This is a bait and switch establishment. Told us the Alpine Slide was down but would open up later…read moreso they convinced us to buy the Ultimate Pass to take advantage of the time we would have to wait for the Slide. And if the Slide was never opened they would refund us the price of what the a la carte slide price would be. We did the Aerial adventure for 2 hours and slide still closed. So we did the zip line and tubes but still no slide. It was time for us to go so I went back to the office and was told they would not refund us as we already did everything but the slide and jump. Wtff! It was fun but NOT worth almost $200 for 2 people. ONE STAR for the staff who were all super cool and helpful. ONE STAR for the aerial adventure being a fun 2 hour experience.

If you are up for some adrenaline rush and physical exertion (can you climb a 20ft wobbly rope…read moreladder that makes you feel inverted), then definitely add this to your Mt Rushmore vacation itinerary. Located just 5-8 mins from the Mt Rushmore parking lot. We started of with a $35 package 800ft Zipline and "bungee" jump for the boys and $25 Zipline for us. TIP: don't waste your money on the jump, or the 800ft (15 second) Zipline. Go straight for the Aerial ropes course which have those elements built into several of their 8 paths/courses. We decided after that we wanted to do the 2hr Aerial adventure ropes course high in the trees, because it looked fun, well-built, new, and safe. TIP: They wouldn't re-bundle what we already did into a new package rate. Lame!!!! Buy what you think you might do up front. The regular rate is $49 for 2hrs or $10 less for 1h15m twilight pricing (after 5:00p). You have to start your last path by 6p. And you cannot try a higher difficulty path without leveling up from an easier level (yellow to green to blue to black). We did the twilight rate and only had time for the yellow, green, and blue. The green and blue were really fun, and had great Zipline and Jump elements built in. We were told the black is a real workout, not quite American ninja warrior hard, but hard. The equipment is very safe and the staff is well trained. They use a tweezle ropes system which is very safe with built in redundancies. Some of the yellow path equipment could use some tightening. Bathrooms were nasty. All in all, we had a blast and wished we could have spent all day there. This was the best ropes course we have ever tried.

Unfortunately, the day we arrived the water main broke Anna had no water for a day and a half. However, the office refunded one night stay without us even asking. I will say the RV's were only feet apart from each other so was a little noisy in the morning. The office store was nice. It had a coffee machine and many souvenirs. The people running the faculty were amazing. My husband needed emergency dental work and they gave us a few hours extra to check out.

The good: The two showers that one half of the entire park shares are pretty nice and big with a toilet and sink in it. A private area to shower. The bad: The water pressure. The good: The one-room cabin is nice. The bad: No refrigerator in the cabin. The very worst thing is that the night we got there, the front desk did not know that the trolley was regularly running, with several people on it. Instead, they said we would have to text or call the driver. (He is busy driving.........!) So needless to say, we drove and as we were driving down the KOA driveway, leaving to go to Deadwood, we had to move out of the way for the &;&;)@$ trolley that was driving up. Would have been nice if the front desk would have made it their business to find out trolley info. One more thing: The two donkeys running loose made all the dogs go nuts.

It was a great experience I was told that if you want to see even more come earlier and you will thoroughly enjoy how much our life is out and about we went about 1 o'clock and still having to enjoy the time seeing lots of wildlife This wildlife road definitely can take you about two hours to drive on so be prepared for that if you take the wildlife road After that, we continued on to see the eye of the needle and many other amazing places they had inside the park. After driving around, we stopped by the lake. They have some beautiful deck seating for you if you decide to either go in get some food and eat on the deck area outside or take it to go either way it is a great atmosphere inside the gift shop plenty of smiling faces and Nice People working in this area. Oh, I definitely think that it was a world park and every person we encountered whether it was a park range or a worker they were very nice and courteous easy to talk to and we definitely just enjoyed our time there
