At the end, he walked us through everything verbally before sending the written report, which was extremely helpful. He explained what really mattered, what was more routine, and what we should keep an eye on, all in plain language. That conversation alone made the whole inspection feel much less stressful. Joe was also very flexible and accommodating with our tight schedule, which we really appreciated. When the written report came through, it was thorough, clear, and matched exactly what he had already explained to us in person. On the scheduling side, Christina was fantastic. She was professional, responsive, and quick to follow up. Coordinating the inspection was smooth and efficient, even with a compressed timeline, and communication was clear every step of the way. Overall, we had a really positive experience with First Choice Inspectors. Between Joe's knowledge and communication and Christina's excellent coordination, everything felt well organized and well handled. We'd absolutely recommend them and would happily work with them again.

I called Mr. Connellan on 1/25/24 to set up a home inspection appointment for Saturday 1/27/24 at…read more2pm. Mr. Connellan came in to inspect the home. After he finished inspecting, he went over some of the things that concern to us. While he was explaining to us, I asked him a question and he answered me impolitely and I just let it go. He mentioned about radon inspection while he was discussing about home inspection, which we called him a couple days later and asked him to do a radon inspection. He did not have technician available until Thursday. We need it to be done ASAP. Therefore, we clearly told Mr. Connellan that we will let you know ONLY if we decide to go with you for radon inspection. Someone else was available to do radon inspection very next day so we decided to go with them. Thursday Mr. Connellan called me, I was not able to get his call at the moment, so I called him back. He picked up my call and told me that his technician went to the location to setup a radon inspection, but he found that it is already in progress. Also, he said that now he has to pay his technician. I told Mr. Connellan that I clearly told him that we would call him ONLY if we decided to go with him. So now my question to Mr. Connellan is that what part of our conversation he is missing? Mr. Connellan kept asking me the same question and I kept giving him the same answer I mentioned in above paragraph. Then he told me not to keep repeating myself. Then WHY you were asking me the same question Mr. Connellan? Furthermore, he told me that you do not hire 2 people for same job. I know that very well Mr. Connellan that I do not need 2 people for 1 same job. He also said to me that I am being ridiculous and unethical. In conclusion I think Mr. Connellan is very unprofessional, rude and impolite. I definitely WILL NOT recommend Mr. Connellan for home inspection to my friend's family or anyone else.

Any concern brought up, I was either gaslit , ignored or the builder didn't follow through either b/c he forgot or didn't care ( who can say ? ). After two agonizing years, i finally moved in yet was brimming with questions that could only be answered by a respected 3rd party expert. I knew there were areas of the house that were not constructed properly yet having been gaslight so many times, I was confused on what all was defective vs. normal. Big thank you to Mark w/ Domicile, who was my Lead Inspector. Mark carries decades of experience in which I found him to be fair, firm, patient and very educative. Shout out to him for answering ALL of my questions (there were many). Mark's report was very thorough in which I can now focus on areas that need to be addressed. To anyone out there building a custom home, don't make the same mistake I did in waiting until after your move in / final occupancy to book Domicile. Very important! Thank you Domicile/ Mark.

At first I didn't think I needed an inspection since it was a newer condo and it looked in good shape. But I was able to get credits from the seller from his findings that paid for the inspection and then some. They also had one of the lower prices when i compared with other inspectors.

Incredibly poor service and lack of accountability. We hired this company for a home inspection,…read moreand they completely missed extensive mold on the basement ceiling caused by a leaking steam shower. This oversight ended up costing us $15,000 to remediate and repair. When we confronted them, they came back out to the property and saw the visible mold themselves, yet they still refused to take full responsibility. Instead, they offered a insulting $1,200 settlement. I highly recommend looking elsewhere if you want a thorough and honest inspection. The pictures below show the mold found on the basement ceiling, as well as the mold discovered after we had to rip apart our shower. It's funny Ross says what the public should know.   First the adjacent steam shower unit he talks about is 14' away from the actual shower that was leaking. And was not leaking during inspection.  This was noted that it was fixed years earlier by the previous owner.  The closing of the house was not 90 days after the inspection it was the normal 45 days that is very common. Also the lack of construction experience by CBI.  When first confronted about the leak I was informed in an email that we were told there was caulk issues around the shower. Anyone that has ever put in or been around a walk in shower knows the shower doesn't leak because of the water proofing membrane.  Not caulk.  What this means is the shower should not leak before tile, grout, and caulk are installed.  Once again not experienced with construction practices. All I have to say is watch what you sign when hiring a building inspector. We were denied by there insurance company due to waivers being signed taking all liability away from CBI before they even stepped foot on the property to perform the inspection.  Oh yeah.  I didn't mention the house down the street that they missed the kitchen sink leaking and the wall of mold behind it. Got our family twice they did.
