Man what can I say. It was Sunday, and I had a disaster on my hands. My new Screaming Eagle tuner crashed mid tune, and bricked (erased) my ECM. The bike was a boat anchor. I was furious. I called High country, the only HD service dept open on Sunday (which first of all is badass) and they committed to helping me. Brandon and the boys took my 22 SGS as soon as i offloaded it. A few minutes later, they advised my ECM was not taking any inputs and likely a case for replacement would need to be filed. I left the bike there around 2:00PM, and expected to not hear back for week, knowing that ECM's and microchips are not available commonly still. Brandon called me at 3:56PM to let me know this crew of gents with mastery in their skill sets, worked their wizard skills and recovered my ECM, and were able to tune my bike back up to stage one! To the entire service dept on Sunday, and Brandon, here's a high five. I've been in maintenance my whole life. It's dudes like you fellas, who don't stop working, testing and taking calculated risks, who are the back bone of the maintenance industry. I have always been pleased with this dealership, ever since I traded in my other Harley-Davidson in a few years ago. I have had service done here previously, and I have always dropped off my bike myself, mainly because it's always a nice ride up to the dealership in Frederick. Well this time I was having issues with my ignition lock assembly, and it just happen to snow the week this happened. I could've waited till it got nice to ride in. However, I wanted to make sure this was fixed in time for the Children's Hospital Toy Run in December. So I called up to High Country Harley-Davidson, and spoke to Eddie (not sure if this is the correct spelling). He advised me that they could pick up my bike that Sunday, which they normally didn't do, but they had another delivery near by that day. As any normal person, I had worries that it was going to cost a few "Benjamin's", to get my sled fixed. However, Eddie called a few days later to advise me, my sled had been fixed for a nominal price, I was stoked. Eddie then advised me that it so happened that the truck was going to be in the vicinity of my neighborhood again this weekend (for an affordable fee). I have dealt with a couple Harley-Davidson dealerships in my time, to service my bikes, and this was by far the best experience that I have had. Had service done to my harley. When I got it back home I noticed my front camera missing off my Fairing. I have a dash cam on my bike with front and rear cameras. The front camera was inside the fairing and the wire to my camera was crushed. Don't recommend you taking your bike to them. They won't work on mine again. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service in the entire world and what a bunch of liars! When they say a part is on back order for several months because of Covid-19, that is a LIE. Do your own research, find the part yourself, and don't let these people keep your bike in their shop for months on end without any calls, updates, NOTHING. They have the nerve to say "we got creative looking for the part" with a snippy little attitude, but that is not the truth. Had you been "creative" you would have found the part you said was on back order for MONTHS, right here in the Denver metro area. Had you been "creative" you would have went against your supposed "company policy" and told us the damn part was in Golden. I have to agree with others that the people are very nice and knowledgeable at all areas around the shop from the sales staff to the parts and service staff. There was some slight pressure when I was choosing a bike but I expected that. The store is clean and their selection is a little small compared to other shops I visited. Word of mouth and good recommendations kept me coming back to this location. I ended up buying a used bike and was assured that it was mechanically sound and ready to ride. After putting around 200 miles on it, I started getting several lights up on the speedometer. Check engine, battery and low gas. It was running a little rough as well. Took it in and they cleared the codes and sent me on my way. Went and filled the tank but it only took less than 3 gallons to fill. I have a 4.5 gallon tank. Got it home without any new lights on and parked it. Went to go out the next day and the lights came back on immediately. It's now in the shop and not sure what it's going to cost me. Not sure buying a used bike was the best choice, but had a little hope I was getting something at least mechanically sound since I was buying from a dealer. Depending on how this all plays out, I will either be raising or lowering my rating. I have hopes of giving a 5 star rating when this is all said and done. UPDATE: 5 Star review is up. Turns out the battery posts were loose and needed to be tightened. Charged me about 60 bucks to do that, but later that day James, the general manager called me and told me they were refunding that amount since I had just bought the bike and that was something that should have been inspected before they sold the bike. No harm. No foul. I would totally recommend this shop to anyone. read more

I gave them 4 stars because they were super nice to my kids, giving them little goodie bags with bracelets, mini motorcycles and little tattoos in it and the employees were good people. I expect to pay high prices when shopping for Harley products but I also expect quality and although I like my new glasses and nothing was wrong with them I was disappointed to see that I spent over $60.00 on "Genuine HD Quality glasses" that were made in China. Took a trip to see Gods country on the motorcycle and got a flat while in Colorado. I called this Harley dealer and was told by their parts guy named Zane that I could bring the scooter in and it would be fixed the next day. I get the bike towed and take it to him and he says the flat won't be fixed for another week.......now I'm trying to figure out my next move and Zane suggests I trade my bike in for something off from their floor. I asked if he was kidding and he said no that he was serious. I own a RG CVO.......they have nothing in that dealership that can compare to what i own. This young man has no experience deal with customers or any idea on how to show courtesy to the customers that Harley Davidson has. I told him that we spend a lot of money on our bikes and the least he could do is show more courtesy instead of trying to get us out of the dealership. The entire time he had this devious smile that showed he did not care at all about the inconvenience we were going through with our Harley motorcycle. I strongly suggest to look for other dealerships when in need of help ......especially if you're from out of town. I hope he doesn't do this again to any other Harley riders because he will have that dealership lose customers......beware ......Zane in service is very bad for business and customers. read more

