While giving blood today in North Charleston, I asked the staff where to get some good coffee. After they made me laugh by saying they had some in the recovery area, I asked them for better suggestions. The immediately rang off three chains I've had many times before. While they were going back and forth I pulled up Lodi. They immediately said how great it was along with food. I'm on a diet so I had to skip that part but it was confirmation to give it a shot. Pulling up I was curious why it was so barren? Any who, I ordered a Hazelnut latte over the intercom. I pulled up and the people were extremely nice while filling my order. $8.50 before a tip, WOWZA, they must have GREAT Jo. I was the only one in line and 5 minutes passed so I meditated a bit, then roughly 9 minutes I got my coffee. I mean, were they growing the beans in there? The length of time for four people I saw in the store for just me made me curious why it takes so long. I must highly advise be VERY careful pulling out. The restaurant literally sits within a foot of the road, making visibility to pull out sketchy to say the least. This was an odd visit to be sure. After I got situated in the traffic, I went to pull a nice sip of coffee and what's up with the insulators? It says Kudu rather than their name? Very odd. Ok generally I like to do a review with a larger sample size but I'm not around the area so I'm going with what I got. I got the large hot Hazelnut latte and it was average at best. I couldn't even make out the Hazelnut which was the point. Moreover, there wasn't anything distinct or unique characteristics to spark my imagination and lust to return. Just ho hum. Needless to say I wasn't very impressed with my visit but perhaps it was an off day, I'm not sure. Drop by if you have a little time to burn but perhaps try a different coffee or something to eat. Good reviews (current over 3,000 reviews and 4.9 stars PHEW) and the VAST menu looked legit. After a complete review of the huge menu, I ended up ordering the Cloud 9 Latte, which was described to have a sweet cream based and topped with a double shot of espresso - there were 3 flavor options, as well: regular, strawberry or chocolate. It was a bit on the sweeter side for me and not super strong, so I probably should have gone for the large latte, which comes with 4 shots of espresso. However, I can see how this can be super popular. If you're looking for an easy drinking caffeinated beverage on the road, Lodi Coffee is the best spot for you! read more

Stopped here for coffee this morning before doing some shopping and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was! The flavor was spot on, even better than I expected. The others in my group loved their coffees too and had nothing but good things to say. It can be tough getting in and out of this location depending on which direction you are coming from. The staff is always welcoming. Lodi Coffee in North Charleston is the perfect stop for a quick treat and coffee! This was my first visit, but it certainly won't be my last. As a drive-thru-only location, I was immediately impressed by their large menu which has so many fun options to choose from. I chose the Honey Bear Latte with oat milk, and I was greeted by a wonderfully friendly cashier and barista at the window . I typically drink oat milk because I enjoy the flavor, but I appreciated that the barista double-checked my order since one of their syrups contains milk. It's reassuring to know they prioritize customer care, especially for those with allergies--it makes me confident recommending Lodi to friends. The service was impressively quick and exceptionally polite. I also got one of their massive chocolate croissants, which definitely lives up to its name! It's the largest one I've ever seen, and I learned they source it fresh from Saffron Bakery in downtown Charleston, which is a fantastic way to support local businesses. I love Lodi Coffee!!! They have the coolest flavors, the sweetest staff, and are always so quick in service. I have gotten a different flavored matcha drink every time I stop by and the staff is always so accommodating in helping me pick the next flavor. Some interesting flavors I've had are the strawberry cheesecake, raspberry, mint, and lemon shortbread matcha. I will admit that the matcha flavor isn't so prevalent - it's more going to taste like whatever syrup you pick and milk, but I'm not mad about it. I really do enjoy their giant ham and cheese croissant, but every time I get it, it's toasted on the outside but the middle tends to be cold or frozen. You can sign up for their rewards program and get coupons, BOGO free, or birthday freebies, so I will always come back to Lodi. When I go out for coffee, I want something that I can't make at home, so I order a frappe, an espresso drink with multiple flavors, or a seasonal item. Lodi is the place to go for fun coffee and has tons of frappe flavors. You'll definitely find a better selection here than other well-known chains. The drive-thru line gets long, but there's a QR code menu on the light pole so you can think about what you want before ordering. If you have questions, the staff are always super nice and quick to answer. Since it's a drive-thru, there's no ambiance, but the workers are talkative and welcoming- you can tell they are grateful for your business. The coconut cream mocha latte was amazing, and don't sleep on the chocolate chip cookie here. You can even get it warmed- perfection! The drinks can be very sweet, so if you are diabetic, dieting, or sensitive to sugar in any way, ask the staff to use fewer pumps. There are few things in this world better than Lodi Coffee. My friends who live out of state not only follow Lodi's socials, but will frequently tag me in their contests and will send me drooling emojis when they release their monthly menu updates. Lodi is super efficient, rivaling Chik-Fil-A; even when they have cars lined back up to Home Depot, they seamlessly process orders, have a staff member outside in the line to process payments, and have your drinks and food ready for you at the window. I don't know how they do it, but a line of 10, 15, or 20 cars just disappears before your very eyes. Their (seasonal) frosty lemonade is my favorite, but I can't turn down any of their lattes or frappes when I've got $1 off or a free drink in my app. I typically bring a beverage carrier and I'll order drinks for us for today and tomorrow, plus a pup cup. My dog knows when we're at Lodi - she hops up in the window and the drool waterfall begins when we pull up for pickup. The staff is ALWAYS friendly, engages in painless small talk, and they will gladly tell you their favorite items. Okay we stopped here driving home from our spring break because it was the closest to the highway and not expecting much and WOW! the moment that we pulled off the highway and saw the line we knew it was going to be good.
