Full disclosure: I don't live here. My cousin does, but I have visited her at her apartment complex. This review is based on what I have seen, and what she has told me. What I've seen: They have many amenities for the people who live here. They have a nice gym, a conference/work room with a very nice coffee/cappuccino maker. They have a "hangout" area complete with tv, shuffle board (I think that's what it's called) table, Pool table, poker table, kitchen area, and possibly more that I'm forgetting. They of course have a pool. They are also situated over a private parking garage. I was very impressed with everything I saw and definitely feel that this would be an ideal place to live if you want to be downtown. My cousin's apartment also has a great view of downtown. From what my cousin has told me: It's quiet. The people are very friendly. They have gatherings for people who live there so you can get to know your neighbors, and also have a great time. You can rent out the hangout area for parties. You are allowed to have pets there if you pay a pet fee of course. She has a cat and a dog, so I know this to be true. My cousin loves living there, and I certainly can't wait to visit her more often. read more

I applied at these apartments in June of 2024. I paid the application fee & administration fee (have documentation proving it). I signed my lease for apartment 2313 & even went through the PetScreening. I received a call from management stating base off the talk from my last apartment complex manager to wait & call back in a couple months but I wouldn't have to worry about application or admin fee because I already paid. I even paid my deposit to move in (have documentation for that too). I received a new collection on my credit from them stating I didn't pay. I reached out to them multiple times & even emailed with my documentation so they can reach to the creditors to get it taken off. No one has reached back out to me. The next thing is to sue for distressed & falsely claimed credit. I am trying to get into an apartment but application can't be completed until I resolved the issue with these apartments. read more

Elevator has been closed for 3 weeks and the fire alarm system is always beeping. Not a great place to live in.

Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful clubhouse, and pool area, Repairs handle quickly. Monthly events for residence.

I lived there for a year basically all of 2024 and my experience there was amazing. Andres was the perfect manager that always cared so much about the people living there and if there was ever a problem he would drop anything to find a solution. I sadly had to move because of school but if you are debating whether to live here or not just tour the place and let it speak to you! read more

I love my apartment. I love the staff!! Maintanence requests are fulfilled within a day or two. Everyone is friendly! I love the events they host so we can get to know our neighbors!!! I've met some great people who live here too. I really am just thoroughly happy with the fact that I was able to move here from LA, California. Not nice behavior from staff at the leasing office. As a tenant that have been here for 2 years and never caused any problem, I don't think that is a nice attitude from the leasing office with tenants and specially the staff (Missy) do not care about tenants. She charged us for late payment in a month that their online payment system were down and we were out of town so we paid using money order and we wrote to her that we paid on the 6th of the month which was after the weekend that we were out of town. She said in the email that it is ok. But still she charged us for late payment. I think many other things are late in this building: For example the fence in the dog park fell down completely last week and now there is no wall separating the park from the street. The dogs can not use it and people from outside can get inside. This has not been fixed for 6 days now which is longer than our LATE payment. I am attaching a picture of it here. Also there is always trash in the trash chute , pics attached. 2 years ago when we signed the contract here, the leasing office said that they are going to fix the dog park, the grass is not nice and it becomes a lake after any rain and not usable. They have not done anything about it yet. I think this is LATE. Pics attached. I saw cockroaches in the apartment and in the hallways, I informed them and they said they are going to spray the hallways but they did not. This was 4 months ago , also there are cockroaches at the pool area around the bbq place which is disgusting. Pics attached. Again I believe with all these issues the behavior Missy had with a tenant they us is not nice and I felt so humiliated . This is not a mature and civilized behavior to play with words and change what you have said before just for 140$. I think as a manager of the leasing office, Missy needs to know how to talk to different people and have happy tenants. This is our home and we need to feel nice here. read more

Exceptional!! These apts are top tier. From any issues that need service to the front office staff, I have no complaints. I have been here for 1yr & love it. Missy, the office manager, is the best. She is always smiling & will run herself ragged to make sure us tenants are happy. Andres & Jessica go over & beyond when you tell them anything that needs to be done. The pool & amenities are always available & clean. The gym is a great one in this area. The apts are quiet & secure. I don't own a dog but the dog park is literally the size of a field! The location is ideal to wherever you possibly need to be. The tenants are fun to hang around. The only thing that I will speak on is I wish we had more community events. Jump on these apartments ASAP because they fill up quick. read more

Very unprofessional and unwelcoming staff . After being approved, they gave me a really hard time about providing proof of income, which is understandable because I am a contractor. What isn't, is that they actually ignored my emails and phone calls for an entire two days . I confirmed this by having friends email and call who were instantly replied to / answered . I don't want to call them racist but they definitely didn't want me there . I firmly believe that if my friend didn't call and mention my name, they never would have gotten back to me. A simple "no" would have been ok. They instead dragged the process for an entire week and now I'm forced to find a new apartment in less than 4 days . read more

