We survived the snow... Never did we receive any help from "hosts" No snow removal attempts... no answering phones. No concern for anyone's general well fare. Corporate indicated it wasn't heir issue!???? I personally fell and hurt my left shoulder. What started out as a great experience ended horrible. Hard to imagine what it would have been if other campers had not helped each !!!

Great KOA! I'd originally reserved a tent site but after dealing with rain I upgraded to a Kabin. I stayed in K4 and had a nice cozy night. The TV was small and not a lot of channels came in but when you're camping who cares about TV?!? The bathrooms/showers were some of the nicest I've ever seen. Newly remodeled. The shower floor was kind of uncomfortable to stand on but no complaints otherwise. WiFi was great everyday! The owner Arnie was very accommodating!

This KOA has new staff and they are lovely . We stayed only 11 days after new owners have been here and I see great things for this place in the future. The cabins are authentic old school cabins but still beautiful and cozy . We got the real cabin experience. The hot tub was lovely and pool stayed warm at night. I definitely recommend checking this place out. With a little TLC from new owners , I can't wait to come back and stay next summer. If you're looking for a place to stay for sturgis 81st festival I would try to get in here ASAP !! It's perfect location allows you to feel like you're Camping , but a trolly also takes you to town . I'm sure glad we decided to stay here , not to mention save a little money on our trip . Best priced place we have been since arriving in SD . Next time we will be coming here for the entire stay!

Bathroom/showers. By far the nicest showers and restrooms I've ever seen at a campsite. New. Heated insides all night long.

My site was right next to the office since it was a tent site, so I didn't get to see much of the grounds.

Great place to stay in your RV…read more Each spot has a concrete area with a table and chairs, a gas grill, a fire pit with bench seating around it as well as a bench swing. RV spots are level, nice gravel... The place is well maintained... great looking place. They have cars for rent... and a decent selection that ranges from a van to a Mustang convertible... also ATVs for rent. The office has all sorts of food, coffee, supplies... They have several shops with pizzia, etc. One of the nicest camp grounds you will find anywhere... it's got to be in the top 1% of places to stay... period.

The front office are not friendly and definitely not helpful, they need training of the area and the way the campground works. The bathrooms and toilets are disgusting. We stayed a week and they were not cleaned once. We also came to do laundry and only 2 washers in the entire park were working. We complained and they only had excuses. To top it off the maintenance crew were mowing around people and us while we were sitting outside trying to relax. They work/campers need intense training if they are to function this summer. 0 out of 10 for cleanliness/customer service 10 for location.

We had seen a few places along our travels and a lot listed in the tourist guide. We chose Country Charm Cabins and Corrals based on the advice of John and Ann (proprietors at The Shady Rest Motel). This was a great decision. Owen and Lois (I hope I am remembering their names correctly) are awesome. They have owned this location for 12 years. Lois is a riding instructor. Upon calling and making reservations I was asked about our skill level and told exactly what to wear and what to bring. The ride time is 2 hours. Riders ride their own horses. My son who is 6 was on his own horse with a lead. We are inexperienced riders so we were given instruction on how to handle our horses. Each rider is given a bag to take with them for water and a camera. Helmets are required for children. My husband and I wore one as well. The trail takes riders on a lovely tour of some flat grassy areas and some hilly areas. Lois is fantastic about explaining plants, trees, history, etc. along the way as well as explaining the correct way to handle the horses. The only thing I wish I would have known is they do not accept credit cards. We had some cash on us but not enough for the 3 of us. We were willing to give them all the cash we had and stop by with the rest the next day. They offered to let us mail it. We loved this ride. My son loved when we were able to trot.

Ample room in the spots, a great pool and laundry room, nestled in between two peaks so the stars shine bright and they can accommodate everything from super long to popping a dang tent! Everyone in the office is soooo nice, I'm talkin to you Robin, Tammy and Linda! There's a really friendly man who rolls around in the golf cart too but I don't know his name. Communicative, helpful and making sure everyone is enjoying themselves is what this place is all about.... Also, this location is perfect to enjoy the rally (or whatever event is happening) in either Deadwood or Sturgis but not you're be stuck in the chaos. It's nice and quiet. We've met some great friends camping here though. People walking their dogs or just taking a stroll will stop by if you give them a smile, and I really like that. This is one of those reviews I hope works out well for the establishment but doesn't make it harder for me to get in...... that has happened lol Totally worth the risk though..... it's a great place to vacation so I had to share!

Reason being staff was out cleaning the sites. We unhooked our tow vehicle and drove around to see how many staff were working. Absolutely zero. (In the 20+ years of rving we have never been told we had to pay for checking in less than 1/2 hr early) I then went into the office sat waiting for 1:00 to arrive. While the lady was on the phone talking to someone asking if I received the email with the rules saying chec-pk-in was 1:00 , her small daughter that walking around took the brochure out of my hand and walked away. At 1:00 I walked up to the counter and the lady proceeded to tell me I was rude and there was no need to yell. I told her if she thought I was yelling she'd never heard yelling. She then told me if I left a negative review she guaranteed me she would be replying. I'm not sure if she was saying that so I wouldn't leave a review but after her being one of rudest if not the rudest office manager we've met I definitely was leaving one.
