I had a check engine light that nobody from Portland all the way down to Modesto could figure out. After going through 5 O2 sensors and countless labor hours at multiple shops, Tina made sure her guys went through every bit of wiring to figure out what was wrong. They had my truck from opening to closing with her guys going through everything to find the problem. Only her shop was able to figure out that the ground wire was gone, which was why the sensor kept blowing. Tina and her guys also changed a sensor on my transmission that went out due to a bad service change in Portland before driving down. They had the sensor, and was much cheaper than anybody else. In all, Tina and all of the guys that were working on my truck were amazing. They talked to me while they were finishing up my truck, offered me drinks, even hung out and talked after they were all done. This is a small shop that shows they truly care about their customers. Their work was better than anybody else that I entrusted my truck to, their prices were way better, and they took the time to make sure every problem with my truck was fixed before they let me get in to take it away. On the next day I took my car to another mechanic hoping for a better outcome. Thanks to my instinct I didn't just believe the first answer. My car really needed a fuel pump, but I'm assuming this place will make more $ by " replacing " the whole engine rather than looking for the real issue. They did an inspection and performed the repair very quickly. The service consultants I spoke to were both incredibly helpful and clearly explained their thoughts about whether the service was even necessary. Guy that took my info seemed disinterested. When I called later they recommended that I replace the idle air control valve and see if that works. I brought it to them to fix, not tell me what to fix. I asked them to replace it so they can verify afterwards, besides, I need it smoged which I was hoping they could do once fixed. Next day I call later in the day and they had just finished replacing the part and supposedly drove it around. I could tell by his language it seemed they knew it wasn't the issue. I asked if the monitors set so they can smog it. He said they drove it 10 miles and everything was fine. And I should come get it and drive to to make sure it's fixed. Why are they wanting a customer to make sure it's fixed? Thats their job. Not give the car back and say 'let us know if that worked'. Soon as I started the truck and plugged in my scan tool to read live data I could immediately tell it wasn't fixed! Immediately. So I went to pull the truck back around to the shop in the back where these so called mechanics are and my check engine light came on. Haha. When I explained to them they act shocked. Im directed to speak to this old guy in the back that looks like he can't get out of a chair. That guy doesnt talk to you directly, he talks to another mechanic who then talks to you. Even though your right there in front of him. We're all speaking clear English. He claims to be hearing impaired but the middle man guy is talking the same volume as I was. Waste of $240 bucks plus time off work to drop off and pick up. They offer to look at it in a couple days but this place is an absolute circus. I'd say theyre basically a lube and smog shop. Not real troubleshooting and repair. Even their smog guy literally said "I don't know I'm just the smog guy" good luck to you if you come here. I won't be back. Im sure they'll defend themselves.
