If it's your first time then you have to use one of the tablets to sign a waiver; this only takes a minute or two. Once signed you'll show your ID to the staff upfront. It's a quick check in. This interactive gym that's got climbing walls, a yoga studio and a regular exercising area are spacious and clean. I mostly saw young/younger generations of people but didn't you worry; I'm very much middle aged and although it was my first time climbing today and I was able to manage most of the beginner/entry level ones with no issues. We all did some sort of climbing when we were younger, right? Then all you have to do is to let that younger self come out of you!! Depending on your experience level, you'll get to pick where you want to do your climbing (the levels are clearly marked.) It was a busy night at this fun gym but people were very respectful to each other taking turns. I walked around the entire facility to check things out and I was impressed as to how immaculately they maintain the place. Even women's locker room was extremely clean with no trash or whatsoever. I didn't realize that climbing was also a good cardio workout. This was much needed exercise for me for sure. If you end up making blisters just walk up to the front desk and ask for a band-aide or two. They appear to have several locations in the Denver metro area so if you see one in your neighborhood go check it out. ***Note*** You can rent climbing shoes so you don't need to own them. Make sure you soak yourself in a warm bath with epsom salt after the climbing because you WILL be sore (LOL)!

But the climbing compared to the other gyms was just meh. Englewood is still the biggest Movement location in Colorado as of April 2024. Work was still being done in the women's locker room and hang boards were still pending as of April 6, 2024. Parking was plentiful. That was nice. There wasn't a lot of seating next to outlets. Nothing special here either - there was talk of a sauna and/or steam room but I guess it didn't pan out. But a nice option for climbing if you are in the area.

All equipment we needed was provided. He gave us tips and tricks on improving our skills and let us try out different pieces of equipment. He also recommended a better climbing area due to weather which we appreciated. There was multiple points of contact before the meet-up to plan and ask questions, and he was flexible about rescheduling after our flight was cancelled. He even offered pick up and drop off as we didn't have a rental car. He tailored the climbs to our skill level where we felt challenged without it being too hard. It's always very clean and the temperature is regulated beautifully. The music changes a ton day-to-day but it's always the right stuff to listen to while climbing. i went here instead of EarthTreks on a trip to Denver assuming it'd be a full-size bouldering gym,…read morebut it was really just two small rooms. i was able to do pretty much every route in my climbing range (v2-v4) in less than an hour. on the other hand, there were only a few other people there on a sunday afternoon. instead of number ratings, they just label them with easy/medium/hard. the routes were pretty well set for such a small gym but overall pretty similar to each other. some were pretty reachy (i thought, as a 5'2 person).

It definitely felt much more like a real community than other more corporate-like businesses I have been to and the prices felt fair. One of my favorite parts of DBC was that there were a bunch of dogs. The bouldering setup itself seemed well laid out and had a decent amount of options for beginners to experts (the ranking there goes from E to M to H). As a beginner, there were 4-5 for me to do which kept me busy enough. The weights area is pretty bare but I'm assuming most people go there for the bouldering and not to lift weights.

Staff is great, not just because I know some of the instructors, and there's plenty of parking. I thought the bouldering routes were more challenging than those at other Movement gyms, but they're just holds I'm less used to. Definitely coming back more often, and perhaps next time I'll bring my climbing harness.

The intro class included a climbing shoe rental and access to a chalk bag to help with grip. Even though I was initially intimidated, I was surprised, and delighted to find the atmosphere was the most welcoming, supportive And inclusive fitness space I have ever been in. It seems this climbing gym is also a very social space. They have social events on Monday nights, trivia on Thursdays and there is a bar within the climbing gym so that people can have a beer and hang out after they're done climbing. This place is huge with a variety of climbing walls. At this Denver location. It is exclusively bouldering and no option for ropes climbing but the location in Louisville offers stop. The location is awesome and it's a short walk from downtown Denver or the Denver Art Museum area , and surprisingly it seemed that parking was pretty easy to find nearby. When I came in for the first time, they were offering an introductory special of two weeks for $35 which included an intro to bouldering class that is two hours long. All the memberships include unlimited access to climbing, and some guest passes, though I'm not sure of the specific number. Not only is the atmosphere more accessible than I anticipated but the membership pricing is also some thing that is more accessible than I anticipated. I could not have had a better first experience in a climbing gym, and I'm so grateful to Tristan for his patience and inclusivity for somebody who knew absolutely nothing about climbing. The staff at the front desk was also very warm and welcoming, and the attendees of the intro class were all friendly and supportive. I was also impressed by the create variation of skill levels for the climbing routes. There is some thing for everyone and the ability to progress and improve. The space was also clean and the crash pads were very safe. 10 out of 10 would recommend to a friend.

He was trying to find solutions to make it work and it did. They have a large space with many routes. The bouldering space is fairly large. Clean and everything in good condition. We came here for an afternoon of climbing while in town visiting family. It was my first time here,…read moreso it took a good 30 mins before getting to the actual climbing because of needing to sign a waiver, watch a safety video, and take a belay test. I'm an experienced climber, but I understand the need to do these things to ensure safety. They have a lot of auto belay stations set up which is nice if you're coming here alone or want to try something different than your partner. They have some great top rope routes but I was really surprised how much of the gym was closed! I understand doing some construction work and resetting routes, but I wish they didn't decide to do this on three separate areas all at the same time. Two big sections on the main climbing walls were closed, and the entire upstairs was roped off as well. If they're going to have a third of the gym top rope routes closed, I feel like they need to give a discount on their day pass rate. It was pretty congested at times with all the climbers there trying to fit on the smaller sections of wall that were available. I'm sure they wouldn't close this many routes at once on a busy weekend, but I was pretty bummed that they did on the day we were there. It wasn't the best first impression for me, so I'd probably try a different gym next time we are here visiting.
