She always does whatever I ask and often recommends new styles to try and I have never been disappointed. I have also used her for various special events like proms and weddings and I'm always overjoyed with the end result. She is not only talented with hair but also with make up. On my wedding day was the most beautiful I have ever looked and I have her to thank. If you go anywhere else, you are crazy. I know live 2 hours away and no one else touches my hair. I called for a last-minute pre-travel haircut and they were able to fit me in half an hour later. Carmen was very nice and gave me exactly the cut I wanted: simple, no layers, no fuss, no nothing. It doesn't sound complicated, but many stylists don't believe you when you say you want something BASIC. The salon has a nice, neighborhood-y vibe, plus a totally cute dog (who was banished outside after a while), and the cost is better than fair. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

I love Tammy at Scenic Roots! She is the best! I moved out of area to Massachusetts and tried unsuccessfully to get a hairdresser that could cut my hair and highlight it the way she did. I tried several but no one could do as good a job as Tammy. She is personable, the salon is very clean and she does a terrific job. I work in CT so I have given up trying to find a salon close to where I live and am going to stick with Tammy. read more

Tiara did exactly what I wanted for a haircut. It has been a long time since I have gotten a nice haircut. Very experienced, very professional, and VERY afforadable. I used to go to a another business that was $60 bucks a cut. Did a good job, but it would break the bank, and as a college student, I can't do that.
