I cannot say enough amazing things about our DJ, Andrew. I first heard about him through our friend who had him DJ at her wedding several months prior. On initial phone call with Andrew, everything was already so comfortable - he was not pushy at all and he was very open to hearing about the music we enjoyed and receptive. Earlier this year, we hired Hi Def to MC and DJ our wedding and I could not be happier with that decision. Andrew was our DJ and absolutely killed it. First he got to know both myself and my fiancé with a zoom call just so that we could get to know each other and I could tell from the call that it was going to click. A couple months away from the wedding, Andrew had us list out some must-haves in terms of songs for the wedding. While we initially only listed 6 songs total, he had us go back and fill in just a few more to try to gauge our music preferences. Day of the wedding and Andrew absolutely killed the playlist. I could tell from the playlist of songs that everything was thoughtfully curated and what's more is that Andrew mixed and transitioned each song perfectly. It wasn't just a good playlist that was being played, but each song had a spin to it or it was expertly mixed and I was blown away. Each transition was perfect and I would never have thought certain songs could go so well with one another. I got to work with Andrew DJAflex and MC James Baek. Working with both of them made the party lit. So good in fact that I'm still recovering from the dancing two days later. But here's a little bit of how they work and how they execute. Planning- After we reached out to them, they had an initial consultation which Andrew was able to answer any questions and recommend what would be the best package suited for our wedding style and venue. After some time and about a little over a month out, they provide a questionnaire with all the songs that we would like played and when. Then there's another consultation with our MC and DJ to get them to understand our style and vibe. Execution- BLEW US AWAY. Songs were executed flawlessly and even though I became "that guy" asking for some changes and requests, Andrew had no issue mixing it into the set. MC got the guests participating and having a great time. Such a good time that our guests have been asking who they are and how we got so lucky! Overall, couldn't have asked for better DJ and MC. They are truly a class act and some of the coolest guys to work with. Thanks again!! read more

The best in the business hands down! DJ AFLEX did my wedding back in 2016. I been to a good amount of weddings and can say without a doubt he is by far the best DJ I have witnessed. He knows how to feel the crowd to play the right music with smooth transitions. Music is VERY crucial to a party. It sets the tone and gives you certain vibes. If you are looking for a damn good DJ you don't need to look no further. Communication is on point Price is on point Music on point Service is on point Pretty much everything is on point. We could not recommend HiDef enough!!! In fact, we're already referring them to all our friends who are planning a wedding, even those not local to the LA area, because we think they are absolutely fantastic. Leading up to the wedding, HiDef was super accommodating, allowing us to invite our friend up as a guest DJ. They worked with him separately to understand what he was planning on playing so they could avoid playing it and even allowed him to bring his own mixer. They also worked with us to upgrade our lighting and AV package to bring whatever they felt would work best at our venue. They never tried to upsell us and in fact, brought some equipment for free or gave us free tips on how we might be able to elevate the experience without spending unnecessarily. Every exchange was so genuine and you could tell they were always prioritizing our experience and our guests experience, first and foremost. During the wedding day, they helped manage guest traffic and flow and worked with our coordinators to keep us on schedule. Andrew (DJAflex) is so witty, knows how to read a crowd and riff with them - his adlibs were always spot on and our guests loved them!! Later in the evening, they also helped bring the guests onto the dance floor for a big group photo and then dropped a beat to get them all dancing. Now we'll have a photo of all our guests together on our wedding day, forever. When it was finally time for our friend to DJ, they helped set up his gear when it was time for him to go on and also manned the lights to the timing and mood and bear of his performance. They also captured content of our friend DJing because they knew how special and meaningful it was for us.  Following the wedding, they also offered to create a short reel using our wedding photos - a service they absolutely do not need to extend, but are freely offering to do.  Absolute party rockers, curators of a fantastic night - we could not recommend them enough. read more

