I found this RV Park by doing a search and looking at their website. The amenities listed full RV hookups. When I arrived I was told there was no sewer. As I was parking I almost decided to leave because it was basically a big grassy area with electrical posts backed up against the freeway. I decided to stay. When I took my dog for a walk, I passed by the bathrooms and decided to look inside. What a mess. It smelled like cigarettes, the garbage can was over flowing, it was dark, dank and nasty. Since I hadn't paid yet, I went back and told my mom we were leaving. I got onto wifi and found another place. I will never stop there again and will strongly warn anyone else!! they actually deserve no stars read more

I found this PV park with Cabins online. The pictures show some cute little cabins. We decided to give it a try. Within 30 minutes of being there my oldest son came to show me his arm had about 6-8 fleas!! Yes FLEAS! We immediately packed up and got out of there ASAP! This happened to be a holiday weekend so it took us about 3 hours to find somewhere else to stay. That night my youngest started crying that he was itchy. Pulled off his shirt and he is covered in flea bites! DO NOT STAY HERE! read more

The management is nonexistent! They just can't keep the place quite or clean!! The place is loud and full of obnoxious people. The bathrooms are in terrible shape with mold growing on the ceiling!! There are sites that are full of trash, it just looks dumpy!! Save yourself the time and money and find some other place to stay! read more

I have been coming to this park since the late 1970's... I recently went back after being absent for about 14 years... Although the park is not 100% as I remember it, it is still a really great place... While I was there the owner and the new manager were both constantly working on the park (They have had some manager related problems until recently)... The owner (TIM) is a great guy who has just personally had to step in and get the park back into shape... He with the new manager Janelle were constantly working to better this park the whole week + we stayed... (We rented one of their cabins) the whole time they were attentive and wanted to make sure we were enjoying our stay... Not to mention asking EVERY TIME they saw us, they asked "If we needed anything", and "Please let us know if we can be of any service"... These people truly care about this park and want to get it back into shape... We had a BLAST the whole time we were there... The park is under renovation to get it back to it's glory days... We are already planning a return trip next year... I can't wait to see how the place comes together... For me, This place is like a second home... I spent weeks every summer here in this park with my grand parents and parents... Some of the best times of my life were spent not only in the area, but in that park itself... It's not real expensive, it's quite, and the surrounding area is some of the most beautiful scenery you are going to find in the country... read more

A local to this area for 40 years, I never heard of this park, when I had to rent a couple cabins there a couple of times on several occasions. I had no other choice as all the other RV parks were full, and the lack of any laundry facility and very spotty internet were a problem. The staff seemed friendly enough, however, very young and bad mouthed the owner to the point of awkwardness.The monthly rate of $1,300.00 plus a $500.00 deposit was steep, $10.00 per dog per month and a "transient tax fee of 10%"?But as the inside was clean and well maintained, and the sheets and towels were clean and the cable was great, and the location to the store and bus lines made it easy, we stayed. To our dismay. We saw people throwing buckets of what they claimed "loudly" was their human waste as their toilet was broken. When we mentioned this to management they said they knew of the problem, yet sadly could do nothing. The smell for 5 days was so bad we had to stay in town with friends. The bathrooms have mold and only ONE shower and ONE toilet work for the entire park. There is obvious drug dealing at dark into the early morning. The sheriff patrol the park with spotlights and it is very scary, especially if you have children. Don't waste your money or in danger your family at this nightmare of a "park". Its very sad as it could be such a cute place if they just had the right management....Waste management also would be a HUGE help as there are NO sewer hook ups for any overnight guests. Only about ten spaces have sewer hook ups. Cameras everywhere, but no actual park help anywhere to be found after four in the afternoon. read more

I dont ever write bad reviews about businesses but for hidden creek rv, i felt compelled to to warn tourists in search of a fun happy vacation against this place. Me and my family made reservations for a cabin at the park for the labor day weekend, we decided a little late about going on this vacation and our regular choices in trinidad were all booked up, when we found hidden creek we were excited that we found a place to stay, the website had very nice pictures and we figured we had gotten lucky, my brother in law and family were also looking so i told them they should give hidden creek a call and they got 2 cabins with a shared courtyard and a hot tub. When we were driving to hidden creek on the day of arrival, my brother in law called us (who had arrived earlier), and told us what a nightmare the rv park was, his first cabin did not have an exterior door handle and the only way you could close the door was to shove a stick into the jam, the inside smelled like a cat pee strong fruit airfreshner mix the walls had splatters on them, the blinds were all broken the sheets were dirty, there was a hole punched in the bedroom door and there was a crystal meth pipe and pills stashed under the bed! the other cabin was in similar condition minus the drugs and pipe, and the hot tub did not get hotter then 87 degrees. Needless to say they left the next morning with a refund. We stayed in the chaplain house, which we were told by the manager was the only refurbished cabin in the park, it was nice inside minus the pink mold on the shower curtains and dirty blinds, we decided to stay since we could not find other lodging with our family of five, while the inside of the cabin was nice, the park itself was creepy and depressing, this is not a tourist vacation park, this is a "down on your luck/drug problem park" We were surrounded on both sides of our cute cabin with 1960s-70s brokedown rundown trailers and rvs, its occupants were questionable and looked mentally ill or high (we could not tell). We talked to a local fish boat owner who said the locals call this place hidden tweek instead of hidden creek and told us about a murder that had happened there last year so when we got home we looked up "hidden creek rv trinidad murder" and found out that a resident had stabbed someone to death there and the victim had (of course) flopped dead five feet in front of the cabin we were staying in, if you look up the story the murderers picture looks like the people that reside here. Please beware families this is not a place for kids, my husband would not stop complaining our whole trip about what a crap hole we were staying in, we will probably not stay in trinidad for a while after this experience (none of this is an over-exageration)!! read more

My family and I have been loyal guests to these villas for many years, but sadly this year was our last. When we first started staying here they were beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Each villa had a decoration theme. They were reasonably priced. We loved coming here. This last time we stayed here it was awful. The bathroom door had no handle, the linens had holes and smelled like smoke and like they had not been washed properly. The blinds were broken and had stains on them. The carpet was stained. The curtains were also stained and dirty. The shower curtain was pink from not being wash or changed there was also a missing towel rack with holes left in its place. The stairs were broken! There used to be a small assortment of kitchen dished and pans now there is nothing. The whole place smelled of cigarettes. The whole experience was plain awful. Oh an the fridge smelled of fish! We tried to point things out to the owner and we asked for a discount but we were told our price had already been discounted enough. So sad not the right answer at all . I hope the owners get their act together or the will be out of business before to long. I do not recommend staying here to anyone. read more