High Country is amazing! I work overseas and only home in Denver every two months. When looking for my Low Rider S, I contacted a few dealers in the area. Most gave me auto response or took nearly a week to reply. Not Anders at High Country. He worked with me over skype at odd hours (time difference) to get the bike I wanted and all the add-ons. Anders quickly introduce Tim in parts who couldn't have been more accommodating. Tim and Anders worked closely to get a Thunderhead exhaust and powder coat my wheels at a reasonable price. All work was approved and ordered on after a down payment, approved by their manager Josh (I think is his name) to make sure the bike was ready when I got home. I call that a lot of trust! Upon arriving in a snow storm Anders treated me as though I'd known him for years. I was introduced to all the various departments. I had bought a dynjet power vision to flash the bike, but because I'm a Mac guy the software was not supported on my computer. Tim took care of this by flashing the bike for me at no charge. All of them could not have been nicer. Finally I was directed to finance to complete the deal. It was the only time in my life buying a vehicle that it was entertaining and enjoyable...thanks Richard! After purchase, I've had a few questions on some parts I put on or removed and Tim has continued to be there as support for me....just amazing customer service. This is my first Harley and I was a bit intimidated by owning one for what it stood for, but both Anders and Tim, made me feel right at home and part of the Harley family. All in all the whole experience was A++, and it all started with Anders. I will go nowhere else for service, help, and especially purchase in the future! read more

About ten years ago I was out riding and my clutch cable broke and this happened to be the first Harley dealer I seen, so I pull in and unfortunately they didn't have one in stock, but they loaded my bike in their trailer and gave me a ride home, and even though for a quite a few years this wasn't the closest dealer, it was the one I went to for everything because of their great customer service and the great atmosphere and friendly staff... Now about ten years later, what happened? Soon as you walk in the door that once friendly atmosphere is gone, the new staff just seem like they hate their job and they follow you around and make you feel like you better buy something or get out... The service department isn't the same either, my speedometer quit working so I brought it and they changed the sensor pretty quickly and I was on my way, well that was at the beginning of the year and we had couple months of enough snow days to keep me from riding, so it got nicer again and I put on less than a thousand miles and it quits working again and this time they wanted to be more thorough and had my bike for a week and come to the conclusion that the part they replaced last time failed and I had to fight with them to warranty the part, but they did and turned around and charged me even more for labor!!! I take one long trip and it quits working again, so I bring it back and a week later zoe is calling me because the same part went bad, but they want to take more apart and look deeper, well they did that last time and charged me dearly for it, and I had to go over there and argue with them about it, so a few more days go by and they call me up and come to the conclusion that the chrome cover on the trans which Harley sells is making the sensor hot and failing, well the original sensor lasted over 40k with that cover on, so of course they have to charge me for another one and not thinking about the cover when I picked my bike up and assuming it was in the saddle bag with the paperwork, I get home and noticed it wasn't, they threw it away without my permission... Needless to say, I'm done with high country after years of being a loyal customer and recommending them to friends and family, it's just sad to see what they've become... read more

What happened?? You've changed from the folks I preferred to work with to the dealership that offended me more than any I have ever dealt with. I brought my bikes in there for ten years. One of them was the same bike they had worked on and maintained for a decade selling me many accessories and handling installation and regular service. With lots of accessories, they charged me for the parts, charged me to install, charged me more to work on it and I kept coming back. (I'm slow to offend, but they did manage to get there.) As a matter of fact, have you ever seen a Harley with NO accessories? Unless it's on a train leaving Milwaukee for the first time, there is no such thing. Last week the owner announced: "Policy change". They can could no longer work on the bike because it has too many accessories on it !!!!! (there were no surprises for them since they have been the only ones working on it) Their beef? "it takes longer to work on so we are losing money" WHAAAAT?? If NOBODY walked in their door they would still pay the mechanic the same rate for doing nothing. They don't LOSE money. They just bill it differently. The mechanic gets paid the same and I still pay for extra shop hours and full retail for the parts. I constantly had to go over their invoices anyway because they billed for the wrong parts or parts that weren't installed. (Some of their parts have even been charged at HIGHER than MSRP) As loyal steady customers my wife spent money in the front of the store faster than I could make it. We referred MANY people to them that bought motorcycles. (Guess how that recommendation is going to go from now on !) Loyalty to the customer? They have none. It must be nice to have so many customers standing in line that you can throw the old steady ones away. Oh wait. This is the same dealership that lays off a large number of their mechanics every winter because they have nothing to do. Better dealerships? There certainly are. Average dealerships? Lots of those out there. Worse dealerships? In my mind they now have that title well in hand! read more

