Took my vehicle to a mechanic and he said it was the transmission and that I needed to take it to a transmission shop so I brought the car here. The guy said it wasn't a transmission issue, might be a clog cat comverter. so I took it to another mechanic and he said the transmission is bad so he's putting in a new one in for me. Earlier today I spoke to my mother in law and she asked me to take her to ABC Transmission to pick up her car. They told her they cleared the codes so she's good. Well her car needs a new transmission too. This place is ridiculous. Not going back or recommending this place to anyone. read more

Went in not knowing what the problem was with my 2014 GMA Sierra truck! After a couple minutes Alfredo had diagnosed the problem! That day they pulled my transmission and replaced the front pump and thermostat and checked out the rest! I picked it up the next day ready for a road trip to Idaho there work was impressive my mileage went up and no more slipping this isn't the first time ive had work done here! We have a 2013 Ford Escape, which we bought new in late 2012. It now has just under 40,000 miles - and zero repairs needed in those eight years. But on a recent grocery run, suddenly and without warning the transmission began slipping so badly that I barely made it home from the Manteca Walmart. Once home, I perused the Yelp reviews of local transmission shops. ABC had good reviews, so I gave them a call. David, I believe the managing partner, but not certain, gave me detailed information about what to expect. With so few miles, it didn't seem to either of us that it could be worn out, but we wouldn't know 'til they got into it. We discussed price, dates they'd likely be finished depending on the repair needed, and the towing cost from my home to their shop. Upon removal of the transmission, David advised that it wasn't worn, as we expected it shouldn't be, but that a part had broken. The part was a "piston", whatever that is in a transmission. He quoted a repair price of $3000, half that of his original guesstimate of a complete rebuild when I first called. He advised he'd have it ready on Tuesday of the following week. Fine. I gave him the go-ahead and waited. I called him that Tuesday, and he advised he'd have it ready that afternoon. I told him we'd pick it up the following day, and we showed up at the shop about mid-morning on Wednesday. The car was done and waiting for us in the parking lot. The exterior was washed (!) and it was good to see that it was all ready to go. My wife drove it home and said that it ran fine. I have driven it since and all seemed well. The quoted price is what we were charged - it was actually a bit less than $3000. It was ready on time. The tow charge was less than the estimate. And they even washed it! A transmission repair... $3000. The money saved over a rebuild... $3000. A transmission shop that charged less than estimated for the tow, was honest about the needed repair, had it done at the agreed price and on time... Priceless! We took in our van because it sounded like something was wrong with the transmission. We dropped in with no appointment but he took some time to take the vehicle out to listen to it, came back, ran diagnostics for the check engine light, even took it into the shop to get under the hood to really give things a look. In the end, it wasn't the transmission but everything he did was free of charge and recommended a few places that would be able to service what the problem was. read more

Love this place. I took my car first to Aamco and they tried to run game on me. Brought my car here and have been nothing but happy with them! Quoted me exactly what I ended up paying. Work was done on time, and with a smile. As a girl on a fixed income (with small kids) I did not ever feel like I was being taken advantage of. Be Careful - Beware Took my car in and asked if they could look at it - the owner took it for a test drive, came back and said he did not have good news - I asked if it could be fixed and right away said it will take a lot of money. I asked how much he stated $3,500 - come on, really I can get a rebuilt as well as have some put it in for less than half that. He did not check the fluid or ask me any question as to what it was doing. Would not recommend this business at all, in fact I am telling people not to go there - in my opinion it seemed to suspicion that he came up with $3,500 and the only thing he did was test drive it. Beware and Stay away from this place He was not rude, in fact he was nice, but aren't all scammers nice to the people they are scamming. read more

I brought my 98 Ford Windstar because my transmission was barely working. They gave me a quote on rebuilding it and worked with me on the price. Before the warranty was up the transmission started acting up. They could not get the problem to reoccur and they let me know that I could take it to a mechanic of my choice and they stood behind their work and paid to have my transmission fixed. Even though my transmission had some issues, I gave them 5 stars because first of all they stood behind their warranty and second of all I was a very difficult customer and very demanding. Didn't know how to work with Car and also do didn't have a good customer service just wasted money

I would like to say this shop has some good vibes when dealing with Dave and the crew. I was very hesitant about bringing my truck anywhere in the valley as I'm new to the area. I did some research (extensive) before I even came here, and found that this shop was rated #1 as far as transmission shops go for Manteca per Google and yelp. This covered all avenues as far as customer service and quality work goes. Dave was really cool and straight up with no ill intentions when talking with him about any repairs or problems, and there crew seemed on the job answering any questions, and willing to help no questions asked. So with all that said I have found a transmission shop (don't have to drive to the Bay). I recommend this shop with all stars attached with no hesitating to all troubled transmissions in the greater San Joaquin area and beyond. And be careful they have a serious sense of humor!!!!! read more

I took my 1989 Broncos to Alfredo to adjust my transmission after it aborted my smog check. Alfredo took it for a quick test drive, came back and made an adjustment. Then took it out again and made another adjustment. This did the trick. Alfredo even stayed after closing to wait for the smog check to make sure no other adjustments were needed. Well David, the thing is this. My transmission only needed the park pin leaver repaired and a rear tail seal replaced, e drugging else was fine - it shifted great and it had overdrive, when you VA e it back k to me it slammed into second best so hard it shook the whole truck, then it didn't shift into third until almost 50 and it doesn't shift into fourth until 74 mph! And there is 'NO' overdrive Dave if the Sheriff's department isn't on to you yet (yes Save I know you do their cars) If four shop didn't already have their account you wouldn't have it and that's all that keeps you in businesses. This shop was recommended by Jack's Transmission as I had a newer vehicle and they felt it would better serviced here and they were correct. Alfredo did an excellent job of not only diagnosing, but also repairing the transmission on my 2011 Ford Edge AWD. I was probably a few miles away from total destroying it with a crack planetary gear. He took his time to make sure everything was back and actually better than original specifications. To do all this was not an overnight job and he made sure that Christine and David kept me informed of the complete process. Took my Corolla in for a cv axle replacement. Final price ended up being $100 under estimate and they found a separate and potentially catastrophic issue that they not only fixed for free but offered free periodic checkups to make sure I don't accidentally blow my transmission up.
