Full disclosure, I want a 4.5 rating but Yelp...you know. My partner and I had just finished a tour at the local gold mine and were in need of food and drink. As always, I got on my phone, checked out Yelp and made the call. Based on its location next to water, attentive staff, good beer and great food, I'd say Yelp for the win. We decided to eat inside with wait staff versus ordering our food and drinks at the counter. I don't think there is a wrong choice as you can enjoy the view or solid service. This working brewery has a large selection of beers and a full bar. I went with an IPA and my dining partner had a sour (which our waitress was kind enough to let her sample first). Although it wasn't 4pm, I was allowed to order the fish and chips. It was hot, flavorful and filling for $20. I especially liked the malt vinegar aioli for my fries. My partner had a generous chicken sandwich and tots. The order was hot, tasty and satisfying. The hockey heavy themed brewery was a hit with us. It's been a minute since we've been here, but the views are still just as stunning. Came by on Sunday evening in the summer- of course it's busy; I didn't realize the property backs up onto the dock of the lake- essentially where paddle boards get into the water. They have QR codes to scan for beer and food menus, and you walk up to order, get a buzzer and they deliver food to ya. My Caesar salad was good- exactly what I'd expect. My husbands wings were fully devoured. So I'd say it was a successful meal. read more

Friendly service, food is served quickly, and you cannot beat the view! This restaurant is located right on the edge of the lake so you have a gorgeous view of the mountains and lake right next to your table. The menu is standard brewery fare. I ordered the chicken wings which came with tots and it did not disappoint. The wings were crispy and tasty and I appreciated that they didn't drown them in sauce. Stuck in i70 traffic? Pop in here for a quick meal. Their food is typical bar food but I would go back for the elk bratwurst any day. Unfortunately the roll they serve it on is a bit much but is evened out by the price and the crispy tots. I only had an NA beer there but thought it was pretty tasty. I think we got lucky sitting at the bar but we had great service. The bartender working behind the counter clearly loved his job and was really engaging when taking our orders. I have been here a few times and the service and food can be a hit or miss but this last time gave it another star in my book. One drawback being the noise level can get pretty loud and the self serve water station is weird when you're sitting at a table already. Absolutely love having this spot as a perfect way to break up any drive to and from the mountains. The quality of beer and food is truly amazing plus the service is friendly and helpful. First and foremost, unbelievable views. The valley and lake are amazing. Our son had a BLAST poking around in the water. The service was perfect. Attentive and friendly. Knowledgeable with their products and friendly during a very busy rush. The food was AWESOME. A little niche, but the French fries were maybe the best I've had. The rest of the food was great too! You might be stuck eating here if you're desperate for a meal along I -70 but i personally found the experience disappointing. There's plenty of outdoor seating along the water which is nice vibes on a nice weather day. There are benches along the shade too and indoor spots. They charge for any modification which I didn't realize until they rung up my entire order. Sauces are $1 and tomatos are $2 which feels extreme. Second, they got my order wrong, and it was missing ingredient. The buffalo chicken tots were disappointing because they were essentially just some buffalo sauce on tots. Literally didn't have any chicken or cheese or anything. Food was fairly disappointing. For instance, the bun on the burger wasn't toasted it was cold and stale so it sorta fell apart as I was eating. I don't think I'd return for the food at all. read more

You either get the Dale experience or the Matt experience. Service for sure can be lacking. I've had great bar service and quite the opposite. Weekends. Weekdays. Busy. Quiet. Really depends on prep work and who is working as you could say about any business. I have always sat at the bar so maybe table service is a bit friendlier? Generally bar service is quickest so it's a real shame when you wait so long just to order food or drink. Beautiful location right off I-70 in Georgetown. Awesome lake views and the nearby mountains. Spacious inside area and patio spots. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Plenty of to-go beer options. They also fill growlers which you unfortunately don't see much of anymore. Beer obviously but also cocktails and wine or beer isn't your thing. Believe now that Guanella Pass closed this is the only brewery in town. Just wish the beer was better. They usually have a west coast IPA or two. Several lagers of various shades of lightness and malt. Something fruited, a seltzer, sometimes an Amber or something darker, and maybe a double IPA on. It's not a huge selection but it's nice to have some variety. Nice vibe in this brewery but I really wish the service was better. Goes a lot farther for me than beer quality. Drink wise I like the variety but not the best beer I've had. Good varied food menu. Pizza. Pretzels. Light bites or larger plates for if you're