Plus there's sometimes really cool community events here, like the one they had with a professor talking about the total solar eclipse in 2017. If you want a book and this branch has it but another High Plains Library branch does, they'll order it for you and you can pick it up here. The staff are usually extremely kind and helpful, too. It's just a great library in general.

And calling it simply a "library" honestly, doesn't do it justice. Of course, LINC has everything you'd expect from a great library, including books and resources for people of all ages. But it goes so much further than that. This is a technology center, a learning space, a creative hub, and a place where people can come to learn, create, imagine, experiment, and think beyond the world they already know. What I love most is that LINC create opportunities to channel curiosity, and creativity into something meaningful. It gives people access to tools, knowledge, technology, and experiences that can open doors they may not have realized existed. There is something incredibly powerful about having a community space that encourages people to ask, "what else is possible?" Instead of simply teaching people what already exists, LINC encourages the community to imagine what could exist. The possibilities here genuinely feel endless. This is the kind of institution that can help expand perspectives, inspire creativity, develop new ways of thinking, and ultimately create positive change within the community. If you think a library is just a building full of books, go visit LINC. It might completely change your definition of what a library can be. Hands down, my favorite library.

I had a very disappointing experience at the library today…read more I was printing a large set of documents when the printer jammed. I'm a teacher, so I'm very familiar with these exact printers and know how to clear a paper jam. However, I also understand that many businesses prefer employees to handle jams themselves to avoid damage, so I went to the front desk and politely said, "Hey, I just jammed the printer. Could someone help me?" The employee's response was simply, "So?" I honestly just stared at her because I couldn't believe it. I said, "I can unjam it, I guess," and she replied, "No, no." I then asked what would happen to my print job since it stopped in the middle of printing. I had already loaded $20 onto my printing card because I was printing a large number of documents. I wasn't worried about a few cents--I just wanted to know if the print job would resume or if I would have to send everything through again and be charged twice. Instead of answering my question, she laughed and said, "We'll refund your pennies." The issue was never about the money. It was about getting a simple question answered and being treated with basic respect. Her comment was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. To make matters even more frustrating, it took nearly 40 minutes before I was able to finish printing my documents. As someone who has worked with these same printers for years in a school setting, I know a typical paper jam can usually be cleared and the printer back up and running in just a few minutes. Waiting that long wouldn't have bothered me nearly as much if someone had communicated what was going on or treated me with courtesy. I understand that machines malfunction. What I don't understand is treating patrons with sarcasm and dismissiveness when they're simply asking for help. Customer service costs nothing, and unfortunately this experience was one of the rudest I've had at a library.

Its easy to find items and my daughter frequently gets a pile of books every time we go. It has in the past always been easy to get a computer when we have needed it at this location as well. THough i have not tried since covid happened. We are always happy going to this location. And definitely feel safe going to this location the downtown location unfortunately that is not the case anymore.

Typically I do not require assistance as I usually put items on hold so just visit to pick them up or return them outside, but I've never had any issues doing so.

People speak on speaker phone and play music loudly without earphones. This is not the fault of the library but the staff does not support with it at all or stop it. Definitely do not come if you need quiet or need to focus, if you need to do something where quiet doesn't matter then it is a fine place.

I'm writing this review from the perspective of a mom with small children. This library has a good…read moreselection of books for young kids, and quite a lot of books in different languages as well, all within reach so that they can make their own choices. The children's area is at the back of the library, and there are several comfortable areas to sit and read with the kids. The large windows in this area provide plenty of natural light, and also allow inquisitive children to look down upon people and cars milling around below, and watch the dogs playing at the dog park. There are also educational activity centers in this area, so the kids can move around a bit. This my kids' favorite Fort Collins library.

At one of the reading areas, there is a puzzle area. It's a long high top table with two puzzles and it's named a "community puzzle" area. While getting ready to leave, I noticed a laptop kiosk. You may check out a laptop for use. Never seen this before at a library. Brilliant! There are also six rows of desktop computers to use along with a print station. So glad I stopped here this afternoon. Check their website for daily hours of operation. Today's (Sunday) hours are 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Looking forward to returning here during my next trip to FoCo!
