The tour guide completely ignored the people in the seats in the back of the bus.The first 3 days she didn't use the PA system even though she was repeatedly told her announcements couldn't be heard at the back of the bus. Answers to any "fun quizzes" were always acknowledged by the people in front though people in the back would indicate that they also knew the answer. Apparently she regarded any comments as complaints to the extent that she loudly announced to a full restaurant that " I can never satisfy them, they are always complaining". I had always heard positive reports regarding this company before purchasing a tour but NEVER again. read more

Worst travel experience ever. Largely due to the guide. Gary began by telling us all about his great reviews and how people say he is "so funny". He thinks he is funny. He is not, he is extremely annoying. he talked much too much, even during the so-called quiet time. He played to the women near the front who laugheed at everything he said. One day he was chit chatting with the driver, while our great driver was in control of a large vehicle with 35 people aboard! Do not distract our driver with pointless conversation. He shoved his religion in our faces, a captive audience, for three days. Yes, the website says that each day is started with a devotion. But he started with a prayer, added a "devotion" that sounded like a sermon later, grace before each stop where a meal was involved, played gospel music on Sunday morning, followed by a religious movie that no one was watching, The people around me talked a lot and simply raised their voices to talk over the movie. The noise level was stressful. To top it off, after a stupid bingo game where everyone was getting a prize, I did not get a prize. (I did not care, for the record). So he gives me a plastic Jesus and tells me I can be saved. Does he know what my religious beliefs are? Arrogant, presumptuous, insulting. He persisted in grilling a young boy - the only youth on our trip- about the denomination of his church. The boy was not answering and Gary did not let up. We were told to "read the itinerary" if we asked questions about times. He called me out by name over the mic when I asked. And then changed the departure time once he thought about it. When he was using the mic, he would stand facing the back, and often stand at my row, taking a half step into my already very tight leg space. When his leg was against mine, I moved as best I could. So did he. I regret not grabbing that mic and calling him out on his obnoxious behavior. Too many silly games, too much talking, too many stand up comedian attempts. I just wanted to talk to my friend and read my book. The bus, despite being new - the guide has us guessing how much it cost. seriously? - has bare bones amenities. The seats are equivalent to economy plane seats, no back support, tight leg room, no WiFi. I unfortunately had a front seat but the people in the back said they could not hear most of what the guide was saying. The food was abysmal - truck stops, food trucks, and Crackerbarrel where I had the worst meal of the three days. The itinerary was fine; I don't expect to love every stop on a set itinerary tour. Our driver was great - Darren was efficient, professional, and very pleasant. CT will never see me again. read more

I have taken 2 trips with Christian Bus Tours. While there were some aspects that were not as thrilling as I had hoped, the overall experience was great. The tour guides and the bus drivers were well informed and as courteous as could be. Reading a few reviews, I can understand that if someone sat near the back of the bus and had very little engagement, they might feel differently. My wife and I are already planning our next trip. read more

t.o.rouse was the best driver very courteous and helpful. i took the hudson valley tour package ...to much walking to get where we needed to be, our tour guide said food was good where we intended to eat showmars offers better food. hotel on friday night elavotor was out some people had to drag luggage up to 4TH floor. i felt like we backtracked to get to hotel in poughkeepsi. there should have been a hotel closer to manhatten. hudson valley tour was a big disappointment. the buffeut at wast point was cold. the food at the victorion house was very tasteless and chicken was tough..my seat back was not padded and i had to place my jacket behibd my back for comfort. i have a one day trip planned in december planning to give to someone else read more

Pacific Coast Adventures, Christian Tours, Maiden, NC. The travel to the airport, we made on time, as to time we were told by the tour group to arrive. But I feel the tour company did not allow enough time for the airport. We missed 12 hours of time for the first day of trip. We purchased the travel insurance, but the insurance did not cover 12 hours of missed time. Since we met the deadlines in time, requested for us to arrive. We spent 12 hours in the airport which is not a vacation. I would give a 5 star for the remaining tour. The places we saw were very good. The bus and tour director did a great job. We enjoyed the places stayed and the sites we saw. Hotels at some places were good, some might not receive even a 3-star rating. The trip to the airport home should have gotten to the airport earlier. The plane was held to get all 40 of the tour on board. If I were planning another trip with Christian Tours from Maiden NC, I would not plan a fly trip. And I would not buy their insurance with ARCHinsurance. The tour company said they would advocate for helping with insurance but we have not received anything. read more

Never would I recommend them! They are snippy, rude and treat people poorly. I had heard this before but decided to go with a group to the Ark in Kentucky. I did not receive a brochure as I should have and when I called to get the information I needed they were extremely rude. There are many Christian tours available and I would say try anyone else! We had scheduled a trip to Greece in April, 2022. I paid a deposit of $1,400 in the fall with the balance due on Dec 23. I delayed payment of this balance assuming that Christian Tours would cancel the trip based on the fact that the US State Department had placed Greece on the Category 4 list, LEVEL 4 - DO NOT TRAVEL. I received a call on Jan 21 wanting me to pay the balance. I asked why the trip had not been cancelled in light of the above guidance from the State Department. The agent I spoke with said Greece was "open for travel" and had no knowledge of this official guidance, and in fact, I had to give her the URL to the State Department Travel link. I was surprised that a travel company did not know about these two important sources in these days of COVID. She logged on to that link while I was on the phone. I was told that that caution was "today". The trip is in April. Things could change. I told her we would not be making that trip due to the Covid guidance above. She again asked for the remaining payment. I asked if my deposit could be rolled to the same trip next year. She refused. I lost my $1,400. She did state that the penalty date was Dec 23 and that I had called on Dec 20 noting the Category 4 classification and asking if the trip was going to be cancelled. We have taken many trips with Christian Tours over the years and have recommended them to others. No more. She told me she would remove us from the mailing list. There is nothing Christian about this company except the name. The people are unfriendly and clannish. They don't want to help people even a little that need help with luggage or diet. They favor couples to singles who are treated badly. Many of their trips go to the same places so you see the same places several times to cover all 50 states. Meals in places like Cracker Barrell and other chains instead of local nice restaurants. Their idea of the best place in Denver to eat is a fried chicken dump. Unwelcoming and not what my daughter and I had expected from a Christian company. We happily stopped by their beautiful facility for information only to be followed by an unmarked pickup truck and confronted by a woman who got out and wanted to know why we were there. We were in a new family car and properly dressed during broad daylight so I don't know why they followed or confronted us. There were many cars and people in their lot as it was afternoon. A woman got out of the truck and informed us rudely that the office was closed and we could look their tours up online... and by this time the driver had pulled their truck in front of us and blocked us from leaving. My daughter was terrified and kept asking me to leave under her breath. When we finally got out of there we looked them up only to find that this woman that had followed us, blocked our exit, and rudely told us to leave was their customer service person Heather! We've shared our experience with our church family and friends and are now sharing it with you. We did not feel safe with these people and we aren't the kind of people to pay people to be phony-nice to us. We can only say "BEWARE". read more

I will start by saying that our coachman and safety officer was excellent. The motor coach and ride was fine. However this is the second trip with Christian tours that we have been put in substandard hotel situations. I am not sure if this is standard booking or low, low budget booking. I would have been fine to spend extra money to get into a better environment. For the price we paid to go we should have not had to contend with dirty rooms, bedbugs, mice and excessive noise from jack hammering from construction. It is not hard to find hotel ratings on the internet. read more
