This family owned farmers market is in it's own small building. It was very interesting to me because this is the first place I found that sells raw milk. It is not something I personally drink but advocates claim that the pasteurization of milk destroys the nutrients, enzymes, and good bacteria. Benefits of raw milk may include more nutrients, improved digestion, and enhanced immune function. Others believe that the benefits are outweighed by health risks associated with consuming raw dairy products. The raw products sold here state they are not for human consumption. In addition to raw milk they also sell raw milk kefir, raw yogurt, raw cheese, raw butter, and raw milk ice cream. Other products they sell include organic produce grown in Southwest Ranches, local honey, hormone free and grass fed meat and seafood, farm fresh eggs, bath and beauty products, bread, and fresh made key lime pies. Staff was on hand to helpfully answer customers questions. I do believe that food is medicine and that it can heal you. This market subscribes to that philosophy. It is a niche for people who don't mind paying more to know where there food comes from, want clean ingredients, or are into a particular lifestyle choice. If you are looking for a large selection or inexpensive prices, this is probably not for you but I enjoyed my visit.

A student of mine told me that her mother sold eggs in August and I asked if I could buy some. Funny thing, the chickens were not laying at that time. Right after Thanksgiving, she walked in with a dozen of these beauties. They run $8/dozen and are so worth it. I grew up going to the egg farm in a small town in Massachusetts. I remember surprising my mom one time by riding my bike the five miles and back to bring her two dozen eggs. Yes, that was a one time thing. When the farmer sold his farm after his wife died, the chickens stopped laying eggs for almost a year. Chickens are sensitive to change in their environment. I've bought some other heirloom eggs recently from Southwest Ranches area and I didn't get sick but they made my stomach crawl. The woman from that business also said that her chickens were not laying eggs. Maybe those were old? Maybe they were not organic like these.

It is a great way to discover a new favorite while supporting small businesses. This was my first time visiting the market and I was impressed. Unlike a lot of famer's markets this one actually had produce. Other vendors were selling candles, fresh squeezed lemonade. juice, boutique clothes, barbecue, pizza local honey, Puerto Rican street food, bori bowls, floral arrangements, plant based oat bars, shrimp scampi, spices, all natural pet food and treats, and more. A lot of stalls had places set up where you could eat a meal. Many of the vendors offered samples so you could try their food. The Norwegian waffle guy even gave me a heart shaped waffle to share with Taco. The waffles and spices smelled like heaven. Those are two of the places I would start with next time I come back. If there is a drawback to this market it is that it is held in an open field in direct sun so it can get hot. Wear sunscreen. At least there is no admission or parking fee like at the Hollywood Yellow Green Market. I would definitely come back because there are a lot of unique vendors here.

This past Saturday I decided to stop by and came across House of Lola cookie booth and I bought 5 cookies and got 1 for free. She has Biscoff, Signature Chocolate Chip, Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip, Cookies and Cream, Fruity Pebbles & S'mores. The owner and her son are so sweet and they took my order and I was able to pay with Apple Pay. I ended up getting one of each because the owner was running a promotion where you buy 5 and get 1 free and I can confirm each and every single flavor she has so incredible. The cookies are so rich and indulgent! My absolute favorite was the cookies and cream, but two chocolate chip options are a close second. I love that you can truly taste the flavor in the Biscoff cookie, if you're a cereal lover, the Fruity Pebbles cookie is great, and the S'mores is so nostalgic with a yummy marshmallow. I highly recommend this market if you're looking for something to do in the area on a Saturday morning/afternoon and you should absolutely stop by House of Lola's tent and get a few sweet treats for yourself and your loved ones!

I picked strawberries and that weekend I made crepes with fresh strawberries ands fresh whipped cream. Another time, I stopped to pick their humongous sunflowers. Last year they had so much more to offer. I picked red and green leaf lettuce, baby carrots, tomatoes, green onions, strawberries. I saw a sign for fresh coconut ands sugar cane for sale but I think you need to call the number to request those items. There is a flat fee of $25 for a large box. You fill the box with whatever you choose to pick. It's on the honor system. You can Zelle the farm the money or put cash in a box. It is pure wholesome fun and the quality of the fruit and vegetables is excellent. I enjoy supporting local farmers and would love to see this farm prosper. This farm is peaceful and relaxing.
