Stopped by to try some beer. We got half pints so we could try more and I highly recommend doing that. Boyz to the yard - light and fruity beer. Incredible! Didn't know what to expect, but damn! I loved this brewery, I wish I would have got growlers to go. The Humulus is by far the best beer. So flavorful, a mix of heavy and light - I had to get TWO! Bartender was super patient with me as I described what I wanted, and he delivered exactly what I needed. The interior main floor is quite small, though the patio is large, so in the spring/summer season it would be nice to be outside, but of course in the dead of winter, the upstairs was the place to be. I visited this brewery with my dog. Moments after arriving, I watched one patron's off leash dog attack two other dogs inside at the bar. That dog headed toward us and I blocked it with my legs. When I said something to the owner about the dog attacks, I became the next victim! I was verbally and physically attacked by the owner. When I called the police, *I* was charged because I verbally responded to the attacks. The aggressive dog's owner claims to frequent this location "all of the time". I guess this is some kind of dog fight bar now. I will never return to this location OR Grand County. read more

A quick stop proved to be worth our while. I'm not a beer drinker, but my husband got the Peanut Butter Porter. He said it was very good beer, although it didn't taste particularly peanut buttery... It's right next to Fraser Valley Hot Dog, so combining the two made for an excellent lunch! Maybe they were in the middle of a brew or something, but man did it smell. The bar lady looked totally confused when I showed her my 42oz Hideaway Brewery flask. I questioned the $20 price, more expensive per oz than drinking in the bar! She said she only had one button, doesn't matter if it's 64oz or 42oz. Ripped off by a bar lady with attitude. I tasted their a chili mac beer, I wasn't expecting to love it but I'm always determined to find one I like. I was highly impressed. Great flavor, not to hot, not overpowering. I went for one of their standards, the red rocket amber. Delicious. Seriously, a great choice. My husband opted for the cherry gose. I had to give it a try, holy moly it was good. Visiting Granby CO and came here two of the nights. The atmosphere is great. Inside you have your pick of around 6 homemade brews on tap. I think there's more. I had a Pilsner and it was very good. The space is small but serves its purpose. Has plenty of outside seating but wish they had overhead heat. Would have stayed longer if it wasn't freezing. They have merchandise which is always cool. So -- I loved the location of this little place in the heart of Winter Park. The location was ALSO beneficial seeing as there was a DOPE hot dog place that shared the building with them. So good! You could bring your food into the brewery or sit in the fun rocking chairs or at the tables outside. On a nice day with little traffic for our wedding weekend -- it was the perfect spot to chill after the morning rehearsal in Granby. The beer -- lots of varieties (light to dark) with some fun flavors in a couple. It's a small establishment so we took up the whole front room and some of the tables outside. Downfalls: - Bartender and staff were not very friendly -- like they weren't rude but just not very welcoming. - No where to park -- we ended up parking around the block on a dirt road with a dead end. This is not necessarily the business'' fault but a point to consider when visiting. read more

I stopped by this place with my wife and father-in-law during our week of vacation in Winter Park and ALL enjoyed the beer and the atmosphere. They have some board games and we just hung around and played Connect4 while we drank our beer. I had the IPA and it finished real smooth. Breweries in the smaller places of Colorado can really be hit or miss. I didn't know what to expect from Hideaway, but left extremely impressed. So much so that if another visit yields beers as good as our first visit, a 5th star will easily be added. Nearly everything we had was really well crafted. Oddly enough, the first beer I tried on our taster flight (Pocket Rocket Red) did not impress being not malty or red enough, but everything after that impressed. The Humulus #19 was a great experimental IPA like that of Upslope's experimental but a tad more tropical. The Toadally Fresh IPA was indeed fresh, while the Coffee Brown was well balanced with coffee but not overpowering the brown. The Cherry Gose is what won us both over the most - really nice fruit tartness without the sweet but really drinkable. Place is small, but cozy. The front room is more the gathering/group area with games and such, while the main bar place is smaller but welcoming with barrels of aging beer providing company. Liked that they had a line for ordering beer from the bar too. Just an all around solid experience. Will definitely be back when in the area again. read more

Hideaway Park is a great brewery in the mountain town of Winter Park. Although there are breweries as far as the eye can see in Denver, this is the only craft brewery in town. We had a great experience here from start to finish. We had to park across the street, but upon entering we were happy to see such a nice atmosphere. We quickly ordered beers and no one had any complaints about the offerings. The owner was very nice and friendly and gave us some recommendations for things to do while in the area. Fireworks, food and a cold brew - the three ingredients to a great Fourth of July. Since we were visiting Colorado with family, I knew we could find fireworks and food easily but I was more concerned with finding a great beer. Thankfully, Hideaway Park Brewery was just the place to provide the lagers, stouts and IPAs. I had their stout that was barreled in whiskey barrels and was very pleased with my choice I ordered two more rounds after. The head was robust and the taste was full and chocolately with the hint of whiskey. I also had their lime beer that was very tangy and almost tasted like a margarita. The taste new to me and interesting. It demonstrated that Hideaway not only can keep up with the classics but also innovates as well. Another important note is that they have "crowlers" which is a 32 ounce can of their craft beer that they pour and can on site. Delicious! And it provided he perfect end to Independence Day while we watched the fireworks. I definitely recommend this brewery in summer or winter. read more

Walked in and asked about different beers and was told to "read the sign" and got laughed at. The employees were rude, not helpful, and almost mocking. The beer was just as bad as the service. Wouldn't wish it on anyone to go here even if it was the last brewery in the world.
