Meme was AMAzING! Lovely, funny, attentive and very kind. (5 stars for him!) Fast seating/accommodation. Courtesy chips/salsa/queso was great, free refills Only main issue is we sat at the bar and didn't see 1 cocktail poured or made at the bar. All were made in the back and brought to us. Beer was poured for guests at bar but no cocktails. This makes me uncomfortable for what am I actually drinking? Not being able to see it made makes me question amount if alcohol and what is actually being served vs what is on menu listed. Both of our drinks didn't taste like any tequila at all (cucumberito & Paloma from menu). I asked for an additional thought but again it was poured from the back and brought to me no idea what it was. Would not return for that reason. I love this place. The food is amazing, but the music they play is entirely too loud. You go to a place like this to enjoy the food and the company of your family, yet you have a hard time hearing anything other than the hip hop playing over the speakers. Yuck. Coagulated cheeses. Barely warm tortillas. Off-tasting potatoes.... left most of our food on our plates. The only good things were the spicy salsa and the creamy corn. read more

Stopped in on a Sunday for lunch... it's a large restaurant with lots of seating options, from bar (with TVs), table, booth, and even patio seating. Service was exceptional - orders were taken quickly, chips, tortillas, salsa, and queso came promptly - as did refills. She also brought out a hotter salsa on request. The chips were thin, which I prefer - very good. Salsa was very mild, so definitely try the hotter sauce. My wife had the birria tacos, which she loved. I had the Peruvian ceviche, which was very good too - super tart, but came with corn and sweet potato which complemented the ceviche. With an expansive menu, I look forward to returning and trying some chicken fajitas. read more

Went there while visiting my daughters. Food was very tasty and the service was great. Our server Meme was attentive, polite and quick. I had the Mexican plate, two chicken enchiladas, chicken tamale and sides of rice and beans also came with a side of guacamole. Enchiladas had a sour cream sauce - very good. My daughters had the Bierles and tacos and were quite pleased. The restaurant is clean with a Hispanic motif. If you're visiting Moore - I recommend you check it out. read more

We were visiting relatives in Moore, and wanted to go out for Mexican food. We thought we'd give this location a try. I don't know how this business model works, because it seemed like every time I turned around they were bringing out more "free" items for our table.The chips don't come with just salsa, you get queso, and all sorts of other types of sauces to go with it. I wanted to order the taco meal, and they offer it on the menu with a "light" version. I recently suffered through a bout of food poisoning a few days earlier, so I was nervous about eating anything spicy, so I ordered the light version. The waiter tried to dissuade me of that option, pointing out that they only reduce the price a dollar, but they remove so many things from the option that it doesn't make sense pricewise. Even though I agreed with his logic, I didn't want to waste food, so I went with the light version anyway. The food was well cooked, delicious, and came out of the kitchen quickly. The soft drinks are enormous, so you don't really need to get refills. The restaurant is bright and colorful, and as a whole, our experience was very enjoyable. First off Meme as well as Lucero did a fantastic job taking care of me and my wife tonight. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent as usual. The restaurant was clean and in good order. We never have a bad experience at Hidalgos in Moore. Obviously management is good here because it's a trickle down effect. I had the shredded chicken nachos and my wife had the taco bowl. We were very pleased with our dinner. Keep doing what you're doing here and we will keep coming! read more

We had company from out of state, Thought we would go out to lunch eat. We have eaten here several times. Then last night I ate a Pablo Chili Relleno and within an hour I was vomiting and had severe diarrhea. Called my doctor and I have food poisoning!! read more

Absolutely delicious! First time coming to Hidalgo's and the entire experience was amazing. Attentive and friendly staff and management. They treated us to some of the menu items and they were all delicious! Tacos crispy, shredded beef tender and flavorful, and chicken enchiladas with yummy sour cream sauce. Food is good. Prices are super expensive. We went with a larger group (9) and made a reservation. Manager came by to check on us to see how we were, but not once out of the time my group was there, did we get offered drinks refills, or asked if we needed anything after we got our orders. read more

