but for basic nail extensions and their best mani/pedi i am VERY impressed! Very calm and inviting salon. Lots of greenery which is very nice and relaxing giving a spa vibe. Myne gives great massages included in the deluxe packages too! They focus on quality and not quantity -they don't push you out the door for the next customer...like other places I've been, they take their time as needed for each and every customer. Amazing service and amazing staff. The owner is wonderful. I have been going here for years and have always had excellent service.

I used to really like this place. The nail techs I grew accustomed to seem to no longer be there. The last few times it felt unapologetically rushed and the most recent experience, the nail tech was shaking my hand to relax so that she could move on to the next nail faster. The massage was 2 min max. It makes me a bit uncomfortable that the techs seem to grab tools from each others carts without consistent sanitation practices in between. No longer seems worth it. I've been coming here for two months now and it's my go to salon! The nail techs here take really good care of you. I usually come here for the gel manicures, but today I added a pedicure with my mani for the first time at this salon, and LOVED it. They put so much effort into their nails. I got a bad pedicure from Leann's down the street, and Hi Beauty salon fixed it and made my pedi look amazing. Their gel lasts a while too. ALL the ladies here do an amazing job. I came back to the salon last week for the first time in a long time. I had a death in the family and I needed to look put together for the funeral. I've gotten to know all of the ladies here pretty well but when I told them that I had a death in the family, they embraced me so sweetly. I got a gel manicure, eyebrow wax, a regular pedicure, and a haircut. This is the first time I've been here when they weren't busy and I felt like I was being treated like a queen. They all took so much time to meticulously perfect every detail and I felt absolutely beautiful when I left the salon. Helen did my hair and nails, and she is extremely sweet and friendly. Another woman who is older did my toenails and even though she was more quiet and shy, she was very good at what she did and made me feel so relaxed. I always cry when I get my eyebrows done because I have very sensitive facial skin, but when one of the ladies did my eyebrows, she took the time to put a cool cloth on my brows before she started. Then after she ripped the wax strips off, she gently placed her finger on my forehead to try and prevent some of the redness and irritation. After she was done waxing my eyebrows, she put a soothing lotion on my skin to help prevent the irritation from getting worse. The whole experience was amazing, all of the ladies went above and beyond to make me feel special and beautiful and I appreciate them for that. They have a lot of services that I have still yet to try, but I did see another woman getting a pedicure done with like a foot mask or something and that looked really nice. I will definitely try that next time. Overall, I recommend this place 1000%! The ladies that work here are very nice, the salon is big and offers many services, and the prices are extremely reasonable considering the quality of the work. If you need some pampering and to feel beautiful for a good price I definitely recommend this salon. read more

I come here to see Lily! I've been seeing her for years and she is so gentle and patient. None of that aggressive cuticle pushing that I've gotten from other nail techs. She's so sweet and always checks in with me about the color before going further. All the nail techs have been really sweet to me, actually... always greeting me and offering me a seat when I come in. The salon itself is spacious and clean. In my opinion, it has the best range of gel nail colors compared to other salons I've been to. It's also in a central area and is easy to find. Great service but i think low quality nail polish. I Went in for acrylic mani last December ,the mani lasted for 1 week before starting to chip off. I dont do dishes or cook I was puzzled how the polish could start to chip away anyway. The nail technician was detailed and did a wonderful job on the day off.. I gave this place another chance early 2022 for an acrylic pedicure with full scrub and mask. Same thing happened again, it has been 8 days and the polish started to crack and chip again. And unfortunately the scrub was too soft, it was more of a rub than a scrub. The technician went a lil too deep when removing cuticles. I may probably come back by bringing my own nail polish ..but who knows? read more

Hello so I hate to even have to leave this kind of review. The first time I went here was for mother's day of this year. I had a pretty good experience I'm going to post in the pictures a picture of my nails. I will say that they were a little bit expensive I paid $55 for short French tip which to me was kind of a little bit excessive and then I paid 55 for a deluxe pedicure with a native. So in total I spent $130 the first time I went. Now I appreciate it because the people were friendly it was a lot of older women which made me want to go back so I went two days before my 30th birthday to get a regular pedicure and a mediumish set.(I'll attach pictures for this too) so to start off granted I'll give it that I did get there probably 2 hours before they close so it was kind of late but it was no one else in there the lady who was doing my nails I told her that I wanted to get solar nails and because I was asking her what the difference was and why she was using regular acrylic she got an attitude and said the only difference was the tips of the nails and proceeded to try to put regular tips so I said if it's different tips then please put a different tips try telling me it was nothing different but so I asked her to put the ones she had an attitude with that. So basically she got an attitude with that I kept trying to ask her what was the difference because she pulled out regular acrylic and I know that it's something that's supposed to make it different she basically didn't really want to explain to me and got frustrated with me because I was asking questions. So another lady that was working there tried to like help whatever she was getting the lady was working on my nails is getting frustrated because I didn't know what color to do because the point of the Solar Nails is to be I guess more clear-based so I had like a darker color and I said well what do you recommend she said to do glitter so then I said okay well I'm going to do glitter and that made her upset. Another lady intervened and just said take your time pick whatever color you need to everything's okay because at this point I started crying cuz I was extremely frustrated and I explained like it's my birthday I just want to do something nice for myself and enjoy myself. There were two older ladies that were working on my toes they did a good job and I definitely appreciate them I did leave a tip I'm sure that they didn't get it that's the lady who did my nails took all of it now she did stay about 15 minutes over to finish my nails but here's where the problem is I got my nails done on a Friday bye Sunday of that weekend my actual birthday one of my nails broke the next day another nail broke and two other nails were lifting so I called her and told her she said I could come in and that she'll fix them. I just decided that I didn't even want to be bothered because I felt like it was kind of a waste of time at that point it was already three nails off and two more lifting so is basically going to be having to get a whole full set again so I decided not to go before the week was even up I had four nails off. I definitely will not be going back. I did enjoy the older ladies they were very nice but I end up spending $ 127 plus a $13 tip. The pedicure was worth it but the nails were not $70 for these nails and they came off within 2 days of them being done half of my nails came off within a week totally not worth it. And if she would have done the solar nails correctly they should have lasted longer cuz that's what the difference is supposed to be between solar and acrylic nails and I couldn't even get a week's worth of nails. read more

I always see this salon every time I go to the post office. We just moved to Alameda last year and had been looking for a place to go as far as hair cut and pedi. Today I thought about taking my mom to the salon for a treat since she's been helping me a lot with my kid so I went there to stop by and just inquire as I haven't been there and Helen the manager told me that we can just come by anytime so I still tried to make an appointment for Thursday but after almost an hour I came back with my mom and my daughter. My mom had a pedicure at first and then they started doing her hair for hair coloring and then my daughter wanted to get a haircut so she got a haircut and a manicure as well and since the staff are so nice I decided to give it a shot for myself and got a pedicure as well. Had a pedicure done here based on reviews and proximity to my house. I was so disappointed and felt ripped off b/c I paid $33 (ugly basic french). The tech was very nice, but amateur. I went in with a much prettier pedi than coming out of there. The tech didn't ask how I wanted my nails shaped or if the pink base that she had selected was ok.
