We have enjoyed staying at Cave Country RV. It has full hookups and a swimming pool. The laundry room only has two washer and dryers, but I had no problem getting in. Thank you for not price gouging on the washier and dryers like other places we've stayed at. The machines run 40 min, so your close get cleaned like at home. We've been to sites that were 26 min and the close were never rinsed well. The time started as soon as you hit start, but the water wasn't in. Crazy!! These machines are in great shape. We are able to get our laps in and walk our dogs out on the field track. They have a large bark park with seating. There is a pickleball court. It's is close to the highway. There are plenty of places to throw dog poo away and bags are there if you don't have any. The sites have grass for your dogs, trees or bushes, and fire pits. The staff is most friendly and helpful. We would definitely return to this site. read more

Very nice RV park, each parking spot is pretty spaced out from others for a little extra privacy, great hookups (15/30/50A) that worked flawlessly, very clean bathrooms/showers, and easily accommodated our very late (~11pm) arrival. Very Very well kept RV park. The couple running the park could not be a better choice! Had all the answers and very friendly and very hard working! They deserve a raise hahaIt's not the largest park with acreage and woods but the sites are large with plenty of room for our 29 ft travel trailer and we were able to park the vehicle in front or back of it! Large FULLY HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE Area in the bathroom with personal shower, sink, and toilet. Which I commend you for. Perfect place to visit mammoth cave! Okay this is an amazing clean,dog friendly beautiful RV campground priced really well. Lovely little clean swimming pool, the dog park is amazing. Lots of dog walking areas all around park. Park has Gym indoors,laundry rooms, clean bathrooms for pool area use. Close,walking distance to Local stores and fast food. This is just an all around wonderful place they collect your trash every morning at 10 am. Staff are amazing. Nice rv park, easy access to rt 65. All sites are pull thru and spacious, level and well maintained. Has a great good Sam rating. The owners were very nice and went out of their way to help us when our motorhome developed an issue and they were able to accommodate us staying an extra night in the same site. Thank you. As part of our Mammoth Cave / Dollywood / Great Smokey Mountains National Forest RV vacation, we stayed at Cave Country RV Campground on day number 2. ​Cave Country RV Campground is self-touted as "Big Rig Friendly" providing pull-through RV sites for the largest RVs to pop-up campers. They are conveniently located off I-65 just 5 miles from Mammoth Cave National Park and it was only a 15 minute drive to the National Corvette Museum. The office had just closed for the day when we arrived, but registering was still fairly easy via the drop box. As soon as we opened it, we found an envelope with our name on it directing us to our site. Everything about this facility showcases how clean it is. The crushed limestone "streets" are perfectly graded with no ruts, as are the crushed limestone sites. The grass, shrubbery and trees are all neatly trimmed. The office was very neat and organized and there were the typical RV campground sundries for sale inside. Also inside was a cardio room in case you wanted to work up a sweat while on vacation. There was also a comfortable sofa, a big-screen TV and a pool table for guest enjoyment. One of the biggest surprises was how impeccably clean the shower house was. The floors were mopped daily, the showers were spotless and all featured locking doors. There was even a large handicapped shower and restroom. On a side note, in case you don't own an RV or trailer, their "Park Model Rental trailer" is available for those who might be in the market for a cabin rental. I've only stayed in a handful of RV parks in the past few years, but this place is a solid choice and I am definitely a fan. read more

Very centrally located to all kinds of super cool places, such as the amazing caves, the Corvette Museum and so mamy more fun and very beautiful attractions. I have never written a negative review before, but you need to know how I was made to feel. I tell this story to warn others, so you don't get treated like I did. Cave Country RV Campground is a nice campground, but if you are looking for a kind, welcoming and respectful host this is not the place to go. I did something I should not have done and broke a campground rule. I parked on the grass for about 10 minutes and I own that! I honestly was not even thinking about what I was doing. I had been camping with my parents all weekend and had my car parked at another campsite on the other side of the park. I drove my car over to my parents RV to load up my luggage and my 2 children along with my infant. I was not thinking about the rule and was only really thinking about my kids giving their grandparents hugs and kisses and getting them into my car safely as there were a lot of RV's and campers leaving the park at this time. An employee drove up on a golf cart, just as I finished loading my kids, and began pointing her finger and yelling at me. She asked, "What are you thinking parking in the grass? Do you not know the rules? If you checked in at the front office then you should know that you can't park on the grass. Why don't you seem to know the rule?" I was repeatedly asked, "What in the world are you thinking?" I felt embarrassed and kept apologizing and telling her I was so sorry and that I just wasn't thinking. I kept repeating how sorry I was while she was berating me in front of my young children. I told her it wouldn't happen again, but that was not enough. She continued to yell at me, pointing her finger at me, and telling me she would be billing my parents if I damaged the grass. It ended with me asking her, "What more could I say besides I'm sorry?" I drove away with my kids crying and scared. I felt bullied. She kept yelling and asking me very belittling questions. She treated me as if I didn't have a brain. After I left, I called my parents and found out that she did the same exact thing to them. I was the one who made the mistake, but my parents had to also deal with her rage. I know now that what I did was wrong but as an adult who also works with the public, I have to let others know that this employee was aggressive, unprofessional and a bully. I felt attacked and I left shaking with girls in the backseat crying. So if you want to visit Cave City Kentucky I would highly recommend you try the other campground up the road. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Mammoth Cave. They are very accommodating, respectful, and professional. read more