You would be better to spend your money elsewhere. I have lived here for over a year and as promising as High Point could be, Greystar has completely ruined it. This has been the worst experience I have ever had. I moved here initially because I thought I would save on rent but it seems I have actually spent far more money from the vandalism that has been happening on property for months. I do not feel safe here and management has been negligent on providing any sort of peace of mind for its residents. There are three useless security cameras that took months to even get working (not sure they even work now). Safety hazards are slow to be fixed and it takes several emails or in person attempts to even be acknowledged. read more

I just want to take this time to praise the leasing staff where I live. I have lived in a few nice apts here in HTX & High Point has exceeded my expectations thus far. It's been about 3 months now. When I moved in they had a nice gift for me & apt was perfect. I stop by the ofc mostly on my way to get my packages there is always some1 there to greet me. I recently ordered a new bed and the delivery guy put a big scratch in my front door. I was pissed venting 2 my neighbor about it & the maintenance guy over heard me. He said he noticed it the other day and it was fixed this morning. I just love this place. read more

High Point Uptown - The Leasing office - Apartments Near Me - Houston, Texas

We have been here fir 2 years and the management gets worse everyday. Their online payment portal was down for June rent and they emailed and asked everyone to pay rent by check or money order. We were out of town and couldn't do that on time. We emailed them and informed them that we will get them the check when we are back and they said it is fine. We delivered then the check on June 5th while the regular monthly due date is 3rd. A few days later we saw $150 late fee on our account. We talk to them and they said we shouldn't be worried about it and they would remove it. By the time of July rent it was still there, again we talked to them and they asked us to pay the rent and they would add a credit back to our account for the next month. That never happened. Now they say they are not going to remove the late fee because we already paid it. It is a fraud. It was not our fault that their portal was down. There have been many other issues recently like elevators being down for several days many times, loud people in the pool area very late in night, ... We will definitely move out at the end of the contract read more

Racial profiling or ethnic profiling is the act of suspecting with these apartments. After being approved I was asked to provide unnecessary documents such as (Cash App) statements and had to write a essay literally explaining to them on a dotted line 2 month worth of transactions Where certain transaction came from ? Why were they made ? Who they were sent to ? Why did I send them ? What relations do I have with them? After providing all this documentation I was then told I needed a notarized letter from my teacher confirming I was in school. After getting the letter that wasn't enough. I was then told I needed proof of my sons identity that he's mine. Ok fine I sent in all those documents just for me to receive another email stating my approval was switched to denied and was told due to 2 late car payments back in 2020 which was during the pandemic I wasn't approved. THIS WAS BY FAR MY WORST APT HUNTING EXPERIENCE EVER. Honestly I would have felt better if they would have just told me we don't accept your kind here and I would have felt much better then for them to give me the run around and provide all the documents just to still tell me no. read more

I stayed at high point for a little over year but I loved it. Never had issues here except with leasing agent that gave me the wrong apt and view so once I moved in I had no other choice but it was still pool view so I did not pull a Karen. If not for sure a 5 star. : ) read more

I have been living here for more than a year, dogs walk without leash and POOP everywhere, nobody enforces with cameras or fines. The worst was when several cars, including two of mine, got vandalized inside the garage BY A NEIGHBOR (June 2020), it kept happening for 3 more weeks to more cars, the apartment complex got nothing on video - because they have like 3 useless cameras - we the neighbors, had to find video on a dash-cam to find out who is the vandal; the guy was allegedly kicked out but the family STILL LIVES HERE after more than a month after the first cars got vandalized. The owner of the property is not willing to hire security or to install additional cameras, anything can happen at any time and nobody will find out. If you have a car DO NOT MOVE HERE, nobody can guarantee that it is not going to be vandalized or items stolen from inside, or that you will not be attacked inside the garage or building. THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE. read more

I wanted to share my positive experience as a resident at High Point Uptown. I feel that most people just write reviews when unhappy or angry. I have had a very positive experience here. I was transferred here for work. I was new to the city and wanted to find a safe place close to work. Even though I was only here for a short time, the friendly and professional staff members at High Point really left an impression. I've been living here for a short period of time but I am very happy and loving how things are going so far. The dog park is so big that my dog gets back to the apt exhausted from running and playing, my friends and I really enjoy playing pool or poker at any given time. (amenities are open 24/7). Neighbors are very friendly and parking is never an issue. The leasing staff has been very helpful and very accommodating since moving in. 10/10 overall :D read more

