    Vista close to parking lot.

Great lil short hike with lil pond and sat in the woods and then lil walk with great vistas west. I'm pretty out of shape and this was good and short lil walk.

We discovered this gem of a trail after finding out the road to the dam in Chatfield State Park was closed. I'm so glad it was closed because this trail was perfect for a short hike. On the section we hiked, from Roxborough Park Road to what I assume is the beginning of the trail about two miles east of the parking lot, we walked along a gravel/dirt road. It is fairly flat and an easy hike with beautiful views. We saw great fall colors in the cottonwood forest north of the trail. There are also spectacular views of the front range on the way back to the parking lot. We only saw two other people, on bikes, the entire length of the trail. The only others we saw while hiking were two women on horses down among in the cottonwood trees. One comical moment was when a woman on horseback stopped to use the parking lot portable toilet. The horse did not appear to enjoy waiting outside. This is a great place to take visitors who may not be acclimated to the altitude or able to tackle more strenuous trails.

We are lucky enough to have this very close to our house and winding along the golf course. We walk on the trail almost daily and enjoy watching the seasons change. It's stroller and bike friendly and nice and wide. I've seen all kind of wildlife along the trail like snakes, rabbits, deer and coyotes. Such an awesome community amenity!!

The High Line Canal Trail is roughly 4 1/2 mile trail friendly to bikers, hikers, runners and dog walkers. It almost directly behind my house which makes it easy to access. This trail also connects from the Big Dry Creek Trail East trail head. There aren't any hills and it is mostly flat, making it pretty easy for everyone. I discovered this trail while on a bike ride the other day. The Big Dry Creek trail was pretty short, so when I came to the end I was kind of bummed. Then I saw sign for the High Line Canal trail, so I followed the arrows. Everything is so well marked, it makes it a little easier to find. The trail was gorgeous, filled with trees and green shrubbery everywhere. Unfortunately, the creek was dried up at this time, but I know after it rains a few more times it will fill right back up. The trail took about 1 hour and then I headed back. I would highly recommend this trail for anyone who enjoys bike riding, jogging or walking. The trail is wide enough for everyone and it is beautiful.

My bike sat in the garage until I was able to ride again in March. I pulled the bike out and the rear wheel wouldn't spin. I took it to the shop who did the work (C3 outside of Golden)- the tore it apart and found the hub seal had failed (their words). he tried to rebuild it but couldn't, it was totally corroded. He told me they'd send it to Shimano to warranty but that they doubted they would?! He said it would be at least a few weeks, and Shimano would blame the user for not maintaining it properly. I have had great service in the past at Pedal bike shop so took it to them - with the receipt from the purchase in july. They kept the bike and were doing the same thing as C3. They were denied but fought with Shimano on my behalf and they finally agreed to warranty the hub because the seal had indeed failed. They did the work and I got my bike back. A week after getting my bike, I got a call from the mechanic at C3 who told me - as expected - that Shimano denied the warranty claiming it was 'misuse'???! what.. 2 months? I can't ride my bike and get it wet? how did the water get in the hub? from abuse or misuse?? Replace in July and ridden just over 2 months? When I told him that I'd already gotten my bike back and it had been fully warranted by Shimao (because of the diligence of the Pedal staff), he went silent. He just said, "I'm glad you got your bike back". Why would I go anywhere but Pedal? Clearly, they strive to make things right for their customers - they don't just roll over and say they can't do anything. Pedal is the BEST!!! I had always been a Shimano guy - I couldn't be more disappointed in them and will be writing them a letter.

When I have tried to get help, the shop has acted like they're doing me a favor for fixing the problems they caused. The company tried to call me out for writing a bad review on another platform when I had yet another problem with the bike they sold me. They were condescending and told me I was wrong, my charger isn't a charger issue. They have never once offered an apology for any of the incidents they have caused. I purchased two bikes here but I will never visit again, particularly after being treated like dirt by their service lead They need service industry training for sales and support.

Just wanted to add an update. My 'old' Domane 600 which has become a pretty much full-time trainer…read morebike and only goes outside if my other bike is in the shop for maintenance or repair, had a rear derailleur cable shred. My choices, spend the time getting the cable, figuring out how to replace it, and having to deal with doing things I don't do on a regular basis, and have my trainer down for who knows how long in the middle of winter, or give my LBS a call. Called them and found out they were SUPER busy, and to get it in would likely be a few weeks. Now here is where having a GREAT relationship with the shop and staff comes into play. They know I ride daily, either outside or in, and when I talked to one of the mechanics, I told him what I had found, and the only thing I needed was the cable, which had been shredded because a few years ago we had to replace the original Ultegra shifter with a 105 because the new Ultegras were 12-speed, and those 105 shifters had a known issue with shredding cables. He asked if I could get the bike to him that afternoon, and since I had just gotten off of it, working out with a limited number of gears, I told him I could be right down. Got him the bike (along with something to restock the shop fridge), and had it back by the next afternoon. So: a) Mike's has always come through for me, and I can't sing their praises enough, b) make sure to keep a good relationship with your LBS staff. If they know you, know your name, and you stop by even occasionally to just say hi or help restock the fridge, it does pay benefits. Thanks Guys. Best service department around bar none. Mike and the rest of his team will help you not only figure out what might be going on with your bike (bottom bracket issues, rear hub needing maintenance, headset bearings worn out) and get them fixed. Just had my bike in for a major tune after having put over 35k miles on it and have to say it is riding like a new bike. That is what I look for. And the sales staff is the same, they help you, don't just sell you. Have bought 4 bikes there and when it is time for the next one I will definitely be down there test riding and checking out what is out there.