We were recommended Andrew (djaflex) by SOO many people, that obviously we had to reach out for our wedding. He was so easy to talk to and he understood what our music preferences were from the beginning. Throughout the wedding our friends kept saying how great the music was and how funny James was (mc)! I was so happy that everyone was enjoying themselves. It was great that he could incorporate so many types of music and there was no time when it felt awkward or you know.. I never felt that a particular song was too long etc etc. Basically the music ALL night was seamless and we loved it! We were also happy that Andrew checked in on us throughout the day / night. We've seen them work together at a handful of our friends' weddings and knew immediately we would want to book them for ours when the time came. Andrew is a college friend of my husband but was so professional throughout the entire process- we had an initial questionnaire (music choices, your wedding vibe, etc), and a final meeting with James, Andrew, and my wedding planner a few weeks before the wedding to make sure everything was coordinated perfectly. My wife and I can't say enough good things about HIDEF! We had read all the rave reviews and had high expectations, but HIDEF definitely exceeded those expectations and blew us away. Working with Andrew (DJ AFLEX) and James (MC) was such a pleasant, easy experience. They were organized, thoughtful, and patient throughout the process. Their chemistry and professionalism were on-point. James is an absolute natural who made sure that the ceremony and reception was inclusive of both our English-speaking and Korean-speaking guests. We had a traditional Korean ceremony (Paebaek) during cocktail hour that kept all of our guests engaged thanks to James' skills on the mic. James also led fun games to pass the time when necessary that kept the energy levels high and all of our guests hyped. This man could legit entertain an entire stadium and host his own show on primetime. He's that good. As for the music, I highly doubt that you're going to be able to find anyone better than Andrew. His transitions and ability to flow through a variety of genres were seamless. At our request, he played a mix of R&B and Hip Hop (modern + throwbacks) that kept the dancefloor cracking. Many of our guests also passed along compliments regarding the music. Andrew understood the assignment and made sure that the vibes were right the entire time. He was also super respectful and kind when taking our asks for song selections + giving his own suggestions/recommendations. 10/10 to DJ AFLEX. My husband can not emphasize how much we loved HiDef. We got to work with Andrew and Steven for our wedding and they absolutely killed it. We were very worried about making sure the music was good and didn't have much of an idea of where to go with it since all of our guests had very diverse taste in music. Andrew got on multiple calls with us and helped us not only figure out our first dance song but also made us feel confident in our choices and that they'd be able to make it work. Somehow these guys were able to blend everything and it was an amazing night. Steven did a perfect job in keeping things going with our guests and put in extra care with all the names since it was a multicultural wedding. Amazing event group! Would recommend a thousand time plus!! Andrew was so accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process. Was there from the beginning to the end to help ensure we have an amazing wedding. Ceremony and reception timeline breakdown and open discussions about song choices and their opinions on how to sort the events to make the wedding seamless. Wow, what an amazing night! If it wasn't for Andrew (DJ Aflex) and James (MC), my wedding wouldn't have been the night my guests spoke about, especially the older guests (aka parents and their friends). From day one to the wedding, they made sure we chose the right songs for every moment - Ceremony to Reception. They had great recommendations if you get stuck! Hi Def was such a pleasure to work with! Right away from our initial Zoom call with Andrew, we had such a good vibe, and they definitely delivered on our wedding day. We and our guests were dancing all night long! James was our emcee, while Andrew was our DJ. They are both talented and kept us and our guests entertained! We had Andrew (djaflex) and Amber (kairosthedj) MC/DJ for us at our wedding and we are so glad we ended up going with them for our special day. My wife and I were initially hesitant about hiring a 3rd party MC for the night vs. asking a friend to MC but ultimately Andrew was an amazing MC who was fantastic with keeping the guests engaged, making sure there were no awkward moments throughout the whole night, bringing an awesome energy, and a professional at reading the vibe of the event and guests. Andrew and Amber also DJ'd for us, and they were amazing at taking our preferred song/genre choices and we couldn't have asked for a better duo! Also cannot praise HIDEF's customer service enough! We had multiple calls/meetings leading up to our wedding to make sure we got to know each other better and they even accepted all our chaotic music selection/schedule changes (which we continued to make even during the day-of!) flawlessly.
