One of those roadside attractions that you really have to experience sometime in your life if you like quirky things. Apparently this is only one of three of these teepee villages left in the country after many more have been torn down. So I made my reservations online and less than a year later, we arrived! Keith and Megan are the owners and Keith greeted us and gave us quite the verbal tour and history. Him and Megan bought it five years ago and they are slowly updating everything to the original 1937 design but also keeping updated amenities in mind too. We stayed in number 10 and even though it has not been restored yet it was still clean and they put work into at least keeping it current until it gets a full restoration. The only complaint I had was there was not a lot of horizontal space to set things down. No nightstands either because it's a very tight space. No table at all in the bathroom either so it was hard to use toiletries. The air conditioner is in the window but eventually there will be a silent mini split installed and I can't wait to see that! The whole playground and fire pit area is completely vintage looking but still maintained. Guests came and went and it was always fun to watch different sets of kids enjoy all of the activities. We had a fire every night and Keith had one or two cats follow him down from his house who joined us and let us give them all the love. This was definitely a great stay and I'm looking forward to doing it again someday but I definitely want to stay in one of the more updated teepees. But they made it clear that anything we needed, we could just ask. Very nice people and you can tell they are really putting some love and TLC into this place. It might take a while to get it back there but they are not just skating by. The big teepee out front that used to be a restaurant and gift shop is going to be a coffee shop someday as well. The lodge, park and grounds were very quiet due to the shutdown. All the staff we encountered at the Lodge were very nice. The cafe there off the lobby had very affordable meals especially at breakfast. $8.50 for 2 eggs made to order, bacon/sausage, country potatoes and biscuits/toast! Breakfast was the winner, dinner was edible but not great. Definitely skip the "Hot Brown" sandwich. So why 3 stars? Our room (316) was extremely dated. And at close to $200 a night I expected better. There was an overpowering smell of mildew. The bathroom sink was cracked. The toilet was wobbly. Cracked tile in the dingy tub that also had a rusted shower curtain rod.

Five stars because it's paradise for our family when we can't go to the beach or otherwise choose a…read morestaycation. We've had so many great memories here over the years. The campground is normally well manicured, a genuine camping experience with the amenities of a bath house and certain sites having electric and water. The only thing I could dock stars for (but figure it's part of camping anyway), would be the bath house. The sheer amount of spiders and large insects lingering around at all hours is insane, especially when showering or dropping the deuce, as 8 legs come hauling ass your way! The campground has become increasingly packed on weekends with many of the sites being booked months in advance. That's fine by us. Our schedule allows us to be off while the majority of the workforce is hard at it. We absolutely love being at the campground through the week, especially while school is in session. This allows us to sometimes be the only campers in the area and the waters of Nolin lake to be like glass. The campsites vary in length and layout as well as some that offer electric and water. They all have a picnic table, lantern hook and a fire ring with grill top. Just bring a tent and some chairs, don't forget the graham crackers, chocolate and the marshmallows and make memories that you and your family will cherish forever. You will see plenty of deer and wild turkey in the area throughout the year. Many of the sites have lakefront footage as well, allowing you or loved ones to wet a line and maybe catch dinner for the evening. Hope your family enjoys your stay as much as mine, Happy Camping!

Thank you for not price gouging on the washier and dryers like other places we've stayed at. The machines run 40 min, so your close get cleaned like at home. We've been to sites that were 26 min and the close were never rinsed well. The time started as soon as you hit start, but the water wasn't in. Crazy!! These machines are in great shape. We are able to get our laps in and walk our dogs out on the field track. They have a large bark park with seating. There is a pickleball court. It's is close to the highway. There are plenty of places to throw dog poo away and bags are there if you don't have any. The sites have grass for your dogs, trees or bushes, and fire pits. The staff is most friendly and helpful. We would definitely return to this site.

It was really easy to check in though the inn doesn't have a front desk, and my room (#6) was both spacious and exceptionally clean. In fact, my "room" wasn't just one room! I had a bed room, a study, and my own bathroom. The house is within walking distance of WKU and downtown restaurants, and the house boasts a shared modern kitchen as well as state of the art shared laundry facilities. I only stayed for three nights, but one of the other guests I met during my visit was staying there for a couple of months. The house was quiet at night, and there was plenty of hot water for my showers in the morning. During my checkout, I happened to meet the inn's manager, and he was friendly, jolly, and grateful for my business. I would definitely recommend the Tyler Adams House to anyone visiting Bowling Green for a few days, a few weeks, or a few months.