My husband and I recently purchased a used Harley from High Country and we had a great experience overall! My husband spoke with James over the phone before coming in to look at the bike and he gave him an idea of the kind of deal we'd be able to make with a trade in. Once we arrived the next day we worked with Tressen, who was wonderful! She made sure we were comfortable and understood everything going on throughout the process. She advised us on what questions to ask and how to make the deal something we were comfortable with. James was very patient and explained everything that we asked him to. After securing the deal, we met Tasmin, Tim, and Richard on our "poker run" to meet the different departments. Every employee we encountered was kind and respectful and seemed to genuinely love HD. We experienced a little hiccup with Richard in finance, but after speaking with Tressen and James it was worked out immediately and with professionalism. I have been riding motorcycles for more than 30 years, many different brands. I bought my first Harley at High Country, went there, not knowing what to expect. The whole purchasing experience couldn't have been more positive. The Sales Staff was knowledgeable and very patient. They helped me narrow down the models and never tried to sell me options I don't need. I ended up test riding six different bikes and could have ridden more if I had wanted. I found a bike that I like and they were able to find one from another dealership with the exact specs rather quickly. The day that I picked up the bike they went through the whole owner's manual, even put little flags in the manual to make it easier to find important chapters, then went through the bike with me in detail, introduced me to everyone in the store, very personal experience. I haven't used their service department yet, so I can't comment on that. I only met the Service Manager and he made a trustworthy impression to me. It is with a heavy heart that I would no longer recommend Harley as a brand to anyone. They have shifted their corporate policies into such a game of jenga that it is impossible to actually speak to anyone who could actually provide customer service. My 2018 breakout, 1 month out of warranty, had catastrophic engine failure with only 1200 miles on it. Harley was kind enough to "good will" the parts, but not the labor. 6 months later, my bike is still no closer to being repaired and Harley is willing to lose my business forever over 1500 dollars. High country has been upstanding to deal with as people, but the reality is, they have no say in what happens. They are just along for the ride and have no real ability to make decisions in their own business. They people making the decisions are hiding behind closed doors to the customer, and never have to explain their decisions. This is not what I over paid for when I bought a Harley. Most people over pay, for the good customer service Harley use to have. I'm hear to tell you, it no longer exist. As nice as the general manager has been, the facts are, other than micro managing the people in their immediate facilities, the proprietors of Harley do not have enough control over their own business to back up Harleys past reputation of customer service. Since Harley has chosen to not do the right thing in this case, just a half measure, I will no longer be doing business with them or wearing their brand. read more

Britt sold me the bike and was very nice and made sure that I was happy with my purchase. After I purchased the bike I needed to do some work to it and Britt referred me to Zoey in the service department who was also extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She took great care of me and my bike. I also purchased a few items from the parts department and they got me exactly what I needed and didn't try to sell me something I didn't. I'm Commenting on the service department as I have not experienced the sales department. We trailored our motorcycle in as it had a flat tire and upon arrival they told us to go ahead and pull around back. Several Harley trailers were already blocking the main service doors so we were forced to unload on a little side entrance door causing us to block the road slightly. one of the maintenance managers, wearing a white shirt, rode up in his Harley and began shaking his head at us because we were blocking HIS way. We asked if he would like us to try and move and he just looked at us like we were the jerks. Then, after unloading the bike, one of the maintenance techs told us he would have the Harley trailers moved so we could pull straight out instead of having to back up through the tightly curved road around the side. After they moved the trailers for us, one of the maintenance staff mocked us as we were leaving joking that we didn't have the skill to reverse the trailor around half the building. Is this a biker gang service center or a business??? We are the customers that bring you business and we deserve not to be mocked or intimidated. We deserve better treatment and service. Avoid this place at all costs as they make the fun and joy of being a Harley owner feel like a biker gang and a cool club that you are not a part of. I own a 2001 Road King which I haven't ridden for roughly 7 years and decided recently to ask High Country to go through the bike and get it running again. While I expected to pay quite a bit I didn't mind because the bike has a lot of sentimental value to me. Imagine my surprise when after three weeks without any response or review I'm told that the bike needs a new fuel tank but Harley doesn't make them anymore so they can't help me, but I could use the bike as a trade in on a new one. When I explained that I didn't want to purchase a new Harley I was politely asked to take my bike out of there shop as they couldn't fix it. My boyfriend of almost five years had been stopping in, he informed the salesman there that he needed to propose before he bought a bike there. The salesman were all about the sale and getting the money and instead of having me come in, they convinced him to buy a bike just like a typical sleazy salesman. After he bought the bike, he went back a couple of hours later because he realized he made a mistake and they refused to take it back. My eight year old son and I are now living at my mother's as this has torn our family apart. My boyfriend informed Harley of this and they could care less. This place is not family oriented and I would say they are far from honest. I wonder how these salesman sleep at night. read more
