*Would give this vet zero stars if I could*…read more To say that I am incredibly dissatisfied with the care I have received from Burleson Equine is an understatement. I recently moved to the area from out of state, and was looking to establish care with a great vet. Burleson Equine was close to us and had good recommendations. The first time I brought my horse to the clinic for spring vaccines and a new patient exam, the vet didn't even perform a physical exam on her; instead she simply gave her vaccine through the trailer window. As a former equine vet tech, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured she was just busy and had more pressing patients on her schedule. Come fall, I scheduled an appointment to bring her into the clinic for a float and fall vaccines. when I got there, the vet that performed the float was filling in while she was out of town. I asked to have bloodwork ran to screen my mare for Cushings due to her age and a few indicators she recently exhibited. He did a fantastic job and enjoyed my experience with him. However, things quickly went south after that. After paying the ridiculously expensive bill (be prepared for a 10% convenience fee if you're using care credit; which wasn't applied the first time I had an appointment with them), I realized they had invoiced me for the same vaccine that they had given my horse in the spring. Turns out whoever made the appointment incorrectly labeled what vaccines my horse was due for, so she got a second round of the Core EQ, and then proceeded to not refund me because the service had been rendered and I "should have caught that mistake while the vet was giving the vaccine". I was told the vet that owned the clinic would be giving me a call the following week with her bloodwork results. A week passes by and I get a voicemail from Dr Jordan discussing my bloodwork results, saying she could send them to me via email and I could call back with questions. Over the next three weeks, I repeatedly called the office asking to speak with her and if she wasn't available, at least get the bloodwork results sent over to me so I could have them. All five of the times that I called, I was told that the vet wasn't in the office, they weren't sure when she was going to be back, and that it was "illegal" for them to send me my bloodwork results without authorization from the vet (even though I paid the invoice in full and they are legally my property). The customer service from not only the hospital manager, but the receptionist as well, was very unprofessional and sounded like they had zero interest in wanting to help me. I finally received a phone call and my bloodwork results via email on November 22 after I sent them an email notifying them that I was aware of the Patient Records Release and Charges rule 573.54 in the Rules of Professional Conduct section of the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, and would be filing a formal complaint through the TBVME based on the denial of my multiple requests for release of my horse's bloodwork results. Very shortly after that email was sent, I received a phone call from the vet that was filling in, and was told I needed to sign a release form to allow the hospital to release my own records, to myself. I sent the form back immediately, and have yet to receive the remainder of my records. Having 5 years of experience working as a veterinary professional, I did not want to write this review. I know how taxing and difficult it is to work in veterinary medicine, especially in equine medicine, but the lack of professionalism and proper veterinary care that I experienced from Burleson Equine is unacceptable. The treatment I received from the staff is shady and their business practices are sketchy. I have certainly learned my lesson here, and will definitely be doing more research regarding a veterinary clinic's ethics and morals before I trust my horse in their care.

They came out at the anticipated time that afternoon, and I know if I need help again with one of my horses I'll give them a call.

Everyone, Please meet Lucky. Our German Shepherd we rescued last year. Lucky is my soulmate…read morefurbaby. He's also very quiet, shy, lovable....the list goes on and on. I searched high and low to find the best furbaby sitter when we were out of town. I decided on Boat Club Pet Resort for many reasons: Very clean and staff very attentive to us humans and especially our fur babies. Price! They're a heck of a lot cheaper than pet sitter that enters your home....when you're not there that always made me nervous. Location, Location,Location! Easy access from all parts of Fort Worth area. Daily I would receive Report Card on Lucky, with all info on his day, mood,eating,etc. they took pictures of him too! Side Note: we were so anxious about leaving our love bucket, we had a death in our family and a week later our daughter was getting married.....our stress level was to the max .... however, not once did I worry or wonder how Lucky was getting along with the staff or other dogs. I kid you not, The resort became our extended family! Go up anytime and ask for a tour, get their prices and meet the staff - you can bet they have what you are looking for, your fur babies will thank you!
