They have a cool area that clothes are brand new with store tags on it as well the thrift store price. You can get a great deal especially if you find the 50% off tag or .99 tag. They have a huge book selection. The store itself is so stocked and very nicely set up. I could spend hours in there but it can be a little bit packed. The cashiers are so. Ice. You can tell who their every day costumers are because I heard a few address some by name. That is so sweet. If you like value, a cool gold or two or three do your self a huge favor and go. Here I am! What a great day. This is probably one of my favorite St. Vincent's. Today I just happened upon four summer dresses all the same except for the color. Better yet, they fit. There was one color I wasn't that nuts about. So I only got three of them. They are a thick cotton T-shirt material. And they were seven dollars apiece. What a bargain. First time here! I think you definitely need to hunt around a little more here but I really appreciated how well organized the space was!! Honestly so organized! To the point that staff were restocking by fully reshelving items. I did find a few things but could have spent a lot more time there since I barely put a dent in the store. I recently replaced my years old coffee table with a modern looking coffee table that my cat just hates because it's taller with a slippery finish and she just never warmed up to it after a month now. She would always lay on the old one next to me and now she doesn't anymore. I even cut the legs down 2-1/2 inches to get it lower like the last one and nothing. I spent today looking at furniture stores and second hand stores, I found nothing that was remotely similar to my last coffee so I called it a day and remembered this place is next to Walmart so I stopped to look. After looking around I saw an antique looking low wood coffee table with nice carved legs and a leather insert on top, this is exactly what I'm looking for. $40 red tag was on it and I thought that that's not bad if she doesn't like it, the red tag means 50% off and I got it for $20 which was a great surprise. I think this one will work because she is back to sitting on the table again as I write this review, great because this was the last table I was getting her. Overall I don't usually shop at thrift stores but I needed an old school low coffee table that new furniture stores don't offer today and this place had what I was driving all over looking for. read more

So, I think that this store has lost its way. I don't know if the organization has as well. I have shopped here, at this location, for as long as it has been here, because I like kind of "different" t-shirts and I want to help out my community. I will normally pay about $5 for a men's used t-shirt here...as recent as 2 months ago. Today, their t-shirts were between $8.50 and $12.00. These are used t-shirts that were donated (for free). I asked a woman that was walking by me (who worked there) and she said she didn't know anything. I talked to a woman making popcorn and she didn't know how to get a hold of the manager, or what things should cost...so I left. This is an organization is tax exempt. I called the Waukesha location to see what they were charging, and they weren't helpful, either. They didn't seem to care. Actually, she said it was okay to spend up to $15 depending on the type of t-shirt. I called Kohls immediately afterwards - they are charging between $7 and $12 for their basic t-shirts...and they are new. People shop at these stores because they don't have money. They come to these thrift stores to buy things (other people's things) they cannot afford to buy new. I am a different kind of customer, where I could and can afford to buy new things I just prefer to find ways to help my community. I don't know if this is a St. Vincent DePaul-wide problem, but at least this store and the management should be ashamed of itself for gauging poor families by their prices for simple t-shirts. Holy cow! This place is MUCH bigger than I expected. It's clean, bright, ORGANIZED!!!!! Each section is clearly defined, ie.: housewares, clothing, books/movies/music, furniture. There isn't currently a whole lot in the store except for the usual, dishes and clothes, but I found it a worthwhile stop, anyway. The prices are right in line with where they should be on most items, and better than expected on the rest. The workers are very friendly, too. P.S. This is a thrift store that does not feel like you're Thrifting. You walk in the door and you immediately see a seasonal display. Then you see dishes that are arranged like they used to at Boston store. It feels like you are shopping a higher and Staur. Everything is clean everybody that works. As far as thrift shops go, St. Vincent's is doing it right. You know how when you typically walk into a thrift shop, it smells vaguely like the back of your grandma's storage closet? A little funky, musty, and reminiscent of moth balls? When you walk in this store, the odor that smacks you straight in the face is... Caramel corn. Some may think it's odd that they serve popcorn and caramel corn. Personally, I think it's brilliant. It smells delicious (I didn't try any...but man, it smelled good) and completely masks the thrift shop funk. Brilliant, I tell you. The shop is beautifully clean and impeccably organized. The store itself is quite large and thus their selection of most items is expansive. I had been hunting all day for a table for a game room I'm putting together in my house. St. Vincent's had the best selection of tables I saw anywhere. We actually had options! I was able to find a solid oak table, complete with leaf. The table was priced with chairs but when we asked if we could simply purchase the table sans chairs--they readily agreed and proposed a price that was more than fair ($65). Amazing! As with all of the shops we went to, I also checked out their housewares and board game selections. I didn't purchase anything, but they had the most well organized board game selection I've seen in any thrift shop anywhere. They seem to actually inspect incoming items to ensure they are high quality and complete (ie: have all the necessary pieces). Beyond all that goodness, their workers were amazingly kind and accommodating. Oh! And, household goods and clothing donations to St. Vincent's go to helping the poor and hungry--nice! From the smell of fresh kettle corn to the mega neat, tidy, super organized shelves it was a pleasure to shop and much more fun and having items displayed so nicely and not jammed and crammed onto shelves..A+ for effort to staff! Ex.white, yellows, peaches, orange,pink.... not only is this place cleaner than many department stores, the prices are unbeatable, especially on colored dot days!!! Clean, neat, and well organized. Shopping here is a pleasant experience. The staff is friendly, and helpful. They take pride in their work, and it shows. The aisles are spacious, and they have dressing rooms. They likely won't have everything you're looking for, but I've gotten lucky plenty of times, and have rarely walked out not buying something. It's not fun sifting through crap. Thankfully, the merchandise here is in good condition; some of it is new or like new. I recently bought a new shirt with a Kohl's tag still on it. Originally $40, I got it for 3 or 4 bucks. I also got some exercise equipment that works great for real cheap. I'll eventually end up donating it back. Like many thrift stores, you'll find nostalgic stuff from years past that bring back memories. Another thing I noticed right away is this place doesn't smell like a musty, moldy, basement, something I've noticed in some thrift stores. Occasionally you may smell popcorn. They pop it and bag it for sale. They have a VIP text club, and you can sign up on the spot. They send a new text every Monday. Sometimes they offer 50% off a single item that's less than $50, or 10-20% off your total purchase. It varies. They also have discounts on clothes depending on the color dot on the tag. These discounts provide good deals and probably help keep inventory changing. SVDP is a good model for what a thrift store should be. Their mission is to help the poor and hungry. I'm a very enthusiastic thrifter. I usually seek them out when traveling somewhere. This is definitely one of the best in the area. I remember the first time I went, I literally asked, "Did this store just open?" it was SO clean and organized. From my experience, homewares and furniture are my best luck. Hours are late, and they're open Sundays! Which isn't the case with many St. Vinny's. And the only thing I love more than thrifting... is popcorn. So this place has everything obviously. The store is average. Very clean! Nice restrooms too! But the best part is...the whole store smells like caramel popcorn!! $1.49 a bag. Buy some! It tastes as good as it smells. I don't even care if the popcorn funds go to a charity. If they do, great! If not, I'm OK with that. read more

