BEWARE OFTHIS GUY!! I found "Same day home services" on Yelp, and had RON come out to test the mold…read morewe found in our master bedroom/master bathroom wall. About 2 days later, it tested positive and it was airborne in all rooms, exposed by us because we had demo the wall ourselves trying to find the source of mold. RON offered, if we needed someone to do the remediation, he wouldn't mind driving the hour and half drive to do so. He was able to work with our budget, so we hired him right away. We decided to stay at a hotel, since this was going to take 4 days of work. On the 2nd day my husband needed his work tablet, so he went back to the house late at night and found RON and his friend rolling joints, smoking marijuana and drinking beer in their socks!! My husband also found an extra pair of clothes in the guest bathroom. Needless, to say RON and his friend were planning on staying the night in our house!!! Ron never did deny it when we confronted him about it. We were furious!! We both work in government and can't be around marijuana or we get fired. He didn't seem to care, but apologized to my husband. We wanted to fire RON on the spot, but he was half way done and we didn't have the time nor the budget to hire another person to finish the job. After the job was completed, RON sent us a bill via online transaction but it said, "Payment due OCTOBER 18th". Well, it was only Sept 22. Ron called me and my husband 20 times asking for payment, we explained how it's not due till Oct 18th and showed him a screenshot. He says, "sorry but It's suppose to payment made upon completion and he needs his money. We responded, Fine and paid him. But there was no reason to call us 20 times like that. Extremely unprofessional. Not to mention Ron was NEVER on time to the house, he finished the job a day late, not only did he smoke marijuana and drink beer in our backyard, but he drove off, under the influence instead of getting an uber. I'm just glad nobody got hurt with him on the road and glad my husband caught him when he did!! Initially, RON stated to my husband that it appeared the leak was there for awhile and the mold had been building for a few months, and he would mention that in his final report. But after, all this craziness he decided to change that in his report and in so many words blame the mold and leak was our doing. When we also had a license plumber of 25 years check it out before him and state, it had been there for a few months. Don't trust this guy!!

The service was performed exactly as described and then some. He is 1 of 2 inspectors in the area that offer partial solar panel inspection, but the only one without crazy ad-on fees. He is prompt, easy to communicate with, very personable, clean, and does not miss anything! Not only is the pricing extremely reasonable and competitive, but just a few hours after completion, we had an 83-page report with a table of contents and photos, It was very clear, concise, easy to follow and comprehend. This house is new construction and there were so many things that aren't simple fixes that could become huge problems for us even months into owning the property. As an example, the framework of this house made for crooked doorways and leaning walls. We were shocked we hadn't noticed it before as it is so noticeable in photos! As first time homeowners, we understand that no house may be 100% percent perfect, but things should at least start off on a high note. He made it very clear that things can be fixed and made sure that we understand this is for information only and how we proceed is obviously our decision. He did not try to sway us either way. The project involved multiple contracts and payments, but the billing was never clearly reconciled. Beginning in November 2025, I repeatedly provided written summaries of contracts, payments, and balances and asked for confirmation or correction. I did not receive a clear written reconciliation explaining how totals were calculated or how payments were applied. We eventually met and discussed the project, and while we now understand each other's positions, we do not agree on the outcome. A key issue is the treatment of a prior $18,000 payment within revised kitchen/flooring contracts, which remains in dispute. There were also instances where similar scope appeared across multiple contracts without clear explanation of whether work was included, replaced, or added. In addition, some pricing--particularly electrical work--expanded significantly without clear upfront definition. The project has taken much longer than originally discussed. The ADU was expected to be completed in about 90 days, but more than a year later it is still not fully usable. My kitchen is also not usable. Cabinet doors have not been installed, and the space is filled with materials and items moved during construction, making it difficult to access or use normally. Because I need to use the ADU kitchen due to the condition of the main kitchen, I have been unable to rent out the ADU despite having a tenant ready. I am still trying to resolve the billing issues and get a clear plan to complete the remaining work.