Campers, I regret having to write this negative review on Cave Country RV Campground in Cave City, KY, but it is warranted because what happened affected my entire family. It was Labor Day weekend when my daughter and our grandgirls were camping with us. We had three other families in their units camping around us and had a fun and relaxing weekend together. We have stayed at this campground on several occasions over the years and never had an issue until now. On the last day of our visit, as we are attaching our tow vehicle to the RV, a woman drives quickly through the grass on a golf cart and forcefully says, "I'm really upset with your daughter for parking on the grass! The rules clearly state, "Do not park on our grass!" At first I was unclear about what she was accusing her of because my daughter's car had been parked on another friend's site the entire weekend. After listening further and trying to understand why she had so much energy coming at us I began to understand. My daughter had loaded her suitcase and the girls into their car in front of our RV. This employee exclaimed in an extremely disrespectful tone that she watched my daughter drive away from our campsite through the grass. Now, feeling badly and disappointed in my daughter's poor choice, I gave a sincere apology on her behalf and told her I would talk with my daughter regarding this issue. She then tells us that she already spoke to our daughter and continued to scold my husband and I. She stated in a very angry tone, "If there is damage to the grass this will be charged to your credit card!" Her continued discourse went past a friendly reminder, caution and/or a stern warning. The continued lecture quickly turned into bullying. I'm not sure if you want to stay here or not, while we take responsibility that our daughter was in the wrong, it was overwhelmingly obvious that relationships and customer service take a backseat to mistakes, a poor choice and the conditions of their grass. After all, we did nothing wrong, but were reprimanded profusely beyond caution or a warning. I have a picture where the grass laid over from my daughter's tire tracks. I also have a picture where the grass laid over because she drove down the length of our 40 foot RV in her golf cart to scold us. They look the same other than the width of the tire and the length of the tracks. Also, I need to let you know we've been around the block a few times in the last 35 years of camping. I have seen sod jobs where an RV drops off the road and into the grass, but this was not the case here. By the way, it also states in the rules (#18 to be exact) "Please tell others about your stay here at Cave Country RV Campground by commenting on mobilerving, goodsams, rvparkreviews, etc." So, we're just trying to follow their rules so you can decide for yourself if you would like to stay here or not, but should you choose to stay heed the warning, "Stay off the grass!" read more

This is our second time here. We absolutely love this place! Their facilities are super clean, very well kept grounds, laundry is very affordable (1.50 either w/d), bathhouse is phenomenal!!! We travel in our rv around the US and Canada for a living and I can say this is one of the better rv parks we've ever been to. The only downside they have is that they have what families in the full time rv community call a "kid-tax" (charge of $3.50 for each kid. We had three adults and two children.) They could do well to get rid of that since they don't have a pool, playground, or other "kid things" in the park. Some families view this as a deterrent to having families stay in certain parks. I truly hope that's not the park owners intentions here. There's plenty to do down the road, and our kids are happy just sitting and chilling by the fire or hanging out in their bunks reading and playing board games. Next time we pass through Mammoth Cave area, we will be staying here again! Hopefully, they will give a second thought to the added charge for kids. read more

Very clean, well maintained RV PARK WITH level gravel sites, very groomed streets and pads! All the amenities you could ask for in an RV Park with very gracious Owners/Hosts. Wide gravel internal street system and propane service. 51- ALL PULL THROUGH SITES. Dog Park, Swimming Pool, Laundry, Bathroom, Showers, Exercise/Game Room! Close proximity (30-45 min) to almost every cave in Kentucky, use down the street from Mammoth Cave. Very easy access, within minutes of the highway. A railroad track is off to the east southeast, but far enough to not be a bust, we actually slept better because of the train and we were on that side of the park. We will be back! read more

Everything was so nice and well-maintained! I was greeted by a very friendly lady at the desk, who also helped me with a glitch using our GS discount. We were still winterized, so we needed the bathhouse for showering and bathroom trips. It was SO CLEAN, with Christmas music playing! No leveling needed and the grounds are taken care of. This is a very clean and organized park but you diffenatly pay for it. We stayed one night and was charged twice on our card. We reported the mistake the next day and was assured it would be taken care of. Two days later we were credited a partial amount. WE were charged $10 for their mistake. Did not use any of their facilities so cannot say what they were like but for paying over $60 for a night in an RV park was to much for me so we will not be returning. read more

Beautiful little RV campground! We stayed here for 2 weeks and it was clean and well maintained. Their pool, laundry room and bathhouses stayed clean the entire time. The grounds were very well landscaped as well. The staff were also very friendly. Only downside, which is not their fault, was that they are situated next to a train track. A loud train would come through at all hours of the day and night. But otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back! read more

Nice little place. Roomy gravel level sites, each with picnic tables and fire rings. Tidy park, nice little general store, and pleasant helpful staff. I didn't see a pool, but that's not a priority for me on this trip. Easiest access from a freeway I have experienced. Small town area, but it has a grocery store and some chain restaurants nearby. 5 miles from mammoth caves which is nice. We're here on the off season so it's pretty quiet. The only drawback is that there are train tracks very near and it can get noisy as they pass, but it's not constant noise. I would come back here, as it's a great stop at a perfect location for one of our annual trips. read more

We stayed as part of our Mammoth Cave trip. Very clean bathrooms and park. Perfect for what it is: a one or two night stay while visiting and seeing the sights. If you are looking for a state park sort of feel this isn't it. There is a train and busy roadway close by - but like I said this isn't a state park - it is a place to park your rv so that you can go and take in the sights. Really liked the dog park and they are putting in a small pool which is a nice add. read more

A good roadside stop. The RV park was a very easy hike from the highway and it is obviously well-maintained. The lady working the front desk when we got there was very friendly. The grounds were well manicured but there wasn't much personality to it. The spaces are nice and long (no need to unhook for a short stop), and a comfortable enough width for few days.