Love love love Hidalgo's! The service is fast, friendly, and attentive. Small or large groups, you'll get the best service! The food is very tasty! I appreciate all the complimentary salsas, queso's, relishes, chips, and tortillas. I love their queso's the best! I ordered the salad and it was so so good! I would order this again and change the combinations of toppings to try different things. If you're a soda lover this is your place, the cups are LARGE- I was in Dr Pepper heaven! The decor has a fun, modern vibe w/ bright colors, neon word displays. After a certain hour, they dim the lights a bit to not be so bright when the suns going down. Terrible customer service! Watched them try to seat patrons at dirty tables. When patrons complained, they insisted it was clean, just cluttered with extra stuff. Tortillas were cold/old. Had to request new ones and wait for my meal to get cold before the tortillas finally came around. The staff attitude was the worst. I've never seen anything like it around here. Everyone seemed to be irritated to work. Do us a favor, if the place is that miserable to work at, close it down. read more

I gave 3 stars because 2.5 is not an option and I'm not looking to just beat up on someone. Let's talk about the music.. I'm sorry but I don't think it could be turned up any louder! It has always been loud and sadly in my opinion obnoxious, but at 11AM on a Sunday!?!?! Someone had to have complained because it finally did get turned down to a respectable volume halfway through our meal. Food- I know prices have risen but $16.99 for "6 flautas" which when it came was really 3 corn tortillas cut in half. Nothing at all like the picture in yelp. Most certainly not worth even a $12.99 price tag. The corn was good but the beans were sad. The fry oil needs to be changed too, the chips were not great since they were in that oil, cheese sauce was really good but salsa had zero flavor. Payment - after sitting and waiting between 5 and 10 minutes since our table had been cleaned off (and they were not busy) the waiter brought the check. Next he proceeded to hand us the iPad type checkout which is faster and convenient, but stands over you while you are trying to review and determine a tip. This place is amazing! Great natural light, beautiful decor, fun atmosphere! Everyone was very kind also. They offer complimentary chips, tortillas, salsa, queso, and ranch dip with every meal- that's something I've not seen at any other place. My husband really liked the queso and salsa. He had the Mexican meal with rice and steamed veggies. He said that the flavors were spot on, the rice was cooked perfectly. I had the chimichanga, chicken, with rice and beans. The chicken- wow!! so tender and juicy! I've never been to a Mexican restaurant and had such an amazing meal! We had the cheesecake for dessert, it was Valentine's Day and the plate was decorated with heart shaped sauce- such a sweet gesture! I was really excited to try hildago's, but I was thoroughly disappointed. the service was fast but really poor- our server never really met eyes with us (he was watching the tv while asking for our drinks and order), and we just got the vibes that he didn't care to take care of us. he didn't check up on us ONCE, so that was disheartening. we ordered the nachos to start, and it was not what we were expecting. granted they were tasty, they are just not what you would expect to see when ordering nachos (see picture). for my meal, I ordered the quesa-birrias which I was excited about, but it was not very flavorful. my "creamy corn" just looked and tasted like plain corn, so that was disappointing too. overall, I had high hopes, but was just unsatisfied by the food, the prices, and the service. read more

Pollo Ranchero - Only 1 Chicken Breast... Menu in the restaurant lists two chicken breasts, Yelp photo says chicken *breasts* - (plural) and seems to show two topped chucken breasts in the image. I received one chicken breast sliced mostly in half (still attached). Only one side had toppings on it. Maybe they dropped the other one or didn't cook enough? The plate was not generous. It was like a lunch plate. I actually chose this meal so I could take half home for later. I saw heaping platters in the restaurant, but mine definitely wasn't. My order was Pollo Ranchero with Mexican mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. There were two strips of peppers and 3 separated pieces of onion along with an unseparated wedge of onions. " The mashed potatoes were a small scoop. The vegetables were a smaller scoop. And one regular sized chicken breast, sliced in half, topped only on one side. Based on this experience, I do not recommend. Next time, I will choose Alfredo's - one block over. read more

The best beers around!!! We have been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years ( the original location in Edmond) and they never disappoint! Even though we came to the Moore location the beers and food still hit the spot. Very nice staff and customer service. I always love looking the art work around me. You'll see that there is a mix of people around, couples, large families, and people at the bar. I ordered the quesa birria and hubby ordered the pollo ranchero. Both were good and we always chow down on the set up of chips and all the dips. We love it! Don't forget to save room for the sopapilla after your dinner. read more
