The main floor is filled with basically women's clothing and accessories. The upstairs is men's, and more women's. I could've spent a lot more time in the store if I could have. They have a cool area that clothes are brand new with store tags on it as well the thrift store price. You can get a great deal especially if you find the 50% off tag or .99 tag. They have a huge book selection. The store itself is so stocked and very nicely set up. I could spend hours in there but it can be a little bit packed. The cashiers are so. Ice. You can tell who their every day costumers are because I heard a few address some by name. That is so sweet. If you like value, a cool gold or two or three do your self a huge favor and go. It's a delicate balance and Generations seems to know how to keep it. Most of the stuff I saw was in great shape, not outdated garbage and very reasonably priced. We scored a nicely framed vintage poster for about $40. It looked like most of the tag dates were fairly fresh, so stock turns fast here. If you see something you like, snap it up because it will probably be gone! In terms of "good stuff", pricing and general atmosphere, Generations is far better than both Chattel Changers and Legacies.

I went here yesterday and let me say the staff really made me uncomfortable. As soon as I got in…read morethe store there were just a bunch of staff around me, the first few isles I went to, the same few people would be in the next isles very obviously just pretending to work. As I continued shopping there would be employees that would come over and put things on the racks and just reach over me/my cart without even a simple "excuse me". There was even a young man (he was an employee as well) that just walked in my face to get a hanger I guess, but didn't say excuse me or sorry after completely violating my personal space. After this I looked around a bit more then went to check out shortly after, and the same young man comes from the back and tells the other person at the register to leave, he then checks me out and instead of folding all of the clothes I had he just threw them all on the counter leaving me to fold them, and when I folded the clothes to put in my bag he threw them back in the unorganized pile he created. I had a good amount of clothes I won't lie but you're working in retail there are some things that you know you're supposed to do like fold the goods the customer is buying especially because Goodwill does not provide bags. Honestly, I love this specific store they typically have a good selection of items, but this experience made me very uncomfortable and I am unsure if I would EVER select this store again because of this experience.

I found a St Vincent's near me on 108 Street in West Allis where they appreciate anything you donate and I appreciate they are helping people who need help. St Vincent's is out there trying to help people with their proceeds: The proceeds from each of the Thrift Stores go directly to the programs and services that deliver hope and help to people in need. The $50 that you spend in a SVdP Thrift Store can turn into the rent or utility payment that keeps a family warm and in their home.