really hungry. Food comes out quickly. We're staying at the hotel right beside Cabin Creek so we decided to give them a try! I mostly just wanted a soup while dad wanted some wings, and the kids wanted burgers. Guess what? They had all of it. We even ordered some hot cocoa and earl grey tea while my husband wanted the house special Argentine Amber beer. All of the food was made fresh, the fries were so delicious as were the loaded tots. My red pepper Gouda soup hit the spot of this frigid, windy evening. I prefer more salt, pregnancy probs, but it wasn't bland by any means. They were out of crackers so we got the tortilla chips which were good and salty (woohoo!). Our server was Megan M, she was friendly and attentive. There is an atm machine at the entrance, but the check is paid by your phone although they probably could take your card at the register. Service was horrible. Waited forever in line while an incompetent person took orders so slow. Then my husband saw the sign by the register that said if your order then you have to eat outside. My husband was not complaining just saying it to me. A server walking by snarked at us, "yeah read the sign it says if you order here you eat outside." It was such a rude comment to make especially since we were not complaining or even talking to that server. Husband got a cheeseburger but his did not come with cheese. I really wanted to love this place... it's in a fantastic location right next to a lake where families gather to fish, paddleboard, or just hang out by the water. The brewery itself has a great vibe, with tons of indoor and outdoor seating, making it an ideal stop after skiing or hiking. Unfortunately, the food just didn't measure up. We ordered a variety of items: Caesar wrap, pepperoni pizza, queso, fried cauliflower, and buffalo tots. The only thing that stood out were the buffalo tots which were yummy but not good enough for me to crave them and come back. Everything else ranged from forgettable to below average. It's disappointing because the atmosphere is genuinely fun and welcoming. As much as I enjoyed the setting, I don't think I'll be coming back. Amazing experience! My wife and I live in Loveland. We visited Georgetown this week and stopped by your brewery on Thursday night (12/11/25) for drinks and dinner. We sat at the bar. I wanted to share with you and your staff how blown away we were with the level of hospitality and kindness we experienced from your server/bartender Cameron. We both travel for a living (39 years for me and 25 years for my wife with Southwest Airlines) so, also being craft beer enthusiasts, we have visited literally over a thousand breweries around the world in our lifetime. I was excited to visit Cabin Creek Brewing (I had enjoyed the brewery once before last year). From the very instant we walked in, Cameron greeted us with the biggest smile and such warmth and appeared excited that we wanted to sit at the bar and be served by him. For the next couple of hours we witnessed Cameron treat every single Customer with such enthusiasm and kindness. His positive energy created the greatest atmosphere for all of us sitting at the bar, and we all bonded as a result. He was very proud of the beer and made sure we were drinking and eating exactly what we like. He also offered a taste or two of beer styles outside of our usual (i.e. smoke beer). I just can't express enough how this Rock Star impressed us. What was equally admirable was not only how much he loved his job, the brewery and what it offers, but also how much love and respect he felt for YOU and the co-founders, the spouses, Sarah, Preston and his co-workers. He pointed to the 4 custom mugs sitting on the shelf behind the bar and boasted about how much all four of those people (and their wonderful spouses) meant to him. That touched my heart and made me feel like we definitely were where we should be at that moment. Plus, the beer and food were both wonderful. Came here with a friend after a day of leaf peeping and paddle boarding. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. The seating outside overlooks Georgetown Lake. Stunning views. There was even a smaller wedding going on while we were there. It was around 5:30pm so there was a small line for seating. The wait was going to be around 30 minutes, but we were lucky enough to have found two seats together at the bar. We order a few drinks which came out very quickly and then shared a buffalo chicken tots and the prosciutto pizza. Honestly this is some of the best pizza I have had in Colorado. No fries here -- so I went for this spot's delicious alternative: loaded tots. These came out so fast! Even faster than my flight of beers. I highly recommend this spot after a hike in Guanella Pass. It's got great views, a dog friendly patio and solid food and beer. Everyone around me looked like they had great food. And don't skip out on dessert! The Reese's pie was fantastic. Service was overall pretty good. It is a giant and busy space, and everyone (hostess, servers, food runners) was trying their hardest. If there was an award for the best venue for a brewery, I'd argue this is it! While driving nearby, we were on the hunt for a satisfying snack, some time outside and a cold beer. This checked all of our boxes and more. Cabin creek brewing is a popular place, and for good reason. With lots of great seating options, a nice size menu of both food and drinks, there's truly something for everyone!
