Thank you for the long winded respond that does not explain why you did not refund me the $1400 that I paid for the service you did not render. The paperwork was not the reason you failed to render services as it was the easiest part (you only needed to provide basic business information. I will happily add a picture of the paperwork from the venue to another update if you try me). You stopped effectively communicating about 2 weeks before the wedding. You failed to provide proof of food handlers card and proof of liability insurance- all things that you were aware of far in advance when you did the venue walk through with the site coordinator at least 5 months before wedding date. I even considered getting the liability insurance on your behalf but you would have still needed the food handlers card., which you were unable to provide a copy of. You instead provided a receipt that you paid for it but no proof that you had a current one. I will happily include pictures of our Facebook conversation, if your response is a rewrite of what actually happened. And you are right, I said that I would work with you on repaying me back but you ran me in circles for about a year before you said you would send me under $100 out of $1400 and would not commit to a repayment schedule. You took advantage of my kindness and as soon as I became more firm in asking for repayment, you blocked me. I will happily include pictures of our Facebook conversation if you try me. Chris and his team were amazing. We booked them for my wedding and i would recommend them to everyone. Priced reasonable and was able to pay in payments as it got closer to the date. We booked dj and bartending services. We had our wedding in Santa Barbara by the beach and they accommodated outdoor and indoor entertainment. We had an outdoor ceremony and they were able to play the exact songs i wanted. Our venue had an outdoor patio for the dance floor area but unfortunately it rained at night. Luckily Chris was able to move everything indoors and the party never stopped. Everyone was dancing and having fun the entire night. We were able to customize the drinks we wanted to have and the bartender was the nicest person. Last minute I asked the bartender if they could set up two tequila shots for my dad and I before our father/bride dance and they were served chilled! Amazing! They are very accommodating and communicative. My guests said they had a great time. Thank you a million times for making my day so special. I booked the Photo Booth MONTHS in advance and paid in full and for unforeseen circumstances, I have to cancel and you can't even honor a refund, or perhaps a partial refund. And my event isn't for 2 months still. You gave me a good price for leaving my last event early, because you overbooked yourself on the same day, and then you had to refund my uncle for not doing tacos because your meat source was out of a job? It's unfortunate but you could have still got the meats and did a service for them, instead of making them scramble to find a new food vendor for their event days before you cancelled. A true UNPROFESSIONAL. Despite him providing a photobooth that our guest enjoyed my overall experience with him was horrible. His communication is terrible, he WILL NOT keep his word. He promised me photobooth samples for over a month, finally sent them less then a week before my event. We paid him in full (he offered a discounted price this way so we did) and we're still waiting for our photobooth photos which he promised to send within 4 days. I messaged him and he told me "he's busy" and he'll send them "probably Monday." I sent him a deposit December 7th for chairs / tables for my event on March 17th, he calls me March 13th to let me know he will NOT be able to provide the tables and chairs! Having to find someone in less then a week to provide over 100 chairs and 14 tables, talk about stressful. After cancelling on us you would think he would immediately refund us our deposit, NOPE he put that off until the day of our even after saying he would send it by Friday. Constant promises and not making good on them. Always an excuse on why he can't do something. I wasn't going to leave him a yelp review, instead on the Facebook group where I found him, I told people I would NOT recommend his services. I guess he didn't like my honest review so he messaged me. Now it seems like he's retaliating by "lagging" with the photobooth photos. Who tells someone "I'm busy" after paying them in FULL. So here we are with another review on another platform. If you want your event to be stress free, deal with a vendor that is reliable! Honest! And keeps his word which Christopher is none of. This is our second event with DJCJ and to be quite honest, this will be our DJ for any future events! My daughter's quinceañera in March 2024 was a great success because he played all the jams that kept people on the dance floor. We paid him up front in advance for the quince and our wedding in Sept 2024, and he showed up and did his thing both times. He has always been communicative and helpful to keep the party going. He even made it a point to come to my husband and I to remind us to eat (because weddings are crazy busy and sometimes we forget!)...if you're looking for a great DJ who will keep your guests happy, this is your guy!! let me start by saying DJCJ SAVED our wedding! I got married in October 21st and was looking for a DJ with short notice, i found him on facebook and with any other vendors i looked for reviews first, judging from his Facebook page past clients had good things to say but when i came here on yelp i read some not great reviews. It did make me worry but from the phone conversation we had and exchanges thru text my gut feeling was that the good reviews outweight the bad ones. so my now husband and I decided to go ahead and book him. about a week before our wedding he had a pet emergency and asked if we can pay him in advance the full amount and in return he would give us an extra hour, us being pet parents we understood that sometimes there are emergencies we cant control so that afternoon we paid in full and told him to not worry about sending the invoice right away, but by the next day we had the invoice stating we paid in full, so that was reassuring. Day of our wedding we arrived at the venue early and he was setting up along with a live band my parents hired, he communicated with them and the night went smoothly! Now at 9pm we hired a mini pancakes catering to come out and make some mini pancakes and crepes for our guest as a late night snack. I dont know the details but our venue LOST POWER! Im very thankful for DJCJ for being the vendor that took it upon himself to figure out what was happening and he reached out to the venue owner and resolved the issue, he even lent one of his cables to the mini pancakes vendor since her equipment kept failing. She has also reached out to me to say he helped her out alot because she was about to cancel our event , but luckily DJCJ stepped in to help and the mini pancakes were a huge HIT at our wedding! as for the music provided HE KNOWS WHATS UP!! it was banger hit after banger hit!! i only wish i had enough energy to dance thru all the songs! he asked for a list of requested songs and i gave him the most random list from rock en espanol to 2010's hit, rave music and even heavy metal and he organized it to PERFECTION! its now Tuesday and my guest are STILL sending me videos of the dance floor and saying what a great night they had! and as a bride that planned for months every detail, hearing that my guest had an amazing time makes it all so worth it :) oh and of course my husband and I ENJOYED EVERY MIN OF IT!! side note, DJCJ surprised us with the Pokémon theme song as the last song and i cant express enough how WILD we all went! we're 90s kids afterall and that was the cherry on top!! cant thank you enough Chris! We hired Christopher for our beach wedding in Santa Barbara and he was awesome! He was really communicative leading up to the event and gave us an incredibly reasonable rate. We had a really complicated setup with a rocky trail down to the beach, but Christopher totally made it work and set up an entire sound system on the beach and then moved everything up to the house for the reception. Despite it being windy on the beach, the sound for our wedding was perfect. He really went above and beyond and we are so glad we went with him! Chris services for photo booth were great at my Mother in Law's 60th Bday Party. He was priced reasonable and provided a discount if paid in full when I contacted him a few days after his especial had expired. He created the layout for the strip that I requested and it was super cute! He was very responsive and cordial and kept communication open at all times. He showed up on time and accommodated being set up outside the venue since there was no space inside. We had unlimited printing of strips and everyone had fun at the photobooth and were able to keep their prints as a keepsake. I had gifted my Mother in law an album so people could leave her one of their prints but she forgot, thankfully Chris said he will provide all the digital media of the pictures. Her event was March 17th, I haven't received them yet but I have no doubt he will send them our way, life gets busy!
