I love to try different cigar bars whenever I travel. I looked forward to having a smoke after a long day in Atlanta. When I first arrived, I thought I was in the wrong place. Not sure how this place earned its 4 stars, but it's definitly not a 4 star estsblishemt. The vibes are low key and there are different seating options: comfy couches, tables, bar, and high top seating. For the reviewer who said the humidor is small: that is not the case. The music is not too loud and allows conversation and viewing of TVs if that's what you want. We went last nite and the wait staff was very friendly and welcoming. The drinks are on point, but I don't order mix drinks anyway. Each seating area has large clean ashtrays and plenty of matches (although I bring my own butane lighters). The best thing about this cigar bar is the smoke filtering system. When you leave you won't smell like an ashtray and there is no haze of smoke billowing in the air because the minute you exhale, the smoke dissipates. The filtration system is that good. We bought our own cigars in to smoke. We asked for a torch and they only have matches??? So, I took off a star. A box of matches to light. Stick ?? No way! The drink were ok.... Nice spot that's open late. Easy to walk to the parking deck right around the corner. Our waiter was really nice and you can easily buy cigars if you left yours at home. Drinks were reasonably priced. As someone who doesn't get out of work sometimes until around 11pm, it's nice to be able to head somewhere that's open late during the week. So I will say that this area is good, the location is a block or two but it has plenty of things to walk to. Super close to the beltline, it's basically the next block over. Now when you focus on the cigar bar, cigar bar is okay. The staff and the bartenders aren't super amazing, nice enough though. You may have to wait a while, but not a big deal. Anywhere I go I typically go for an old fashioned, and this was a little bit disappointing. Even the rest of my party said that it wasn't the smoked old-fashioned that we had been requesting. It seems like everybody mixes their drinks differently, but it was noticeable. We had been there before so we had something to base our opinion on as far as the drinks go. Maybe this bartender didn't have a great night, who knows. But it's not the end of the world! The cigar selection is pretty decent, pretty decent indeed. But the real main event for me, are the wings. These might be the best wings in the city in my humble opinion. And I've had wings and a myriad of places in Atlanta area! You can get you a drink, smoke, and order a 10-piece wing and you will be satisfied for the night! The lemon pepper is amazing. The garlic parmesan is the truth! The orange jerk, my goodness! It has the right amount of heat on it to make the wings dancing your mouth when you eat them! I don't need to smoke, I don't need to drink, but I do need those wings often and consistently lol! I've eaten there and never been disappointed! The garlic parmesan, you can see the build above the garlic and the parmesan on the wings, it's not lightly dusted, it is bathed in it. Lemon pepper has that Wing look with a yellow Hue because they are really peppering the hell out of that lemon and throwing it on the wing! Actually, I haven't had a flavor Wing there that I didn't like! So yes this is the champion moment for the cigar bar, but honestly not for the cigars. I didn't have any food here but I did have my first cigar. It was a chill atmosphere with a few tv's on. Definitely a vibe if you and your friends or significant other like cigars and want to chill. I will say the smell does transfer. I had to wash my hair and clothes immediately after coming here but I figure that's part of the experience. I'd go back for another cigar and maybe ask some more questions. Apparently there are different cuts you can do on the tip, who knew. read more

Top notch establishment. The humidor isn't huge but there is a good selection. It's right off the belt line so there is a ton of other stuff to do in that area also. This is a good place to finish the night. There was a pretty good scotch and drink selection, a very lengthy list. Service to tables was kind of slow but I don't think that should affect the rating as it's covid and no one works. I think it was like two people serving all the tables and tending to the humidor. Prices aren't bad, right in par for a place like this in the city, not a huge food selection but who goes for the food lol. There are a lot of big screen tvs and comfortable seating. I enjoyed my visit thoroughly. Some of the other cigar bars in the Atlanta area are predicated on a level of pomposity or pageantry. I have been to cigar bars that have Lamborghinis and Bentleys parked out front or require a level of dress that requires an extensive effort to achieve. That is not to say that this place is low brow. It is a fine environment with a decent variety in their walk in humidor and their extensive bar. But when I walked in I felt immediately at ease and their friendly and relaxing environment gave me the opportunity to do what I really wanted... to simply sit down and enjoy a good smoke and a nice single malt without the pressure to make a great deal of effort to fit in. Highland Cigar is in Inman Park; located on the second level so you have to climb up a good bit of stairs. I didn't see an elevator or wheel chair access which is unfortunate. Inside there are plenty of places to sit- the bar, table tops, and comfy leather couches. After picking our seats we went into the room where the cigars are held. The choices were slim and there were a couple of empty boxes where cigars should have been. I wish an employee would have been there to help with choosing because I ended up picking one that i wasn't a huge fan of. After choosing the cigar you can go over to the bar and have them cut it for you. They were having a special on a flight of three whiskeys and cigar but we opted not to get the flight. There are boxes of matches at each table, the first box of matches we picked up was empty, but feel free to grab a full one and light up. Overall, the ambience was very relaxing and the drinks were great! I didn't notice a food menu so definitely eat before. read more

I can see style wise why this place would be popular. Me and my friend started with a cigar. We also ordered drinks and food. The waitress was great but it was kinda confusing as there was also a waiter who supposedly helping us but I'm more then positive he was higher then a kite. Even though he thought he was hiding it-he was not. I got the shareable steak tacos. The steak was finely chopped and I enjoyed them. I mean this place is decent. I'm sitting down as we speak, smoking and watching some NCAA. I'm currently smoking a Regius which is a light blend and I'm pairing it with Bulleit Rye. Honestly I thought this place was going to be better. Now I'm sure it's different at night when people start to pack this place and I can totally see a huge difference. Right now it's early noon and it's kind of bland. They play great music to where you can dance to it and I love the fact that there's flat screens everywhere with great comfy seating. I totally dislike their cigar selection. These are brands I've never heard of but the prices are great. There is a limited supply of cigars here; better off going to a smoke shop or liquor store that have better cigars. This place is great for big groups and basically having a great time socializing. Highland Cigar Bar is a great place to mingle and enjoy a nice cigar and a drink. The downside is they need more help. Literally for about 2 hours on a Thursday night there was one person working both the cigar room, the bar, and the tables! I also ordered the guacamole that was listed on the menu to be told that they didn't have guacamole.