Unbelievable! Staff (Jesus) had shown me a 2 bedroom, pool-facing unit. Only after I was charged $165 application fee, had I been told that the apartment was already booked WITH SOMEONE ELSE! I could have accepted a mistake (it happens), but I was never told the unit was double-booked. Only after I had attempted to contact them several times to find out why I have not been given a lease yet, did they finally fess up to this little "oversight". And actually, they never really did fess up. They said they would check with "corporate", then never had the decency to return my phone calls. This all happened 1 week prior to my move-in date! If Harvey wasn't enough to worry about, dealing with a shady starter-up apartment complex who shows little care about they're potential tenants just tops the cake. High Point? The only good thin in this building is the leasing office team. They are really friendly and trying to do their best, but... they are lease professionals, not engineers or technicians. On the high levels of building rooftop AC's buzzing all days and nights long. On the lower levels - floor is shaking because of the vent system between them. So, that's really reminds being in subway. Over the month "third party" can't fix the entrance gate to the garage, so it's free way to come in and out there. This is really paper house which is jolting every time when cars passing through the streets. Can't wait till the contract will end I'll never refer to live here it to any of my friends. read more

Great staff and an amazing brand new apartment complex! Walked in there without any notice and they accommodated us in their schedule. Lydia Ezeakor did an amazing job to the point where we left the complex only to return 1 hr later to file the application. Lydia and Jesus are a great team and made sure all our questions were answered. We requested to see the unit one more time before signing and without hesitation were taken up there! Thank you both once again, we need more people like y'all that understand the needs of clients and not push your products. The apartment is brand new with only 20% occupancy. I've been living at HighPoint Uptown for almost 2 years and everything seems to be okay until you need managements help. A few weeks ago my car and several others cars were vandalized by a RESIDENT over the span of a week and a half. The lack of security was brought up to management's attention and they said there was nothing they could do. The property has a couple of poorly positioned cameras ONLY by the leasing center garage. It takes several emails and in person walk ins to get a response from anyone at the complex and they will avoid you for as long as they can. I have also experienced someone trying to open my apartment door on several occasions to the point where I had to install a camera outside my door. Safety is a huge factor in choosing a place to be your home. I do not feel safe here and it seems that management does not care about the safety and experience of their tenants and our belongings. Leasing office was completely empty on a Saturday? Or I wouldn't know? I called ten times and waited at the gate and no one answered. I came back and hour later and no one was there as well. As a real estate professional who regularly places clients at higher end locations such as High Point Uptown, I must say I could not be more dissatisfied with how they treat those who bring them clients. Placed a client there in August with assurances of 30 day turnaround on commission invoice. Delay after delay later and now nearly 90 days since placing the client at the complex, still no word other than they are working on payment now. In the now 60 days since the invoice was due for payment, I have experienced consistent non returned calls, changes in requirements and virtually every delay tactic in the book. I'd caution any real estate professional to be wary when placing your clients at this complex. read more

Very fraudulent apartment complex. I will report them to the state of Texas. I've applied and was approved. Andres sent me a rental quote different from what he wanted me to signed on the lease. He notified me not to worry about the price on the lease, and that they can't change the market value on the lease. Lies! Lies! Because market values changes everyday. Everyone knows signing a lease is important in case of discrepancies, you will be referred back to the lease. After back and forth with emails and Andres sending me a handwritten note on a separate sheet for me to signed, claimed it would be add to my lease after I signed it, that's when I became weary and didn't signed the lease. I emailed Andres to express my concerns and never heard back from him, someone else responded with "we can't give you your money back". Do your research with this apartment complex and stay away from shady business practices like this.Time is valuable and money is expensive. read more

Let's start off with this, if you are looking for easy move in, help along the way, all questions answered, your best interests at heart, and an amazing location, you need to get to High Point fast and ask for Andres! Staff is extremely unprofessional. They took pictures of my apartment without me knowing and sent the pictures to me in an email. The fact that pictures were taken makes me feel so uncomfortable and unsafe. Currently working with my lawyer to file a complaint. read more

This building deserves no star. Granted it's a new building however it's POORLY managed. Gates, doors, ELEVATORS are always broken, no safety or security. No one in the leasing office has a clue to what's going on and if they do they definitely don't communicate. If I didn't have a lease I would move immediately leave. Elevator in building 2 has been broken for 2 days! Tenants having to take the stairs without any notice up several flights. There are disabled people living in the building and no care or consideration for them, all we've received is excuses. Greystar needs to get a whole new management team along with maintenance crew or new company if they work with 3rd party. I would not live here or renew my lease. Now I know why they are offering 2 months for free. read more
