Hi tech was recommended by a friend who had his sprinklers installed by them. Of the four quotes I got, they were the most reasonably price AND had more zones planned for my yard. After I called, they were at my house within a few days, showed up exactly when they said they would. When they were putting in the piping underground, my yard looked it was destroyed, but by they time they were finished, it barely looked like they did anything. Every blade of grass looked back in place. Bobby (pretty sure that was his name) installed the sprinkler program app on my phone and programmed it for me. He then explained how the app worked and showed me how to make any changes. I feel like most companies would tell you to download the app and figure it out on your own. I HIGHLY recommend Hi Tech irrigation to anyone looking for a sprinkler system. read more

I am sorry for waiting so long to write my review , I wanted to wait till the season was over, so I could give a review from install to blowing out the lines. I have a lot of regrets with some companies i dealt with in the past, Hi Tec irrigation is not one of them as a matter of fact , they are the best company I ever dealt with!!!! For starters the day I signed my contract, they were very good of explaining everything. Now let's talk about Bobby, young man, friendly,professional, and down to earth. You wouldn't know he is the owner , he went above and beyond, had great ideas at no additional cost. His main goal is to give you a great system and for you to be 100 percent happy. He has a great crew who he appreciates and truly treats them like family, you don't see that today. I wish I worked for him, with that said. They respect Bobby and work there butts off. We moved into our house and the previous owner had suggested us to continue using Hi-Tech Irrigation. Being new to the area we decided to go with the recommendation Unfortunately we did not have a great experience with the company. We had them close our sprinkler system over the winter and reopen for the spring. When they came to open the system in the spring, they were supposed to change our rain sensor, clean and adjust all sprinkler heads and inspect for leaks in the lines. After the workers inspected everything, they informed us that there were a few broken sprinkler heads and the rain sensor was broken. We refused the replacement of the sprinkler heads, because the mark-up they were charging was astronomical. We were able to replace 6 sprinkler heads for the price they were charging for one. We had them replace our rain sensor, however it was never changed. They charged us for the replacement, but never replaced the broken one. Furthermore a few weeks later, we discovered there was a leak in the line, even though they supposedly checked this a few weeks prior. My husband found the leak, dug up the line and when they came to fix it they still charged us the full price, even though the job was 75% completed. We called management to try to resolve the issue, however after several calls, we never received a call back. I would unfortunately recommend finding a different company to use. read more

I have been using this company for at least 15 years and every year there is a need for one or more sprinkler heads. I kept telling my wife these people are rip offs and lets get someone else but she did not listen to me so they came last week to turn on the sprinklers and they said there was 3 broken heads that had to be replaced. How can 3 heads break from November when they blew out the sprinklers and we had one of the warmest winters ever with no snow freezing up the ground how do 3 heads be no good, The workers that come to turn on sprinklers get some kind of commission on all the broken heads they can lie to the homeowner. Finally my wife is fed up with the stealing that they do to homeowners. We are done with Hi Tech read more

Unfortunately there is no option for 0 stars. Terrible company. Unprofessional. Products don't last. They will provide services that need to be re done after 6 months. They provided services for my home, once parts were needed after one year they stated they couldn't believe someone did this job not realizing it was them that performed the services the year prior. They did not provide quality materials. Would not recommend!!! read more

I've used them for years. They were recommended by the previous owner. Every year when they came to turn on the sprinklers for the summer they would say several were broken or leaking. One time they replaced the whole box. I wondered how every winter they fell apart but I'm not a plumber. So I paid them. This year when they came it was the same story three heads needed replacement. However this winter my daughter married a plumber. How lucky can I get. When they came over for Sunday dinner he brought 3 new heads over with him to do the replacement. Not one was broken or leaking. Makes me wonder how many times I paid for unnecessary repairs. Would not recommend. read more

Do yourself a favor and find another company! I don't make many reviews, but feel this is necessary. I thought they were doing a good job. The tech stayed at my house for hours (delaying my plans for the day) because her supposedly was rewiring my system. I asked myself "How could the wires need changing if there was no problem last year when they serviced my house, but let it go." He charged me hundreds of dollars that I paid. The next year, a friend had gotten into the business and offered to help open my system. When we did, we found that the box that the Hi-Tech person was rewiring for hours only had 2 wires in it!!! When I called Hi-Tech to inform management because in having over 20 years management experience myself, I can understand how someone can be taking advantage of the system, customers and their employer and all Hi-Tech was interested in was collecting their money and couldn't care less about my experience and being ripped off. The "Manager" laughed on the phone saying "It's only seventy dollars." He also asked "Why did it take a year for you to look at the system?" My point is "Who looks at every part of their system on more than a yearly basis?" That's what I pay them for!!! How would I know until the next opening? NEXT YEAR! I hope everyone finds this helpful. There are a lot of honest good hard working people that deserve business. Hire one of them. read more

I had them come twice. The first time it was almost $800 to get the system working again. We didn't use it for 2 years. They stayed a few hours and I thought it was done and working. I made the mistake of not going through all the zones with them. I finally use the system two weeks later and found they needed to come back again because I found 2 zones were not working. So guess what somehow I needed another 7 plus heads!!!! After all the heads they replaced the first time. It cost me another $750 !!!!!!! I'm going to compare receipts when I find the original. If the same heads were replaced I'll have to go to small claims court and tell the BBB. This is what happens when you live in an affluent neighborhood. It's disgusting. read more

I can not say enough good things about Hi-Tech Irrigation. We used them at the end of last season and stayed with them for this season. Thank goodness we did ! They updated out automatic sprinkler system at the start of the season, and, as a result of some issues with some landscape work done by someone else Hi-Tech had to come back twice this season to repair issues caused by the other contractor. They were prompt, efficient and priced fair. I will definitely stay with them for my sprinkler service. read more

Had a system installed . What a mess they made. System did not work correctly from day one and they send technicians that don't know what they are doing. I'm not one to write reviews but this experience defiantly warrants one. I recently purchased a new home in Islip. Unfortunately it did not come with a sprinkler system. My new Neighbor highly recommended High Tech Irrigation. Me being from queens and not knowing much about lawn care took his word on it and gave them a shot. When I called, I spoke to a wonderful young lady named Alexxis. She was very knowledgeable and explained to me in detail the process and what it intailed. I was sold. So she schuleded me an appointment for someone to come and give me an estimate. A few days later Mike came to my house and he to was abosolulty phenomenal. He gave me the perfect layout for my property and was very patient with 100 questions that I had for him. Within a few days I was up and running. To top it off, about a week later I recieved a call from Karen the owner not only to see how I was doing because she must of heard that I was recovering from a bad accident, but to see if I was satisfied with there work. I couldn't be happier. That really means a lot when your whole team is on the same page from the start of a project and they see it all the way through.
