Not only have the people at Furs a Flying taken on this challenge of a dog, but they have also never been unkind or judgmental about him. If you have a difficult dog, you know that even among dog professionals, you are often confronted with people who are not very sympathetic or understanding. I have been going to Furs a Flying for about three years now and am very grateful for their work. Here is a before and after. They are often booked up, so you have to plan ahead, but I think it's completely worth it to have great haircuts and the peace of mind of knowing your dog is in such good hands.

Upon calling, the owners were clueless as to how it happened and claimed it just happened as I arrived to pick him up. He needed veterinary assistance. Come to find out, he was attacked by another dog. His bite wounds were infected and the vet told us they were not fresh wounds, they were 1-2 days old!! Yes, things like this happen when dogs are together. However, the poor customer service, contradictions, and unprofessionalism do not. I was told by the owner's daughter that both the cost of his stay plus his $120 vet bill would be refunded. However, when we arrived with the vet bill, it was a different story. I was told he received good care. Walking around bleeding with wounds on his head and neck does not equate to "good care" to me!! I was also told they would not be in business if they paid for the vet bill, yet they claimed this is the first time this had ever happened- go figure that one out!! Our dog will never receive any type of services here again. In addition, all of our dog owning friends/ coworkers of the state of MA and US military will be advised to never deal with this business again, as will all local veterinarians. If you want your dog to be in a supervised environment with professional staff who follow through on their statements, this is not the place for you!!

It's nice to leave her in a small, family-run place that feels more like a home than a kennel. Knowing she is happy makes a get away that much more enjoyable.
