Wonderful experience at the welcome center desk! Friendly, kind and informative liaison! Clean bathrooms and beautifully manicured picnic areas outside as well. A true example of Kentucky hospitality!

Rest Stop on I-65 in Horse Cave KY

On I-65 between Louisville and Bowling Green, I stopped at the southbound one today. There is another directly opposite. Clean, airy and with restrooms that had recently been attended to. There was no litter in the parking lot or inside. The parking lot is almost straight through, meaning that some folks haven't quite bled off an appropriate amount of highway velocity before entering. It is straight back onto the highway with a local acceleration ramp. [Review 13599 overall, 918 of 2020.]

A few Picnic tables by the snack & vending machines. Wide open spaces to roam, walk your pets etc.

Great rest stop! Spacious, clean and plenty of vending machines to choose from. Great views. Just miles away from Mammoth Cave and the National Corvette Museum

As far as rest stops go... this one is NICE. The building itself has a more elegant feel than many I've stopped at this year. It was clean, and had newer facilities. I didn't stop to chat with the info desk ladies, but there were two of them and they were helping a short line of people. Definitely a good spot for a bathroom break and some walking around. (Nice landscaping that I saw!)

If friendly staff are a must for you, you might consider this hotel. Staff were not overly or obnoxiously friendly, but they weren't rude either. If a nice, well thought out, and creatively presented breakfast is a must for you, you will definitely want to look elsewhere. We are here for 3 nights and the breakfast is always the same. You have your choice of up to 4 small waffles or 1 large waffle. You can then choose from Orange or Apple juice. At the next stop, you may choose between fruit loops cereal or Post Raisin Bran. You will then find a basket of red apples, with the store sticker still on them (indicating they have not been washed). For the last stop, the offerings are banana/strawberry or peach flavored yogurts. It's like Ground Hog day, the same offerings day after day. We chose not to utilize housekeeping (we just swapped out our towels), but the same guy running the breakfast is the housekeeper as well. Overall, the beds were comfortable and the stay was pleasant.

We got a king suite with jacuzzi. The bed was WONDERFULLY comfortable. The jacuzzi was such a treat. The jets worked as they should. Our walk-in shower is awesome. If we come to cave city again, we'll be staying there! Thanks Lena!
