This place is decorated so beautifully and the people are incredibly warm and welcoming. Our waiter was all smiles and very kind. The chips, salsa, and queso were excellent and our food was really good. The thing that really made me fall in love with Casa Blanca is that they brought my husband a piece of Tres Leches cake and told him "Happy Father's Day!" He was surprised and very happy! We found this place through Yelp while visiting Oklahoma. The place did not disappoint us. We ordered dos steak fajitas which was plenty. I ate the leftovers two times. Our server Jadyn was very friendly and had beautiful smile. The place was nicely decorated and had a bar but we didn't order any drinks. Place wasn't very busy, we decided to try it. The testa is beautiful on the inside and clean. Byron our waiter, held the door for us, in the way in and when we were leaving. He was very attentive and food was delicious. The menu is pretty large with lot of variety. We will definitely be coming back. The complimentary salsa and chips were so yummy. I sadly didn't get any pictures but wow, was this place disappointing. A beautiful building, both inside and out, and that is where the compliments end. Pros: clean. Complimentary chips and salsa. Cons: outrageously priced, flavorless, cold, slow service, oh, and did I mention flavorless? From the flautas, to the burrito it was so bland and just plain not good. Neither the flautas nor burrito came with rice and beans, those must cost extra. I also don't love that the receipt isn't itemized so who knows what all I paid for. Just know it was $78 worth of the most under seasoned food I've ever had. Way too many Mexican restaurants in Norman that far exceed this one. read more

Great atmosphere and overall vibe -- definitely a spot that looks and feels nice when you walk in. The drinks were a solid 10/10, very well made and enjoyable. Service was also great; staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience pleasant. The food, however, was about a 6-7 out of 10 at best. It wasn't bad, just kind of mid compared to how impressive everything else was. I really hope they improve the food because this place has a lot of potential and the setting deserves dishes that match the quality of the drinks and atmosphere. My brother tried this place and loved it and wanted to come here for his birthday dinner. Maybe it was the way he hyped it up that I was expecting really high quality and authentic Mexican food. The outside looks very upscale, but inside there are huge TV's on all the walls and pleather teal booths. The menu is massive and it's one of the few places I have seen in Norman that serve Molcajetes and Jamaica. They have a lot of fish dishes, but it's all tilapia based. We are not near the ocean, so I guess that is the most cost effective way to prepare a fish entree. The chips were good, but the salsa looked like Pace Picante sauce. Having lived in Southern California for so long, this just isn't my type of "Mexican food". The service was excellent - Courtney is a great waitress. read more

Average at best. I had the chicken with chorizo. While it was tasty, the portion was rather small. The beans were not good and had hot dogs cut up into them. Had the chimichanga and enchilada dishes. Both were good. The salsa was not very good it had the consistency of marinara. The queso was good but it's not free, it was five bucks. They do not give away free sopapillas. We did order the churros and they were very good. The corn side dish was bland and not very good, it was not the creamy Mexican corn. Service was a little slow but they were very busy, the staff was very friendly and professional. We did think that the menu was reasonably priced and they even gave me a military discount! The best part was the food (yay!) but the service was pretty terrible from the start. There was only one other table occupied when I got there at 8pm on a Monday night. I walked in and two workers saw me standing at the hostess stand and didn't move. A third only moved when I made eye contact with him. I sat down, ordered quickly, and got my food quickly! But my waiter never came back during my meal and my waiter was empty for about half of the time. Not only that, I couldn't even see my waiter for that half of the meal. Other waiters walked by me and didn't offer to help. I was in and out in about 30 minutes but I'm not sure I'll be back because the entire experience was kind of awkward. read more

Okay, I'm going to "feedback sandwich" this review. We opened with delicious salsa and chips in a beautiful restaurant with friendly staff. But then, chaos ensued. I ordered a margarita and it tasted like cheap tequila mix with a splash of Cointreau in it. Worse, it was $10. I thought "when life gives you lemons, make it top shelf." So I ordered a top shelf marg. Unfortunately what came was the exact same horrible margarita with a Patron shot floater - NOW $16!!!! Clearly this place is not the place you go for a delicious, or value-conscious margarita. (Their happy hour: 2pm-5pm M-F; is $5.99 frozen margs). The experience was saved by a great plate of steak and chicken fajitas, but the fact is that you should probably just order tap water, since Norman water is better tasting than their drinks. read more

Casa Blanca is a breath of fresh air! These owners mean business. They too a long vacant Italian restaurant and transformed it into a high end Mexican Restaurant that is gorgeous throughout! A beautiful bar with colorful murals, white marble tile and TVs everywhere. Smiling faces greeted us and sat us quickly and we had chips, delicious salsa and drinks before we knew it. The menu is full of traditional Mex & Tex-Mex dishes! We had Tacos that were served with a special salsa on a really cool wooden tray designed to keep the tacos upright. I had Birria Tacos that melted in my mouth that was served with a rich consume, fresh onions and cilantro. The portions were surprisingly large and filling. We had a Flaco Margarita that had a deep flavor profile that was vey tasty and we finished the meal with a sweet Flan that had a very appealing presentation of chocolate drizzle and whipped cream. Not a good experience and food was barely warm and not very tasty! Got there about 3pm and they sat us in a side room which looked nice. We were the only people in that room, after our waiter took our order which was a bit confusing to communicate with, he came back with a large mop and began mopping the entire floor, after he got right up to our table he came back with a fan next to our table to dry the floor. Salsa is ok but ask for some of their hot salsa if you like it spicier. I mixed some spicy with the one they bring to your table and it was great.
