Service is good and the boba is just as good however consistently I've come here and got a tall Vietnamese coffee and they never fill it to the top. I'm paying extra money for a bigger size and I'm not talking about just a little bit not filled there's a significant amount missing. Definitely one of the better bubble tea shops in charleston. It's kind of hidden away in north charleston on rivers so people may pass it by or think the neighborhood is too iffy but the bubble tea does not disappoint. I have come to the point where I ask the servers to make a random concoction and I still end up loving it. Jenny and Xuan are the best! The banhmis are smaller in size than I'm used to from nyc but it's actually similar in size to the ones I've had in Vietnam. I enjoy them! The restaurant itself is very cute with a separate room for dining. There is also good music playing while you wait. My 10 yo niece was coming for a visit and told her mom that she wanted to try boba tea. Her mom isn't big on trying new things so this became a job for Uncle Scott. I looked up a few on Yelp because I wanted to bring her to a fun shop. After lunch one day we drove over to Hi! to give her the authentic boba tea experience. There were no other guests at the time which was perfect. I told the staff that she was excited to try boba and they gave her some samples of boba, popping pearls, and jellies... good thing because some of them she didn't like and the whole drink would have ended up in the trash. We settled on strawberry popping pearls and maple sugar milk tea for her and a honeydew milk tea and traditional boba for myself. Plus it was their anniversary so they were doing BOGO drinks! I also got her a little boba squishmallow to commemorate the experience. We enjoyed our drinks in the cutely decorated side room and I noticed they also sell ice cream for those who don't like texture in their beverages. Wait is ridiculously long. By the time you get your food, it's soggy. Sandwich is no longer crunchy and waffle also no longer crunchy. I ordered my food at the kiosk at 6:06 and did not get my food til 6:38. It really wasn't the nicest shopping center, but the owners of this little place have decked it out, and they are offering a lot. The BEST boba I've had in Charleston!!! The tapioca pearls have the best texture, not too soft and not too hard. My boyfriend got the mango nada which was a great balance of spicy and slightly sweet! The tajin straw was a nice garnish too. The variety of milk teas is unique and I love the stickers, keychains, plushies they sell. Wholly Cow ice cream is available for sale as well. I went during a busy cup sleeve event to try their boba. The staff was very busy but I noticed there was no real order of how they were making drinks. My drink then got lost. I asked once about my drink and after about 15 minutes several more were made behind me, I asked them about my drink again and they finally stopped and made it. I was a bit disappointed that I was standing right in front of them for so long and no one thought anything of it. I got a watermelon fruit tea with kiwi popping boba. The fruit tea didn't taste like much and the popping boba was good. Maybe I would have to go back on a not busy day to give it a try. Checked this place out because I wanted a refreshing, sweet drink and their oolong milk tea hit the spot. This is in a seemingly unpopular, sort of run down strip mall but it was really cute inside with a whole second room for seating as well. The cashier was super nice and patient as I browsed the menu. I'll say the drink wasn't anything special but it was good for the price and was very refreshing. It wasn't a strong oolong flavor but had a nice sweetness to it at the half sugar level. It's really inviting, doesn't take itself too seriously, and has a concise yet exhaustive menu. The counter service is fast, the place is clean and the people working there are patient and informative. Highly recommend the pandan waffle it's green on the inside. Had to spin the block on this review to mention the banh mi. They use a particular baguette which I believe makes it special. I'd be interested to know where the bread is made. There's VERY limited boba places in Charleston, so Hi Boba Tea it was. I ordered Jasmine Green Milk Tea. Usually Jasmine tea is very fragrant but not here. It's weak, generic, and diluted, even my rainbow boba lacked the freshness. This is my favorite Bubble Tea spot in the North Charleston area. It is located in a small plaza with a tire shop and liquor store next to it, so it is slightly hidden. I was initially a bit skeptical due to the location, however I am very glad to find this place. The woman working at hte counter was very kind, she took the time to explain the different teas, smoothies, and toppings i could get. They have many type of crystal pearls(brown sugar, clear, regular, matcha, fruit flavored) grass jelly, rainbow jelly, and also fruit flavored popping boba. Sweetness of the drink can be adjusted by telling them the percentage of sweetness you want. They also have an assortment of Banh Mi sandwiches and they are the only place that I have found in the area that serves authentic Pandan waffles(a type of coconut flavored, mochi waffle). I decided on a Thai green milk tea with grass jelly, and On another visit I ordered a Pandan waffle. The Pandan waffle was amazing, chewy inside and crispy exterior, and had the texture of mochi with a subtle coconut/pandan flavor.
