These guys obviously don't work on commission and have no reason to pressure anyone - maybe not everyone is used to good service! We were returning some fenders we bought from the larger West Marine in Charleston, but thought better if it, and an employee offered to pump up both of them as a courtesy since the previous store sold them uninflated. When asked, he also made recommendations on products based on his personal experience. The store is an "express," thus it may not have the full inventory of a larger West Marine such as clothes and shoes but they do a great job keeping well stocked on the essentials. Dick's had put out a flyer offering 2 types of Schwinn bikes at 50% off. The problem is their website and store didn't have the same offer. After contacting their customer service, I had a note offering a "price match" in which they honored the 50% price. A special call-out to Chris Campbell, one of their service technicians, who did an excellent job adjusting the gears and brakes during the safety check. He did a great job explaining the safe operation and maintenance of the bike. As a precaution, I took out their warranty for the free tune up and safety inspections. Check out was quick and easy.
