Always delicious. Always fresh. To me, these are the best in town. Any doubts? Start with the al pastor tacos or mulitas and work your way around the menu!

We had to stop in at this new-ish authentic Mexican spot in town. Some of the menu items are a very good value. Flavor overall were pretty good. They have a great variety of fresh salsas that help boost it, full bottles plopped down right on your table. Mmm, that creamy green one is especially yummy. My chimichanga was only $3.99, seriously. It was a good size too, not huge-huge, but just the right size. Flavor wasn't mindblowing, it was pretty good -- it was simple, but had more asada steak than I thought it would, along with refried beans inside. Asada was steaky in flavor like a fajita, cut into large cubes, it could have been a bit more tender. Chimi came smothered in a queso that made me think cheap Velveeta (add some chiles pls). But I'd order it again, for a cheap meal on the go. Adding sides of beans and rice doubles the price. And for some odd reason a regular burrito costs $6.95. I've also had their carnitas mulitas, which was basically a half-sized quesadilla and pretty filling for only $3.50. Carnitas plentiful and tender with good flavor. An order of sopapillas are a must here, come 2 per order for $1.49, and are completely covered in cinnamon & sugar -- soft, flaky, very tasty, with a cup of thinned honey to dip in. My husbands cherry chimichanga was premade and hard to eat without a plate to cut it on. The crispy shell had turned chewy and the canned cherries became a bit strong and overwhelming after a few bites. But it was a unique concept, only $2.99, and definitely has potential with some recipe tweaks. There are also other flavors such as peach and apple. No water cups, only bottled water (grr). Ooo, and my biggest pet peeve..No plates. Just paper trays like with gas station food. I debated dropping half a star just for this, since it makes food harder to eat. The family running the place is very friendly, but their super cute kids are all over the place, taking up space and tables in an already small dining room. We were forced to watch YouTube gaming videos on their TV the entire time. They also need to work on the cleanliness some. All of the tables had previous meal spillage on them. Plus the floors are movie theater sticky. Decor is so done on the cheap, it's both funny and endearing, with lots of Pancho Villa and random family and Biblical quotes hung all around. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall kinda place. So if I lived nearby would I be a regular here? Quite possibly...But probably just for takeout. 3.5 stars.

Best Mexican food we've had so far .Authentic fresh and delicious. We especially loved that they made me flautas on request. They are not on the menu but the cook knows Mexican food and was able to do them for me. Another factor we loved was all the home made sauces..very Authentic. Even the tortillas were homemade Loved it. Note this is a classic hole in the wall.. nothing fancy except the part that counts.. the food!! No fluff.. just delicious food served with kindness

La Reina De Los Tacos - Truly the Queen! Feeling festive and really wanting some tacos (a little more authentic and simple) then La Reina will not disappoint. They have multiple ways to order online or over the phone/in-person. The ladies at the counter are super friendly and the food was ready in no time. I ordered 24 tacos and it took less than 20 minutes to be ready (everything was hot and fresh). If you order the family packs (12 tacos) they will accommodate for a mix/match if you ask. They use double tortillas and load up with the meats (onions and cilantro are optional). Your choice of meats and flour or corn tortillas. I don't think the (corn) tortillas are homemade but it doesn't matter because the meat fillings are so flavorful. My favorite was the barbacoa - tender and moist, very delicious. The steak and Al pastor were equally good but the carnitas were a bit plain compared to the other meats and they could have been a bit less dry. Even with that, it was still amazing. Load up on The fresh Red and Green salsas, especially if you get the carnitas. The family was super satisfied (I was a bit nervous that they wouldn't like them because they are used to fast food tacos, but they loved them - especially the steak tacos). You can't go wrong here and it's a great value for homemade family style street tacos that are really wonderful.

Tarahumara's Mexican Cafe & Cantina 05/01/2026…read more (5/5) The food here is absolutely amazing! I ate at Tarahumara's about a week ago with my co-workers, and I was so blown away that I had to bring my wife and girls back for a second visit. The shrimp cocktail was massive--so fresh and flavorful--though the shrimp could be a bit smaller to make them easier to handle. I had Diego's meal, with a substitution of 2 chicken enchiladas with sour cream and one beef enchilada with red sauce. My wife ordered a shrimp dish with garlic butter, and it was a huge plate she thoroughly enjoyed. I also have to mention their relish is incredible, and they start you off with chips and white queso instead of yellow, which is a really nice touch. The sour cream sauce is excellent. This place is a must-visit, and we can't wait to come back again.

They don't give you any time at all before they're coming to refill your drinks and salsa.. Love the green salsa! However, we were seated right I'mnext to the bar and that seemed to be the place where the waiters congregated. I don't like to feel crowded or have people staring at me when I'm eating lol The waiter tried to clear my friends plate 4 times while he was still eating.. the fifth time he just gave up and let him take his plate. Sopapilla was cold and tough today.

Service is friendly and welcoming, happy to answer any questions. The food is excellent. We chose the elote, quesabirria, and torta de pastor. The food tasted very fresh and came with generous portions. The quesabirria consommé was rich in flavor and the tacos themselves were perfectly seasoned and portioned. The torta was incredible with fresh veggies and two delicious sauces. The elote was also well prepared. The restaurant also has a large selection of aguas frescas, paletas, and ice cream. We had the jamaica agua fresca to drink and it was wonderful. There are also a variety of interesting snacks for the younger crowd with the expected Doritos, Hot Cheetos, and Takis variants. Easily accessible parking out front, or you can park at the park across the street. They accept cash or card (card with a small upcharge). The young man at the front spoke both English and Spanish. We greatly enjoyed our visit and will return.
