Tyler came out to hook up our gas grill to the natural gas line of the house. Took a little bit of hunting to find the right components that would hook the KitchenAid gas kit to the house. They say home repairs happen in threes. For the last several weeks we have had low pressure in our kitchen sink. After having things checked at the meter, we were urged to call a plumber. Our technicians wasted no time coming out and replacing all the water lines in our house and even though the estimate was for a 3 day job the technicians did it in just 1. Everyone was very professional and very polite from Liz at the call center to both Elber and Eliseo. with the repairs to the house. These gentlemen could have just worked a few hours and went home to their families for the night and came back the next day but they saw a family that was in dire need of having their water returned to them and they decided to stay and finish the job. The service person arrived about 2 hours after the scheduled time. This can be attributed to the extreme heat we have been experiencing. However, I asked him to check the unit. The first thing he checked was the temperature difference and the coil. His first estimate was to replace the coil for $4,000. I rejected that option since we have had no other problems. We asked him to refill the freon in the unit. He did for $555. He stated that he would have someone come on the following day to get an estimate for the replacement coil. In the meantime, it was discovered that the unit's external fan motor was not running. This should have been checked at the time of service. The estimator arrived, and I explained my concerns about the service. They did offer a 20% discount on the fan motor replacement and waived the service call fee. I declined and asked a friend to recommend a different company. The other AC company worked with me over the phone and brought out an OEM fan, which they installed within 30 minutes without any issues. I ended up paying less than $900, and the AC has been working exceptionally well with no leaks from the coil. read more

So here it is July 21, 2022 and the wife and I just made it home from a half day trip to Huntsville to find the Higdon service tech leaving my father n law's house next door. As I walk in I noticed that it was unusually warm in the house. I checked one of the vents and there is no cold air coming out. I tell the wife that our unit is out and she immediately calls Higdon that just left the father n law's house to have them come back to check our AC unit. 15 minutes after the wife calls Adam arrives to check out our AC unit. Adam was very friendly, Professional and answered all of our questions. This is the way a company should their customers. I have dealt with other AC companies like Lee Company which is the worst and most and will never ever call any of them again. The other companies charge double what Higdon charges for a service call and Higdon is 100 times more professional and friendly than any other company. There rating is 4.9 out of 5 with people speaking very highly of this company. I highly recommend this company and their service. I have sign up for their service plan which by the way is not a monthly fee. You sign up and agree to have them service your AC unit twice a year. Once in the spring and once in the Fall. If your part of the service plan you take priority over others that haven't sign up for the service. Thank you Adam and Higdon Service for helping us on this hot day.
