Where can I start, the food never and I mean never disappoints. It's yummy it's flavors coat your mouth with deliciousness. Appetizer to Entree, the word "good" does an injustice to this place. Four of us around 430 on a Saturday. This is a good time to come here. We got Nigri and sashimi sushi. Very excellent preparation. The rice was perfect in taste and amount. See photos. Next she got katsu don which was indeed a pork cutlet fried in panko with some bulldog sauce on the side. But that's not katsu don. We were expecting the onion and egg mixture on top of of the pork cutlet in a bowl of rice. Also got calamari which was super good. Service was very good. Don't forget if you get sushi tip the sushi chef. The sushi here is five stars all day. read more

1000% recommend. Well priced and EXTREMELY DELICIOUS. The service was really good too, our waiter was very helpful and constantly checking in on us. They have a lot of options, which made it hard to decide, but that just means we get to come back and try even more! This was the first time trying this restaurant. It was lunch time and the place was packed. Great sign. Took no time to be seated. Loved the wall art. Now for the food. First I had a salad. The ginger dressing was so good. Next the sushi. It was a sample plater. It was so good,that for new years we are going to get our favorites and have new years at home. Pleasantly surprised. We brought my daughter here to celebrate her recent High School graduation, as she wanted something casual and loves sushi. We were greeted by a warm upbeat server. They had a variety of Japanese soda ( we tried the blue one) but no beer.. They do have a BYOB policy though.. Food was fresh and decent. Great lunch specials & pricing! Great miso soup. The negative: My experience with three different rolls was average. The Alaskan roll, Salmon & Cucumber, and Spicy Tuna. Having consumed sushi from hundreds of places from around the world, this would unfortunately not be my "go to" place in the area. Ginza has been amazing everytime I go. The staff are usually very friendly and can recognize my repeat order and usually get it started before I have a chance to order. Over the last two years my family and I have dined here on multiple occasions. Our parties have ranged from two all the way to 12. They are accommodating as we just called ahead when we had larger parties and made a reservation. My family has tried so many of their sushi options, but our favs are the pepper tuna and the yellowtail jalapeño apps, Spicy Girl Roll, Angel Roll, and the Naruto Roll. Our kids are fans of the bento boxes and the fried rice. The prices are fair and the service has always been kind and quick. We brought our own sake and they brought out sake sets for our party. Granted initial trip in, miscommunication on how the ordering worked, it's a seat yourself place. If you stand and wait to be seated, they take your order to go. Anyways I got it figured out. After eating my to go order there, really surprised on how good it was. I got the steak and shrimp hibachi, steak was super tender and shrimp were peeled all the way back to just the very end. This has been my go-to for the past few months. It's consistent quality, fairly priced items and positive service have made it too easy to pop in when I'm making my normal grocery run. I've ordered a fair bit off the menu but the best bang for your buck are the lunch specials. My favorite by far is the maki sushi lunch combo. Three rolls for $11 is kind of amazing. The servers are always friendly and seem to be patient with restaurant goers who may not be decisive with their ordering. I also appreciate how clean and orderly they've kept the restaurant throughout the pandemic. Certainly a place to check out if you're in the area, particularly at lunch. read more

We got the love boat and hibachi chicken/veg. Everything was excellent! It's now our go-to place for sushi and hibachi.

If you're in the area and want sushi, this is where you want to go! We stayed in Newport, and travelled around the area looking for good sushi. We ran into a few places that weren't too bad, but decided to try this even though it was a little further away. Prices are good and the sushi was incredibly satisfying. I do not recommend the clear soup or the fried rice. Both could not be blander. The clear soup looked like dirty dish water and tasted like someone took a pot of water and put a dash of soy sauce in it. Clear soup is supposed to have an umami flavor with hints of vegetables, stock and ginger. Although the soup is clear, there is a lot of depth if done right. This by far is the worse soup I've ever had of any kind. I've made this many times, and it takes skill to make this soup. I encourage management to taste and do quality checks for all your food because - the fried rice was a waste as well. Went into the garbage because if I'm going to eat carbs, I want it to count. The same person that made the soup probably made the fried rice. White rice with a dash of soy sauce. Japanese food is so much more than that. read more

We were happy to find Japanese food, as we live in a rural area and don't often get the chance for it. But the food we had was awful. The clear soup was dreadful--my husband thinks it might have been made with chlorinated water, which overwhelmed the delicate flavors. The fried rice (not sure why a Japanese restaurant offers this) was dry and tasteless. We both ordered the seafood tempura, and didn't mind paying more than for shrimp tempura, because it was supposed to include crab and scallops. The scallops were simply missing, and the "crab" was fake. We would have been much better off if we'd just ordered shrimp tempura. All in all, a very disappointing meal. read more
