Despite being busy and having long lines both inside and in the drive through they kept people moving and turned out food and drinks quick. Super friendly staff who never stopped moving and working. The lattes were great here! In a short stay we visited 2x. I will say the service was a bit slower than what I'm used to. The staff seemed to be a bit overloaded both times, despite visiting later in the morning which I would think would be less busy. Metto is so good that I visited twice while visiting Mt. Pleasant for a long weekend! The first time it was storming, so we used the drive-thru. The second day, it was much nicer out, so we parked and went inside. I had a vanilla latte the first time, and a strawberry fields latte the second, and both were tasty! Stopped here while in the area and grabbed a peppermint white mocha and a regular white mocha. The peppermint mocha wasn't overly sweet and they nailed the kids temperature for me. The hubs got a regular white mocha and they just not have steamed a new thing of milk for his as it was the same temperature as mine even though he ordered it standard temperature. Greatful to find a place to get a matcha latte that also had several plant-based milk options. The person taking our order was super knowledgeable and helpful. The downside was that the matcha was already "sweetened", so not a Japanese matcha powder that makes a traditional matcha, but I wasn't feeling particularly picky about that. Great coffee and food! We stopped here during our Charleston trip for a quick grab and go coffee/breakfast. There were plenty of breakfast sandwich options for each of us to get something different and we all liked what we got! We liked it so much we visited twice before we headed back home! What a great little spot in Mount Pleasant. You have the option to park and go inside to order or go through the drive-through. I opted to park and go inside. I was lucky and only had one person in front of me. There was an assortment of danishes and sandwiches that I could purchase. I opted for a grilled cheese and chai.both were awesome! I brought my husband home a coffee cake muffin and he loved it. I ate outside on the patio, which was very nice. There is a beautiful tree that I sat under. On September 32, 2024, at approximately 0652 hours, I, Dante G., responded to Metto Coffee and Tea located at 354 West Coleman Boulevard, which is located in the jurisdiction of the town of Mt. Pleasant, county of Charleston, and state of South Carolina, in reference to a disturbance. Specifically, my sleep was disturbed to attend a class in Mt. Pleasant. Upon arrival, I parked in the small lot and walked up a shirt ramp, which sat next to a short set of stairs, and entered the business through the door located on the B-A corner of the structure. I was surprised at the change in the atmosphere outside to inside. The outside, shrouded in darkness, looked like any other shore town restaurant. Inside was a bright and inviting, upbeat cafe. I was initially greeted by a male white in a Metallica shirt. Quickly, though, a female white in a READ t-shirt took over the point of sale, which is located on the opposite side of the cafe from the entrance I used. I ordered a Spicy Ginger Latte, hot, and a Chai Doughnut. The doughnut, while small, was backed with an iverabundance of chai spice and was amazingly moist. A wonderful way to start the day. The spicy ginger latte was just the right temperature to drink immediately. It had a subtle ginger heat, not overpowering, but noticeable. It was at about this time that Justin K. arrived to assist. He ordered an iced latte, unknown specifics, and a bacon-egg-cheese on an everything bagel. He advised that it was as excellent a way to begin the day as the chai doughnut. I cannot believe I've never reviewed Metto despite the amount of times I've been here. A super busy spot with many people coming for their morning cuppa Joe & or to meet with friends. It's a hip & happening spot, with lots of bakery & sandwich choices. The art work on display is local and beautiful adding to the hip vibe of the place. The staff are super friendly and attentive, aiming to always please the customers. They have an outside deck area where you can bring your dogs and along with limited parking round the back. Went to this coffee shop while visiting Charleston. I really like how they have an ample amount of seating with plugs. There is also a fair amount of seating outside the coffee house. I ended up getting a large Pumpkin White Mocha to celebrate fall. I like how light it tasted. I really wish they would have done a design with the latte. We needed an afternoon caffeine fix, so we looked for a local, non-chain coffee shop. Metto is pretty easy to identify from the street. It is a standalone black/dark gray building on a corner lot. They seating indoors, seating on a nice deck and a drive-thru lane. The servers were friendly, and the coffee was really good. They have lots of coffee drink choices and a wide variety of flavors. Great spot in Mt P. They take pride in their products, both baked goods and coffee. I got to chat with them a bit while my food was cooking. They source the beans themselves which is a great touch. They were happy to chat with me (I was there in between rushes so I'm sure that helped) and tell me about the business. Gave me a punch card to start filling up! The shop is super cute and cozy. Plenty of space to sit and talk and not cramped like a lot of coffee houses. I also adored their espresso machine. It was gorgeous! Everything is reasonably priced, and delicious! Hands down one of the best seasonal pumpkin white mochas I've ever had - got it with oat milk and found the flavor to be so perfect. I like that it didn't taste like syrup or wasn't overly saccharine. The mocha tasted like a hug in a cup. I tried some of my Dad's plain hot coffee, it was alright! The other winner was the baked goods - tried the blondie bar and the vegan metto muffin. The sugar on top added a nice crunch, the toasted almonds, and blueberries paired wonderfully together. Great spot for any cafe offerings - they offer a wide range of coffees from plain black (with a special roast of the day to "treat" coffees/frozen options. Decent tea selection for those that prefer it. Also have a great selection of fresh pastries, you must try a mini chocolate croissant. Easily the best coffee we have had here in the Charleston area! Guiltily, I will admit I'm a bit of a coffee snob (being from Seattle) so I typically don't have high expectations for coffee when traveling. Metto coffee really surprised me (in a great way)! I always tend to order "unusual" or uncommon drinks, and they were more than happy to accommodate! We ordered: A 16oz (small) Cold Brew with a splash of cream, 1 pump of caramel syrup and 1 pump mocha. This is my go to order everywhere, and the cold brew here was very good! The cold brew is really what makes this drink good, and it was great! A 20oz (medium) iced honey latte with soy milk. This was delicious! The right amount of honey! Had an iced oatmilk vanilla latte. Very good. Flavor, body, intensity was all there. Also had a lemon crumb bar. Delicious. It was tangy, sweet, crumbly, and also a dash of salty. My husband had a hot almond milk latte. He said it was good. Service. Our lattes took about ten minutes to be given to us. The place itself is cute. Plenty of seating inside and outside, and pleasant music playing. My issue with it, apart from the fact our coffees took forever, was the cleanliness. My husband's mug had a lipstick stain on it. Tables weren't wiped down. The bathroom, however, was adequately clean. A big section of a wall seems to have been repaired and left unpainted. I'm hoping these small issues will be addressed, and I'd be happy to give this place another chance. read more

Typically this is one of our favorite places. Today, Dec 16th, we had an awful experience. The girl behind the counter could not have been more rude. The food ordered was not as described - ordered a turkey cranberry panini - came with cheese, tomato, lettuce or spinach and mayo. It was awful & we left without eating. My husband's bagel & cream cheese was not only tossed on the table at him - it had very little cream cheese. We had to approach the counter twice for silverware and napkins. After our work out, my friend suggested Metto for brunch. It is a quaint small local business with a relaxed atmosphere and cheerful decor. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. I splurged on the St Patrick's latte and smoked Turkey panini. The panini was crispy and toasted to perfection. The cheeses were blended to melt perfectly with the Turkey. My latte was so delicious it became my desert. The owner came by our table and greeted us with a genuine smile. This was the first time I've been here but I will become a frequent flyer now! The only negative is the parking places are few so we had to park across the street near jiffy lube.
