As Dr. G said, "he's our trauma guy". Since then, I have only seen Dr. B. I am so pleased with Dr. Bauer on all levels. Professional but caring and empathetic, he is also quite humble and soft spoken. I am certainly glad he is my surgeon. He has involved me in the decision-making. For instance, since the skin was pierced he advised an external fixator would be the best route to avoid infection. He made sure I understood what that would involve and that I would know what to expect. Next week he will see me again and we will discuss when to remove this contraption and what to do next. I have a lot of faith in him and how he has taken care of me thus far.

Somewhere along the line there was a miscommunication about my insurance.. When I drove 34 miles away to this appointment I was told they didn't accept my insurance.. I asked why and they let me know where everyone in the lobby could hear they do not accept Obama Care. I politely explained to the lady the only way for me to have insurance was through the market place because my business encourages us to use the market place.. Once again felt as if I was snubbed for having an insurance in which I pay full price for out of my own pocket.. Then was told I can pay full price for the visit or cancel my appointment.. I was treated as if my insurance was some how inferior because I abided by the Federal Mandated laws.. My insurance pays just like any other persons insurance. A person shouldn't be punished for paying for their own insurance..

Sometimes my head hurts and sometimes my lower back hurts and they will schedule me accordingly. So upon arrival the front office staff will have you sign in and give you a clip board for information about where you are hurting and when finished you hand it back and after a short period of time you will be escorted to a room where Dr. McKenzie will review your paper work and asks questions pertaining to your condition then you will have time to ask him questions. Then comes the best part...the adjustment. What I do to get ready is deep breathing and I think relaxing thoughts. Once he is finished I feel so much better and happily go home for a nice nap.

The nurse and office staff were very professional and helpful. I believe I found myself a great podiatrist. I won't see them until next year unless something comes up. I should mention that they do require a credit/debit card to be in file and will charge the card if the account is over 90 days delinquent. Their office is at Woodway and conveniently right on the 84 feeder.