Usually come here about twice a week. Will definitely not be coming back to this store. Our cashier was so rude with an attitude and when asked about the coupon she said you have to actually show me your phone. It was myself, my husband and our daughter. I had left my phone in the car but we did have my husbands phone. had to go to the car to get my own phone to show her a coupon EVERYONE gets. Which they usually just give us the discount automatically " I'm the Manger so I know you have to show your phone" Her name was Tracy and only reason I knew that because she answered the phone while she was checking me out and was rude as well and the person on the phone asked for her name at the end of the call. I've loved pretty much every St. Vinny's I've been in, but this one was particularly good! It was immaculately organized. Immaculate, I tell you! Now St. Vinny's has always been way more organized that the average thrift store, but this place was perfect. Some examples: They have a huge book selection and it was very well organized with lots of genre breakdowns and nice big shelves, making it super easy to browse! All of the household goods items were perfectly separated and again on nice, big shelves that weren't over-packed. And instead of having 1 main furniture section with random pieces scattered about the store or laid out in little setups, it was all neatly arranged in 1 section by type...all the end-tables lined up next to each other and not put around the sofas. That irks me! This way makes it really easy to look at all my options, since I specifically came to find a new dresser. I didn't visit the clothing section, but it looked nicely organized and with a decent amount of options. Prices were great, staff was friendly, aisles were spacious and un-crowded, very clean store. The St. Vincent De Paul Store in Greenfield is spacious, with a very large section for furniture and household items. All the sections are large! The changing rooms are rather dark. I have had good luck finding lamps and children's clothing here, and a little bit of clothing for myself. The furniture is mostly older and outdated. They have a large jewelry case and nice displays of holiday items and sports team clothing. It's worth your time to visit this store and see what's around! Horrible cleanliness! When you walk in it smells much better then most second hand stores so I was very pleased at first. Once visiting the store a few times a noticed how filthy the walls surrounding the popcorn machine are( even the ceiling) Also seeing the workers handle the popcorn with no gloves. After looking at some furniture for my daughters dorm I saw bed bugs! I was so disgusted! Once telling the manager she was so rude and seemed to only care about keeping me quiet so other customers didn't hear. Lastly I noticed the dressing rooms located in the middle of the store do not have ceilings...one of the security cameras is conveniently located above the dressing room.. once in the dressing room looking up you can clearly see that the camera can see you undress well trying on clothes... overall disgusted! read more

While this store is very clean and organized the 3 stars is for pricing. They really need to research items and prices prior to putting it on the sales floor. Some of their prices are outrageous. They claim to use Ebay but they only look at active listings not what has actually sold. This is the worst place to get furniture, they charge what an actual furniture store would charge and what's worse is that price is for HEAVILY used. I know they need to keep the lights on and help people but I'm seeing the same stuff every week. read more

Saint Vincent has good merchandise some of which is brand new. But their staff is very rude, especially where they have the drop off, those people there are extremely rude. we donate and we buy a lot of merchandise. But when we go to the drop off those people tell you stay in your car and they hold up their hand and they make you sit there and wait until they are good and ready to take your stuff out of your car. before the pandemic the people that work there were very friendly now it's not that way anymore read more

Writing this review just from the standpoint of a donator. We called them to take our old sofa and scheduled a pickup. They did not require a photo or ask any questions or provide any donation guidelines. The pickup guys arrived and immediately told us the sofa was unacceptable due to some spots on the fabric, and they wouldn't take it. It's fine to have standards but then you need to communicate them so donators end up like we did. Fortunately we are retired so didn't take off work for the pickup...it was inconvenient enough as it was. So before you donate to them, be sure they won't turn around and refuse your stuff. read more

unfortunately today was not a pleasant experience. I tried to use my coupon on my phone , and could not pull it up as my phone didn't have enough charge. I informed the clerk, and he chuckled, and said I need to show him. I never had this problem before. it just upset me, as I donate to this charity all year long. I don't think I was asking for alot.
