The school is always secure and very safe. Love, how organise and secured there procedures are, just to enter the school you must always show some form of Identification. Love how they can keep a record of everyone coming in and out of the school. Always remember that the Front Office Staff sees hundreds of people, so take some time and have some patience and appreciate all there hard work. My child has been there since kindergarten and is a part of the high achievers class. She's now in 4th grade. Academics are #1 for them and it shows being that they're an A school for over 5+ years. I gave them 4 stars because I don't receive communication as much as I'd like from my child's teachers when it comes to projects and wanting things for the actual classroom. My child usually tells me what she needs instead of the teacher sending out a formal memo. That's my only issue. Otherwise the school is great and I appreciate all that they do for my child and other students to succeed and be the best they can be.

Ingrid has been an angel in my life. I've felt understood and her guidance has been invaluable. During our five years here, we have worked together as a team. Nothing had stopped her. She is always thinking about what else to do to help the kids. Her wisdom, integrity, love and knowledge has helped both my son and myself! The program here is so much more interesting for the kids and there is more freedom in finding a pace and style that truly works for their unique needs. Each year, our child completed the observations and assessments and received nothing but positive feedback about how well they did. Yet every year, we were waitlisted and ultimately never offered admission, without ever receiving a genuine explanation as to why. After three years, this process has left us questioning how fair and transparent admissions truly are and whether status, connections, favoritism, or nepotism play a role. From our experience, the process simply did not reflect the honesty, fairness, sincerity, and Christian values we expected from a faith-based school. As a Christian family, we have prayed about it and come to believe that perhaps God was protecting our child from an environment that was not meant for them. If this is how families are made to feel during admissions, we can only question what the culture is like on the inside. After three years of disappointment, we will not be applying again. Christian values should be demonstrated through actions, not simply through a school's name or reputation.

Plus, it has helped me a lot with my education and I've been an honor roll and a straight A student. They also hold tons of events like Hispanic heritage, spelling bees, Halloween gala, and more. They joined back in 2021. This school is ran very politically so if you aren't ready to become close friend with facility or provide them with some sort of financial incentive, prepare to feel like the odd ball. Other than that the facility is a bit, historic. Taken care of to their best ability. Sometimes things are broken and they get to them when they can. There will be stalls out of order until they can get to them. There will be instances where the ac doesn't function so well.... So now the incident that drove me withdraw my daughter. My daughter was seen with a mark on her face during class. Her teacher, Ms.Amargada I think it is, saw this and brought it up too the principal, Marisol. They both decided to call me (only Marisol spoke) and ask me if I knew anything about the mark on her face. I was confused because I was being called at 12:30 on the afternoon being asked as if I knew. I appreciate the initial concern and communication...the call continued on with Marisol asking me the same question in different forms. I simply asked they spoke with my daughter about this, which they did not. After the bright idea came into their head to ask my daughter, they called me back with her and told us both that she could call dcf. She asked my daughter if everything was going on and she assured her that everything was fine. We hung up for a second time. I gave the school a call back because I won't say it but I'm sure you can see what was being implied. I called back and let Marisol know that she had my permission to go into my 8 and 9 year olds class and ask them whatever she would like about my household , had she had any assumptions, I let her know to please ask away to my two smaller children and clear it up. To which she chose not to, stating and I quote, "I do not want to involve them". My daughter ended up clearing up what happened in the form of a text via a friends phone, about 10 minutes after the 3 phone calls. The next morning I went in and showed Marisol the message. Then I proceeded to transfer my daughter out of the school. They were clearing trying to villainize me and it was clear from the begging their tunnel vision on the matter. A call to ask about a mark or ANY concern for that matter of fact should never involve implications towards anyone about abuse, without reason to believe, it also shouldn't included a threat to call other entities. That wasn't correct of Marisol. So I peacefully withdrew my daughter. Marisol did in fact call dcf, they came to my home. I had the pleasure of explaining to them this, they spoke to my children , the same children she didn't want to involve because she knew that wouldn't have fit her narrative, then they advised me to complain about Marisol because how they put it to me, mater is a company & the customer service that I was receiving wasn't mirroring their brand values. Also the fact that Marisol's actions towards me showed to be very direct and intentional. I have no intention to do so but I do hope this helps who ever it may. You have a lot of good reviews, be mindful, to have a lot of money in your pocket and a fake smile to hand out, if not you too can find yourself in my situation.

Within the first week, a young girl in my son's first-grade class began threatening him and our family, saying she would kill him, me, and his father. When I addressed this with the school, I was shocked to learn that the teacher was aware of these threats but failed to report them or take action. I brought the issue to the assistant principal multiple times--not once, not twice, but at least three times--with my husband to discuss the growing concerns. Unfortunately, we never saw any sense of urgency in how the school handled the situation. Even though this was a clear threat, the administration seemed more focused on minimizing the situation rather than ensuring my son's safety. Eventually, the girl was moved to another class, but not before my son endured additional stress and fear. Shortly after, my son began coming home with bruises, explaining that other students were hitting and bullying him. When I raised this with the school, they brought in the school officer and seemed more focused on my son defending himself than addressing the root issue: other kids initiating physical altercations. As a parent, I understand the need to give grace to children, but when violence and bullying are involved, disciplinary action must be taken swiftly to protect all students. The school's failure to discipline the aggressors adequately, or to assure us that such incidents wouldn't happen again, was deeply concerning. At a charter school, I also understand their inability to share the specifics of the actions they took with other children, but there was no transparency or reassurance that these behaviors were being addressed seriously. Honestly, my son is too young to be dealing with violence in a school environment, and BridgePrep Academy should be ashamed of their failure to create a safe space for their students. I feel strongly that steps could have been taken early on to prevent the escalation of these incidents, but the administration repeatedly dropped the ball. Since moving my son to Norma Butler, I've seen a remarkable difference. He is thriving, there have been no incidents of bullying or physical altercations, and the teachers are proactive and communicative. I wouldn't recommend BridgePrep Academy to anyone. If you're facing similar issues, don't hesitate to find a better option for your child--it's worth it.
