I noticed the reviews weren't the best. I had tried this place many years ago, and felt that a new option was needed. First off they opened right at 11. There was a line of about 20 people. Thry were still fillingnthe bar. It has 3 different ice cream cups. A salad bar. A desert selection. I tired a variety of the items. The sesame chicken was very crispy. Not much chicken more breading then anything else. The sweet and sour was good. Black pepper chicken I also enjoyed even though it was extra crispy. The fried rice didn't have any flavor. The rice noodles also no flavor. It was 35 for 2 people and drinks. Everything was hot and we didn't get sick. Would go again. read more

DON'T COME HERE. Quite literally the worst Hibachi style food i've ever had. I've came to this place numerous and each were a year apart. Each time the food got progressively worse. Every thing that i ate had a fishy taste to it; even the non fishy items. Most the food was very wet. The bathrooms were disgusting and one of the workers was vaping in there. The total was 112$ for five people. I wish that we would have been told to total before she swiped the card. so terrible service on those two parts. The ambiance gets worse every time we come here. The service and atmosphere were nice. Buffet food is room temperature even though steam is seen rising from the warmers. Once you bite into your food, you realize it lacks flavor, has a chewy texture and is cold. Even the soup is just barely warm and extra jelly like, neither egg nor the hot and sour had flavor. Lots of choices at Hibachi, including limited sushi, salad, fruit, soups, all the Chinese dishes you would expect, and a hibachi grill. The space is huge and feels impersonal/cold. You pay at the register before you eat. We enjoyed the hibachi. The buffets and restaurant was clean when we visited and saw staff cleaning continuously. If you want a quick meal and don't want fast food, this is a good choice. read more

We were in town for the day and my husband was in the mood for Chinese. Despite the bad reviews, we decided to give this place a try anyway. One, because Chinese buffets always get worse ratings than they should (in my opinion) and second, because the food in the photos looked promising. We came in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. It was not busy at all, and pretty quiet. Right away, I noticed how clean and updated the atmosphere was. There were plenty of food and hot! I was looking forward to the seafood options but we came in during lunch, so I assumed it was why we had the small selection to choose from. Even with the little variety that was put out, I didn't have a hard time finding something to eat. The food had flavor and tasted fresh. My kids thoroughly enjoyed their plates (each of my older two, ages 9 and 3, ate about 2.5 plates before jumping onto the mandarin oranges and jello). It's hard to keep my 1 year old happy but the fried rice, chicken on a stick and lo mein kept him pretty satisfied the entire time we were dining in. No screaming or crying, and it was a great family meal. This was one of the few times I wasn't stressing over my kids being too loud etc. My husband thought the food overall was okay, primarily because of the selections. We both have had Chinese food from a lot of buffets all over and this one to me is decent. As long as the food has flavor, isn't over-the-top greasy, and can keep my kids full and happy, it's definitely a win in this mama's book. Our waitress was amazing. She kept our drinks constantly filled and was quick to clear our plates when we finished eating. We did not feel forgotten and were checked on often but not too much, and I felt she did such a great job. I'd love to check out the dinner selection next time for sure. read more

I ve been going here since it opened a few years back. The food is Okay but the quality suffers a lot. Today I went around four o'clock. Most of what I sampled was Luke warm, very chewy and in some cases tough as leather. The prices have gone up by at least 25-30% in the last year. On the brighter side, the selection is good and you can enjoy the hibachi grill over the rest. The sushi is not bad not great but ok. My wonton soup was barely warm. If you're selective you can find some good things but stay away from their ribs, crab, wings. The mussels are pretty good as is the shrimp you have to peel. The battered fish is more or less but who knows what it is. The new owners have added a lot of new things but it's hit and miss as to quality. I found myself throwing away a lot of the hard to chew items. I give it two stars only. The buffet next to the Food Lion on Glenburnie cost $8.75 has less selection but better quality imo. read more

I'm not sure why there are so many recent poor reviews. I was craving buffet and this is pretty much the only one left in town. I went at 5pm on a Friday and I found the food to be fully stocked, the facilities clean and service prompt. My only disappointment was the slim pickings of sushi, but I never understood how sushi in a Chinese restaurant became popular in the first place, so that's a minor inconvenience since there are several options around town for sushi. I think this place has fared well through time and is definitely worth checking out if you're craving AYCE Chinese. A solid 4. read more

Update to previous review - after calling, they worked out an a la carte dish for my son.

The buffet food itself is pretty typical, but what does make this particular establishment a bit above average is the hibachi station in the back. You fill up a plate with what you would like cooked up, pick either hibachi, teriyaki or soy sauce, and the chef cooks it to order. The choices include steak, peppered steak, shrimp or crab, as well as all of your typical stir fry vegetables and pineapple. My steak was way overcooked but I was happy with the rest. I also felt like the level of service here was above average compared to other Asian buffets. The servers came around pretty often to remove finished plates from the table as well as make sure your water cups were topped off. Overall a good value for the price. read more

This is absolutely our favorite buffet. Many options and large variety. Sushi, wings, ribs, shrimp, wonton, salad, crab, fish, chicken, pork, soup, fried rice, and much more. The Hibachi grill is amazing. You pick your meats, vegetables, sauces and the cook takes care of the rest. The entrance is very nice and we have always been greeted as soon as we enter. The wait staff always has drinks for you and will assist with anything you need If you can't find something you like here, you must be very picky, because you choose what goes into your Hibachi plate. We will be back, and we'll definitely be bringing friends and relatives. read more

Not recommended for families with young children. We've been going there with our daughter since she was a baby (almost 10 years - not long after the place opened), and have had no issues paying for her to eat there because she's never been picky. However, our son - who just turned 3 a week ago - is a different story. Children 2 and under are free, but at 3 the price jumps to $11-12 (for lunch on a Tuesday!). I asked if I could just buy some french fries a la carte for a couple dollars, and was told the only option for him to eat there was to pay the full 3-year-old price for the buffet. It's a waste of $11-12 for a 3-year-old to eat about 15 french fries. The adult prices are comparable to other restaurants, but expect to pay double for young children compared to what you can get on a kid's menu at another restaurant. I won't be going back until my son is older, if at all. Very sad because I'd liked this restaurant a lot for so long. read more

They advertise for sushi and all what they have one small tray with 5 pieces of sushi. Where the sushi suppose to be not there anymore! Food have no taste and old. You have to pay before you eat! We are on vacation in New Bern, NC and were trying to find a restaurant before going home. We found this restaurant on yelp. Since there were not many reviews and pictures of this restaurant, we thought we might take a big risk to dine there. Out of our surprise, their dishes were quite good and selections were all very nice. They have nice sushi selections and many seafood, meat, and vegetables dishes. The deserts were also nice. Staff all very friendly and service is very good. The most important thing is the price is very reasonable. If you are in the area, I suggest you try this restaurant. read more
