Overall, it was a good experience. I felt our instruction was detailed between explaining the why behind steps and demonstrating. We got a lesson in knife skills that was cool. Dishes made: -Paella (chicken and a meatless version for our vegans) -Tortilla chips -Pico de gallo -Guacamole -Sangria My only con was that we started late (more than 20 mins) so there was a lot of waiting around at first. I undetstsnd things can happen which is why thebexprrienfe was overall fun and positive. Once we got going, the pace stayed at a steady flow and we were not rushed out at the end. Would recommend if you're in the Atlanta area. The next group after us was also a corporate event, so I'd say the setup works particularly well for that (groups less than 15).

Our instructor was so entertaining, southern, and sassy (his words lol). He was really patient with some of the people in our group who weren't as experienced in the kitchen and gave tons of tips along the way. I'm not sure it was relaxing haha, but a group of 20 making pasta and sauce from scratch is almost guaranteed to be a chaotic good time. I recommend this for work teams, families who want a group activity, couples, friend groups, or even solo. I'd love to go back and try another cuisine class - there are so many to choose from! Plus there's a drag brunch option that our instructor teaches, which is probably really fun too.

What should have been a 30-second transaction turned into one of the strangest retail experiences I've had in a long time. The cashier, Sophia, simply refused to complete the sale. Instead, she remained standing at the register while other paying customers waited in line until a manager eventually stepped in and finished the transaction. Let that sink in: a cashier holding up the line and refusing to ring up a customer for no legitimate reason until a manager had to intervene. If the owners care to review their camera footage from that time, they'll see the entire interaction. At no point was I rude, disruptive, or inappropriate. The escalation came entirely from the employee. What stood out most was the willingness to create a scene and delay multiple customers over what appeared to be a personal reaction rather than any store policy or legitimate issue. Retail is not complicated: ring up the customer, be reasonably polite, and keep the line moving. Apparently that was too much to ask here. I'm not looking for compensation and I'm not interested in arguing about it. But it was such an unnecessarily unpleasant interaction that I felt it was worth documenting. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this location.

On my most recent visit on 1/26/26, I was told to put my bag away and then instructed to remove my hood by a security guard. The way this was handled felt unnecessary, aggressive, and targeted. As a paying customer, I did not feel respected or welcomed. What made the situation worse was the feeling of being racially profiled by an African-American person, which is something I never expected to experience here. Regardless of who delivers it, profiling and biased treatment are unacceptable and deeply disappointing. Because of these repeated negative experiences, I will not be returning. I hope management takes a serious look at how customers are treated and ensures that everyone is handled with professionalism, respect, and fairness. 0 stars!!! Don't visit this establishment unless you want to be pushed racially profiled!

The beer selection was posted right on the bar--it was extensive, and we were genuinely excited about the options. After looking it over, we both decided to go with beer flights to get a good taste of what they had on tap. For food, Wifey ordered the Chicken Tenders with French Fries, and I went with the Golden Chicken Sandwich. The beer flights came out quickly and were clearly labeled. While we sat at the bar, some old-school hip-hop played in the background. It kept us nodding along while we sampled our beers. Not long after, our food arrived--hot and fresh. The chicken tenders came with fries, and I managed to sneak a few--they were perfectly crispy. My sandwich really hit the mark--crispy chicken with great texture and solid flavor. I was chatting with our bartender and learned they have a full-service restaurant upstairs, so of course I had to head up for a little recon. As soon as I reached the top, I was warmly welcomed by the host and staff. I let them know I just wanted to check out the space. Upstairs had a completely different feel from downstairs. While the lower level had more of a laid-back, neighborhood bar atmosphere, the upstairs was bright, modern, and a bit more refined. I even noticed some outdoor seating, which we'll definitely have to try next time. One thing to note: the beer selection upstairs isn't as extensive as what's offered downstairs. I headed back down, and Wifey and I ordered another flight to share. At one point, I looked over and said, "I could honestly stay here all day." Great music, cold beer, tasty food, and sports on the TVs--it checked all the boxes for a relaxed and fun afternoon. Instagram: @whatsthenextmemory

I'd been seeing Staplehouse all over Instagram and hearing about their Michelin Guide recognition,…read moreso I was excited to finally give it a try. As somebody who genuinely loves food and especially Italian sandwiches, I ordered the Italian Grinder for pickup. Now, a little context. I'm a newer parent, and that day I was dressed casually sweats, hoodie, hat, just running around handling life. Nothing crazy. I only mention that because when I went in to pick up my order, the interaction left me uncomfortable. Two employees greeted me, and after I confirmed my name for the pickup, one of them held onto the bag tightly and asked me again if I was sure the order was mine, joking about making sure I wasn't stealing it. I laughed it off in the moment, but honestly, I couldn't fully tell if it was meant as a joke or not. And to be fair, I don't want to assume malicious intent or act like I know what was in that person's heart. But I also have to be honest about how it felt. I genuinely don't believe that same joke or comment would've been made to somebody who looked less "threatening," older, or dressed differently than me. Whether intentional or unconscious, moments like that stick with people. I'm a father, a dancer, a creative, and somebody who tries to greet people warmly and respectfully wherever I go. So walking out of there, I just felt a little judged instead of welcomed. The sandwich itself? Solid. Definitely good food. I'd give the grinder a 4 out of 5. But food is also tied to experience, and unfortunately the interaction took away from it for me. I don't think I'll be going back, but I do hope this feedback is received with understanding and not defensiveness, because perception and hospitality matter too.
